I have to say that this used to be THE Thai place my wife and I would go to. But after the last few attempts to get some decent Pad Thai, the results are inconsistent and sub-par. Were on the hunt for a new Thai food place now. Strangely, I ordered the Gang Gai and wife ordered Pad Thai again. Mine was fresh, colorful and tasted ok. Hers looked like it had been sitting for hours and smelled sour. The rice noodles were yellowed and stiff. I called to complain and they made her a Gang Gai because she liked the way mine looked. Honestly, when I brought it back home we discovered that the dish looked completely different than mine. Only had bamboo shoots and overcooked looking green peppers, and was really too saucy. Poor wife!

The food here is awesome! My husband and I eat here probably once a week. We have tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Our "go-to" items are the Noodle Roni, Peanut Noodle, Vegetable Curry with Tofu, Sys Fried Rice, Peanut Curry, and more recently the Pad See-ew. The Crab Cheese and Spring rolls are a must. As for spiciness...it tends to be hit or miss. We almost always order medium and there are times when it isnt hot enough and times when it is more than medium. Portions are generous and worth every penny. If you get a chance to try the bubble drinks...do so...they are delish!

Ive been to 10+ Thai restaurants all over the state to varying degrees of quality. This is hands down the the worst Thai and any restaurant Ive been too. I ordered their Sy Pad Thai, which should be their introductory dish to their food. I took 2 bites and didnt touch the rest of it. Extremely sweet and tasted like "candy". My Thai friend with me tried and said it tasted like ketchup. His gang gai was pretty good though. No offer to try something else or take it off my bill. My worst restaurant experience ever. Never going back, and I recommend you to go to Amarin (it was closed for the 4th of July) in Warren.

If you eat Thai food, you might just be the kind of person who rides a bike. Maybe even a recumbent bike. Maybe you have a beard, or maybe you use soap made from hemp. If youre into those things, youll probably dig Thai food. If you do, you certainly dig the fact that Sy Thai is in a convenient location for St. Clair Shores (and nearby) residents. Youll dig the fact that you can order something and eat it for a day or two. Youll dig the atmosphere. Youll dig the quick take out and friendly phone service. You might dig the Peanut Curry. If you "dig" stuff, youll probably dig Sy Thai Shores. I know I do.

Tasty food, large portions, and semi-reasonably priced. Some items are very reasonable, some a little pricey. The fresh rolls are very tasty, and the sauce with them-excellent. Noodle dishes are all great so far. I usually have great experiences here. However, I went a few weeks ago for some of the worst service at any restaurant Ive been to. I wouldnt go back if it were my first visit, but I will give it another shot to hopefully restore my respect before publishing a description of my horrible experience.

If youre Asian looking for real Thai food. This isnt the place for you. Ordered some larb and all youll eat is lots of onions. The meat looks like a stirfry dish. No taste whatsoever. So dissappointed, I wanted to throw the dish at their face. Thats not thai food, youre kidding me. You open a restaurant and your chef skill suck big time. Cant believe it. Tossed both chicken larb and beef larb away. One taste is all it takes to trash it. It will be my first and last time there.

Called in for take out a single rice meal, was told 20 min. I arrived exactly in 20 minutes and paid for the meal. As I was waiting, a couple at a table took their order. after a few minutes, another lady came into to order for take out at the register (I called in the order!). The couple at the table got their food before me. The lady who came into order got her food before me. All in all, it took 40 minutes.

Came in for lunch and had a good meal. The quality and quantity of food is great for what I was charged. My lunch was served with a very nice soup and these crispy chip things that were different. The only thing is I think their idea of hot is REALLY hot compared to most other Thai restaurants. If you usually get it hot, you might want to get it medium here.

Fantastic. Ive been coming here at least once every 2 weeks for several years for lunch and dinner, and they are phenomenally consistent. Ive had at least half of the menu. Portions are big, prices are fair, and the food is delicious. If you like curry, try their signature Noodle Roni for a cheesy twist on a standard dish.

Not bad for east-side Thai. Service is good but not always speedy. If you go for lunch make sure youre not in a rush. Food us very good. Not as spicy as west side Thai. Here medium is fairly medium. The lunch portion is plenty for lunch with a good amount to save for lunch the next day! The soup is really good here too.

This is not Thai cuisine sorry. I need to tell you its far from thai. I feel bad for the customers, they dont know what Thai cuisine is. I have been in real Thai restaurants Thai speaking servers and chefs, from the east coast to the Pacific Northwest. Thai cuisine is not Chinese. Sorry people

We love this place! Consistently good food - although I must warn you their pad ped is NOT a coconut curry (like at most other places), but they will sub in a coconut red curry sauce at your request. I love the curry noodle and the sys pad Thai is my teen s favorite!

This place used to be very very good but lately the food is average. I order Pad Thai and sometimes the noodles are hard or greasy. I think it they have a new cook. The food comes out sooo fast I dont think they take time to cook it right. Not my fav place anymore.

Dont let appearances fool you, this tiny strip mall location is quite a gem. Best fresh roll on the East side! Food always tastes authentic, the presentation is fun and portions are very generous (dinner entrees always turn into lunch the next day)!

Awesome thai! I LOVE their Pattani Curry and crab cheese. Their spice level is serious. I really enjoy spicy food but have a low tolerance for it. I usually get medium and sometimes its too much for me. You will not regret eating here.

Restaurant is very clean and the staff for the most part is good, but the reason I gave 3 star is because the food was just average, its not that great or anything special. Their portions are the only thing really worthy.

Best Thai food in the area! There are not many restaurants I can say that can consistently make my meal perfect every time, but they always manage to do it. Curry Noodles, Pad Prik and Kow Pad are all recommended dishes.
