Ill start by saying that Ive been going to achatz restaurant for as long as I can remember. Something must have happened recently though because this last visit was one of the worst restaurant experiences that Ivery ever had. I ordered the chicken cordon Bleu with a baked potato and side salad, and my girlfriend ordered a new York sirloin with a side of "cheesey potatoes". The chicken cordon Bleu was literally a store bought frozen processed chicken patty type thing that was reheated and covered in some sort of gravy, the side salad was brown and limp, and the baked potato was so over cooked that I had a hard time cutting it with a steak knife. The sirloin was okay, but we were charged $8.95 for a side of "cheesey potatoes" that consisted of burnt hash browns covered in cheese whizz or some sort of processed liquid cheese. To top it off the toilets in the womens bathroom dont even flush. I wouldnt recommended this place to anyone after that. Avoid it at all costs

If you stop here you have to try a piece of their PIE...homemade!! There is an Achatz chain that sells pies but this is NOT the same! The crust tastes just like my grandma used to make- homemade- that I cant get anymore. My family comes up to visit and are requesting that I bring several of these home for Thanksgiving- which is definitely saying something!

Good food, not great but consistently good. Service is always perfect and theres a lovely view. The pies are genuinely homemade and truly delicious. They usually have strawberry rhubarb!
