When they did my wedding cake, I told them that I wanted to have different flavored layers for the tiers. They gave me the samples I wanted to try. My mother was insisting on carrot cake. knowing also my husband to be at the time loves carrot cake as well but I had to have it every year knowing my mother for her bday. however, I did try it. instantaniously when I tried it, I froze with back in my childhood and the reminding taste of what carrot cake was sappose to taste like. I never wanted carrot cake in any of the tiers... but this cake made it to the top of my list... and tier lol. was perfect for my theme too.

This place is absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a cake for a wedding anniversary, Southgate Bakery delivered it to the restaurant without so much as a box to put it in or a name for the cake. The restaurant had no idea that the cake was for us and gave it to another party. When we went back to Southgate Bakery to tell them that we didnt even get our cake, they wouldnt do anything for us. Thank goodness the restaurant went out of their way to provide us with another cake. Do not go here, there are many better bakeries in the downriver area.

I ordered my wedding cake through Don. The cake was amazing, and he was just as awesome. The whole staff was so polite and helpful. Not to mention the cake was the best I had ever eaten.Go in and test them out, you will not be disappointed.

We got our wedding shower cake, wedding cake, baby shower cake, first daughters baptism cake and second daughters baptism cake from this bakery. All of the cakes were beautiful and delicious. We love them!
