We used to go to this restaurant a fair amount, but over the last couple years the service has really gone downhill. Yesterday was the last straw. My wife and I went in and seen that a waitress was just cleaning off a booth, she got about half done and left it so we figured rather than stand in the doorway we would go sit down and she could finish cleaning it when she got back. There were 4 or 5 other couples in the restaurant at the time and 3 waitresses. We sat there for 5 minutes and no one came to finish cleaning the table, give us menus or offer to get our drinks. So we sat and sat, all the while I see waitresses behind the counter giggling and eating. After about 10 minutes a waitress delivered an order to a booth next to us, she looked right at me, and walked back toward the counter. I thought she was going to get a rag and finish cleaning the table so I didnt say anything. Well, she went back behind the counter and was talking with another lady. We waited another 5 minutes or so, and it was plain the wait staff were not interested in waiting on us (or anyone else in the restaurant) so my wife and I got up and left. It is a shame that this place as sunk to such poor service. The food is decent but it is not so outstanding that we were going to beg for someone to finish cleaning our table and wait on us. This was strike three for this place, we will never be back, and from what I seen in there the last couple times we were there I think a lot of people feel the same way.

So excited to visit after reading the great reviews around the web. Truly a hidden gem thats been around 60 years under various owners with hundreds of regular local customers filling the dining area everyday. A beautiful decorative dining room spotless clean with a fun friendly staff smoothly working together. The owner with helper on the grill plating up fantastic meals. Super delicious house made soups. We had a fun brunch today. Me the Chicken Fried Steak n Eggs a wonderful dish I so Loves also full order Biscuits n Gravy spot on. Those Beef Tips over Egg Noodles rule on the special board every Saturday. A Deep Fried Chicken dinner a classic diner style was very good. We all agreed a return visit a must. The folks make you feel right at home. Small town diners like this are hard to find in the area making this truly a special place you need to visit.

Great food. A lot of regulars go there, so there is a chance you might get someones regular booth. If you do you will know by the way youre getting starred at. It seems everybody knows everybody. Id suggest going when it not so busy to avoid getting a regulars booth. Other than that the food is great.

Everything was delicious and the service was great!! I had greek salad and gyro sandwich-as god as if not better than greek town restaurants. The blt, ham sandwich and chicken ceasar wrap were better than most other restaurants acvording to my husband and friends.

Very fair prices and great home cooker diner meals. You get plenty of food for the price you pay, the waitstaff is always friendly - it doesnt get much more "small down cafe" than this place. Only caveate is to bring cash, they dont take any cards or checks.

Very good home town feel, very friendly good service. A must for anyone in the area. Oh yeah did I mention the food is phenomenal? I would recommend the Southern Omelette for anyone who wants a big hearty meal. But its tough to beat for breakfast.

Not a chain restaurant, an independent restaurant with good food and friendly service. We eat there every Friday for their turkey dinner. There is so much food on the plate that we always take some home for the next days dinner.

Great food, especially the gyro with the cucumber sauce, made better than the places in GreekTown. Great prices especially for breakfast and lunch. You for sure wont leave with your belly or wallets empty.
