Run away, dont walk!! The first and last time we went there, we ordered 4 dinners. General Tso chicken, orange chicken, sesame chicken and a vegetable stir fry. The girl at the register, took our money and gave us our change, turned around walked to the back of the kitchen, grabbed a large, open container, heaping with McDonald-type chicken nuggets, that were sitting on a chair, carried it to the cooks work counter, sat the germ-y container down, grabbed a stainless Steele bowl in one hand, and with the other pushed chicken into the bowl, turned around, dumped it into the fryer, picked up a bowl of her un-finished dinner, and finished eating while our chicken cooked. I was already un-nerved by all of this, but could not hold my tongue another minute when I saw her set down her bowl, wipe both hands on her butt and grab our to go boxes, to pack our food. I asked her if she would please go wash her hands. She tried to act like she agreed with my idea, but she stepped out of sight only briefly, and came out wiping her hands with a dry paper towel. By this time a male co-worker who had also been eating in the back of the kitchen came out, and without washing his hands, began cooking the rest of our order. Even though we paid $45.00 for our stomachache, we considered it a bargain, because so far, (at lest) no one has had to go to the hospital!!

Two young boys ( under 16) were manning the register. They were both reading and we had to get their attention. We ordered and sat down. The younger one started picking his nose. I didnt say anything because he wasnt touching our food. We get the food and its awful. The kung pao that my mom ordered was ok but the general tsos chicken I ordered was missing a key ingredient: the chicken! It was like I was eating deep fried breading. Hard and crunchy. Yuck! My fried dumplings were nothing special. In fact, Im sure Ive had the same kind from the store, in a bag from the freezer. As were eating, the nose picker moves to sit at the empty table next to us where he continues to read his book and pick his nose. When we were finished, after I choked down my crispy "chicken", I walked up too the counter and had to get the other boys attention again, so that he could get us go to boxes, with his hopefully booger-free hands. I will never eat there again.

Im a vegetarian who loves spicy food. But every time I order my carry-out "hot" from here, its not spicy at all. In fact, it borders on bland. Yes, I add crushed red pepper, but its not the same. To be fair, I find this to be the case with most Chinese restaurants in the Ann Arbor area, and even with some Thai restaurants. I gave them 2 stars for the freshness of the veggies, and a 3rd for the large portion. But they really need to kick it up a notch or two.

My favorite Chinese food take-out for miles around. Aside from great-tasting food, I love that their kitchen is clearly in view of the lobby, so you can see for yourself that they maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safe cooking/prep practices. The food always tastes fresh, and they accommodate special requests with accuracy; portions are generous and prices are reasonable.

I read a review, that Saline did not have any good Chinese restaurants. We have ordered out from the two others in Saline, they were mediocre, but my kids could not stop saying "this is the best Chinese we have ever eaten". So our experience with New China was great!

This is a hole in the wall fast food Chinese take out. Prices are ok, the staff is nice enough, but dont expect to be blown away with quality or value.
