Ziingo (3830 W. Centre Ave.) in Portage is the newest venture for Chinn Chinn owner John Tsui. While the former is a sit-down eatery, Ziingo will be take-out only. Zip in and go, Ziingo. Opened in mid-October, the restaurant is partially owned by Tsuis children and long-time employees like Logan Saidla, who worked at Chinn Chinn since 2004 and will be a part-owner and kitchen manager. Hungry? Walk up to the counter and choose from four proteins: chicken, steak, pork, or tofu. Choose your veggies and add either white or brown rice or noodles. Top your concoction with a sauce. They offer curry, kumpao, or mongolean sauces. They also have a variety of hand-made appetizers. Everythign is made fresh right in front of you like Q-doobie. "You will be in and out in minutes," said Tsui. Sounds like a great idea for busy soccer dads who are sick of spinach, tomato, and mushroom pizza EVERY Wednesday.

When this place first opened, it had exceptional food. Recently their quality has started to slide though. The last meals we ordered ended up with more than an inch of sauce in the bottom of the bowl and little rice or other ingredients to soak it up. Just tasted and felt like a gross salty Asian soup. Im not sure if they are trying to cut cost or just have bad staff. Either way the meal was not appetizing. With their prices, which are on the higher side for a carry out restaurant, I would expect more quality and care put into their dishes. Not sure if I will be going back.

Like salty soup? They gave my wife and I way too much sauce that was over salted. I have been here twice because I liked the curry the first time I went alone but after this last experience when my wife and I got something other than curry, we will not be going back again unless we want curry. They need a cook and server who are familiar with asian ingredients and proper portions.

Whoa, if you like Asian food, you have found a gem. Its "Qdoba style" Asian bowl. Pick what you want to go in the bowl. Menu changes daily and its posted on Twitter. Sauces are in order of how spicy they are. Staff is very helpful in determining what goes with what. If you hit pork meatball day, you are in luck. They are delicious and go quickly!

Fast and, more importantly, super tasty. Your rice or noodle bowl is made in front of you as you pick protein (the steak and chicken are delicious) and then sauce and veggies. They have some great sides too, highly recommend the cool noodles and the cabbage kimchi. Very similar flavor to Chinn Chinns (they have the same owner) but without the wait.

I went there for the first time tonight and CANT WAIT TO GO BACK! I had jasmine rice with chicken and all the veggies & kung pao sauce. I also got the crunchies and rangoons. Everything was wonderful. They were busy but very friendly and fast, portions are large. Check it out if you havent been there. You wont be sorry.

Its just ok. I was really hoping for food that was at least half as good as Chinn, three parent company. Its a great idea, worth trying. I havent found anything I can honestly say I really love in here too eat yet. But, they stay busy so..... not a dine in place. Take out only.

Great food, great atmosphere. Creative and delicious. Quick and simple solution for a Chinese craving. Love all the choices and how the selection of veggies changes each time I go in. And the cold noodles are so good. Forget subway, get zingos!

FRESH, FRESH, FRESH, FAST. Blends of Thai, Korean, and other asian cuisine. Servers like to overdue the sauce, ( which change Daileyso remember 1 scoop goes a long way. This is a great alternative to the lunches youve been having.
