Awful experience - I will never return to this restaurant after how I was treated by the owner, Andrew Lum. Last week, I ordered the Spicy Salted and I love salty foods but unfortunately the meal was so overly salted and poorly made it was inedible. I even asked a coworker to try it as well, he agreed, so it was thrown in the trash. I called Wild Ginger that day and the lady there was nice enough to offer a free meal for next time. She also happened to mention problems communicating with their cook....mistakes happen and it wasnt a big deal. Today, I called to place my order and mentioned the free meal I was given over the phone last week with details as instructed. I ordered sushi this time, and that was it...so I thought. I arrived to the restaurant and was then told by a different woman she could not comp the food? Then, a 3rd woman (server) said the owner was not around but handed me the phone as she was not allowed to comp any meal either. Confused on what was going on, I spoke to the owner and explained what happened last week and what I was told over the phone. The owner (Andrew) did not apologize to me for the meal OR for the miscommunication but instead said they should have NEVER offered the free meal to me in the first place?! He went on to say how his kitchen and staff never make mistakes, that the Spicy Salted was made correctly, and it was on me for ordering it. After a long pause of silence, I had to ask if he was still one the phone with me and whether or not I was getting the sushi. He grumbled and said snidely "How do you know you will like the sushi roll?...you didnt like the Spicy Salted". I asked why he was being so rude to me but he avoided the question and wanted to speak to his staff. Due to the fact this is now the 4th person Ive had to speak to I asked for clarification on the comped meal. Andrew then yelled into the phone at me "FINE, ILL GIVE YOU THE FREE ROLL!" Andrew - you are unprofessional and very crass. You could not have handled the situation any worse. It is clear why there are food inconsistencies and communication issues at your restaurant. I feel sorry for your staff and what they must put up with each day.

Havent tried the sushi yet, the Udon noodles were okay. The rangoons were way heavy on the salt (not sure why its in there to begin with). The Miso was on point, the thai chicken wings were really really good. Fortunately I ordered them because Im dumping the sauce on these noodles. They really load it up with chicken which I like, the noodles themselves are good, I just dont like the italian approach. It feels novice and not well thought out for fusion. If I were to do a italy inspired udon, id prolly go white wine charred fennel and onion, garlic, lemon, basil. Give me the traditional udon noodles over these. This tastes like chicken goulash (american style goulash that is) with udon instead of macaroni. The staff was friendly and I can tell they give a good effort. Ill be back. And I dont condemn them for the noodles either, I just probably wont get them; dont let this deter you from them Im sure many like them. Its not like theyre inedible or anything lol, my explanation sums it up. Them chicken wings though, killer. We were both staring at the last one like, you gunna eat that?

We decided to try Wild Ginger today after a few pretty good meals there in the past. This review today only reflects todays experience. We called to order a take out meal at 1pm. Once we had picked up our item (at 1:30pm) and we looked through the menu included, realized we were charged for the dinner portion, that is advertised for after 3pm. We called to get some clarification on the price only to be told they serve dinner all day and automatically assume our 1pm order was a dinner order. While they were nice on the phone and explained the differences, they made it clear that its up to the customer to ask for a specific portion sizes instead of relying on their advertised lunch/dinner menu that clearly states dinner is after 3pm. We are disappointed in their resolution to what, in our mind, shouldnt be an issue given the clarity of their written menu.

Wild Ginger is a good place to have access to some general Asian foods. I believe it is considered a fusion restaurant, so youll see Chinese dishes, sushi, korean dishes, etc. They have a decent selection for sushi, a good selection of entrees (noodle dishes, rice dishes, meat dishes, etc), and some interesting appetizers (steamed buns with pork belly, yum!) amongst other things. This place is good, and I have never had a bad experience. Sometimes it feels like maybe something is lacking a little bit, like presentation, or perhaps a little more care and consideration to bump the quality of any individual dish from good to great. I dont think Wild Ginger has realized its full potential, but I still think you will have a solid and tasty experience. I do recommend trying it out.

If I could give a negative number for a rating then I would. A 1 is overly generous. I suppose the restaurant was relatively clean... but absolutely THE WORST sushi we have ever had! We picked several different specialty rolls and they all tasted the same. The crunchy roll was battered like fish and chips. We also picked several lunch dishes- orange chicken, lo mein, and sweet and sour chicken for the kids. All sub par. Best part of our lunch at Wild Ginger was the profanity in the music that was playing. Nothing the an F-bomb to complete a horrible experience. We will never go to Wild Ginger again. Neither should you.

After waiting for 45 minutes (and having to track our waiter down to ask where our food was) it finally arrived. We had asked for to go containers when our food arrived, as well as our bills. We received these things with much of an attitude and were sent, rudely, on our way. The food would have probably been good if wed have been able to eat it on the spot, but the service was crappy at best. Connor was our waiter.

The sushi was worse than what you get at a buffet bar thats been sitting out for over an hour. Grocery stores have better sushi than what we got here. The music was obnoxious and threw out an f-bomb while we were trying to choke down the food. Service was slow and uneven; half our meal came out after 15 minutes and the other half 10 minutes later. Worst restaurant experience Ive had in a very long time.

Service was slow and they were not that busy. After explaining to the server that I am allergic to shellfish they brought out a roll with crab in it that I didnt order. The manager tried to make it up by bringing out the correct roll and giving us free dessert. The actual fish was pretty good but the specialty roll was disappointing. I wont be risking a visit to this place again.

Clean and acceptable atmosphere. The menus are tattered and worn. We were not welcomed at the door until someone said "just sit wherever youd like" The waitresses were socially awkward. They REALLY need fresher fish. The sushi was below average quality but presented well. We will not be returning.
