In the past this was the only chinese restaurant Id go to but the quality of the food has changed. the Mongolian beef, a favorite of mine; is still very good, but very little beef. they put more than half onions so its disappointing for the price. the lo mein has absolutely no flavor at all. do not order this! its just noodles, onion a couple mushrooms & a few pieces of meat. the crab rangoon is just the breaded outer shell, no crab or cheese can be detected, its sad. I do have to day the egg drop soup is amazing & some things there are, but for the most part; no longer worth the money...unfortunately.

A big of frustration when i first got there, having to queue with those that pick-up their take-aways. Anyway after being seated down, the food was fantastic , and huge amount for me as i am small size. Cocktails must definitely try. After finishing food, the desert and fortune cookie came, which i had to decline due to having too much. Dont compare the cost per person as I order egg soup, stir fried vege, scallops, crab meat and shrimps, ice tea and mango margarita cocktail. Service was good and fast. Cant give excellent though due to slow service at reception

I love this place!I Ive been going every since they opened ( I use to go to their other locations but this is closer to me). I always go here with my family and friends, its just such a nice atmosphere with amazing chinese food! Im in my last year of college and I swear every time I come home for the weekend I have to have First Wok!!

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant. The egg rolls are awesome, and this is the best combination fried rice we have ever had. All of the food here is excellent. My husband Wes and I dont go anywhere else. Also wonderful staff, all of these kind people are blessed to have Mr. Yu as a boss. We love and respect him.

I havent had a chance to sit down here, but I wouldnt recommend them for takeout. The food is flavorful and the portions are generous, but it cost almost twice as much as your typical takeout. The crab rangoon were disappointing and the sweet & sour chicken was a bit soggy. Im not sure the added cost was worth it.

We preordered their Peking Duck for our Valentines meal. It was wonderful. The best Valentines meal we ever had. The Duck was fabulous. They remembered everything on our order and it was very fairly priced. We are so grateful to have such a great restaurant in our neighborhood. Great Job First Wok!

Weve tried them 3 times. Each time, the waiter weve had has the personality of Lurch from the Adams Family. The egg drop soup has been overcooked all 3 times. The food was bland. The portions were large, but if the food is not good, what difference does it make? Were not going back.

Excellent food and service! Best Almond Boneless Chicken ever! Loaded with delicious crunchy vegetables, light sauce, tons of chicken. The potion was HUGE! There was enough for at least three meals. I will definitely return when l back in Grand Rapids!

Ive only had the pleasure to go once, but it was great. We often visited a sister restaurant to the North. Im glad that there is a second option when were in this part of town. The food was as I expected it, and the friendly service was a huge bonus.

I ordered the sesame chicken. the chicken was expired!!! It tasted vary sour and so were the egg rolls!!! Then when i talked to the staff about it, he argued with me about it!!! We got maybe 5 miles down the rode and i puked it all up!!!!

Each element of your meal is a delight. The lunch portions are great and so good you will injure yourself trying to eat all of it. Egg drop soup is the best in town possibly the world. The service is so quick it will freak your bean.

Had the Mapo Tofu. Extra spicy. It was hot and tasty, just the way it should be. You should try it. Yum. One oddity, they put veggies in their Hot and Sour Soup. It is unholy delicious, but not traditional. Try it anyway.

Terrible good. I have better more flavorful entrees and a Chinese buffet. Why this restaurant is rated so high, Ill never know. Crab Rangoon should taste a bit like it has crab not just the cream cheese.. too much to list.

Not good...I ordered to go...Kung Po beef. I ordered at 6:30 PM on a Monday... The beef was un-edible...I highly doubt it was cooked to order...Lots of celery, which was stringy...no sauce...Ill never go back.

First Wok is our favorite Chinese restaurant in Grand Rapids. The food is amazing and the lunch specials are hard to beat. Bob is the best waiter in Grand Rapids! Highly recommended!!

My favorite Chinese restaurant, its not your typical Chinese buffet. Its a bit more classy than that. You order your food off a menu and the descriptions of the food are helpful.
