The Colonial Restaurant is the typical dive type diner. When you enter, the door has built up grime on it from other peoples hands touching it. It is obviously never cleaned. The last time I was there, the front door was propped open to let fresh air in. It did, along with flies. The interior décor is filled in old records on the wall, along with 1950s car type things. Their food is marginal at the best. The patty melt sandwich was so bland and tasteless. The burger was not seasoned in any way. The French Fries werent grade A cut, but smaller pieces, such as grade B fries. The plastic squeeze ketchup bottles, and with the salt and pepper shakers have a greasy feel to them. Also, never cleaned on a regular basis. They have raised their prices in the last couple of years to a point where it makes sense to go elsewhere. Most of the employees that work there are somehow related to the owner, and this doesnt allow for selecting the best staff. I tend to avoid this place for the following reasons. Poor food quality, dirty environment, and prices out of line for a diner. These people need to call Robert Irvine from the TV show, Restaurant Impossible. I think he might be able to help guide them into how to make their food more appealing, and a new restaurant style and gain a better customer base.

Not at all impressed anymore! Mostly with the service. Our waitress was Jessica. She was extremely slow at everything she did! She was on her phone or hanging out with her boyfriend at the cash register the entire time. She didnt say thank u or your welcome or pretty much anything for that matter. Didnt ask if we wanted refills. Just brought the bill and sat it down. Which by the way I order chkn nachos, no onion or green pepper, the ticket said nachos - no color. Should I be suprised the cook put onion and g pepper on it anyways. I wanted tomatoes and jalapeños. They have color. Not his fault. Just extremely disappointed that she probly thinks she did nothing wrong because society allows and is accepting of this as guest satisfaction. Idiocracy. You need training Jessica . Dont tell me youve got years of experience serving either. I call bs.

I dont know who wrote those other two reviews but I guess they must be resturant owners or a owner who paid them to write that review because everytime I eat there its awesome. They get a A+ from the inspectors also so I dont know where this person who wrote these reviews went but it wasnt Colonial Resturant Im sure. Also the girls there are always very nice and congenial and make you feel like youve been going there all your life so to the negative review people I can only say, "Who paid you?"

I used to like eating there but I think it was because I would always go there after drinking. The past 2 times I went there it was disgusting. The first occasion I order a hot roast beef sandwich, the meat was over-cooked and tough. The gravy and mashed potatoes was cold. The second time I order an omelette with sausage gravy a fly landed on my food while I took my first bite, so I send it back and they sent me back the same omelette with new gravy on top of it.

Usually good. I lately have been getting a server that is not attentive as she should be. Not asking if meal is fine ( last one, gyro and waffle fries, was dry and harder than a rock) asking about refill (empty glass for15 min.)Its just order,get food and here is check. She is yakking to others and I figured 2 strikes is enough. I would rather stay and enjoy my meal but last 2 times Id rather sit waiting for my child for 2 hours than pay to be ignored.

I have become a regular at least once every other month I come in and usually get the same thing ooh-doggies minis the jalapeno and man are they really good I do like to try other things on the menu as well but that is my favorite

Great food always!!! The only down home type cafe in the area.I always eat at colonial everytime we come up to visit,its nice seeing the same people every time I visit.Ill be having lunch&dinner there today and in the morning.

Best burgers in the area. Have not been disappointed with anything that I have ordered. If it has "Colonial" in the name, be sure you to bring your appetite. Quality and value cannot be matched.

Asked if they would do delivery and they said yes but after 5pm. When I went place my order the phone kept going straight to voice mail. Would have made other arrangements. Very unprofessional
