THE BEST BUFFET PERIOD... Killer sushi bar, continually freshly made, 15 to 20 varieties of sushi. The Mongolian Grill is most excellent. There are many items to combine: chicken, pork, steak and shrimp; and vegetables from water chestnuts and bean sprouts to broccoli, mushrooms and onions as well as fresh eggs just to highlite a few. 4 sauces to mix in with your Mongolian Grill items, teryaki, mongolian, hot fortune, and hot garlic sauces. There is a large variety of selections on the buffet from king crab, clams, shrimp and mussles to really good American style bar-b-qued ribs, stuffed mushrooms, General Tsos chicken, walnut shrimp, kung pao chicken, you name it they probably have it. There has got to be over 60 items on the buffet alone. Staff are very kind and courteous. Restaurant and bathrooms neat and clean. I like to go straight to the Mongolian Grill after being seated and get a mix going. Its cooked fresh straight-a-way so it takes 5 to 10 minutes. I dont wait, I turn around and walk straight to the sushi bar and select a variety of sushi from the sushi bar where it is continually and freshly made in front of you, (dont forget to snag some wasabi, pink ginger, and soy sauce), and eat that while I am waiting for my Mongolian Grill mix. I hit the main buffat last. There is a quantitative and qualitative reason that The Fortune Buffet is aclaimed as the best in Michigan.

Friends raved about this place, so we finally went. Atmosphere was good, place was quite. We went around 4 - 4:30, so we got seated right away. As for the food, everything was good, with the egg drop soup being the exception. Very bland and flavorless, so much so, I had to add a ton of salt. Everything else I ate was good, the crab salad being my favorite of the evening. All items with meat were prepared right, and nothing was over cooked or chewy. I tried what I thought was pot stickers, but wasnt. They were taistless and hard. The crab rangoon was really good and folded correctly. All in all it was worth the hour drive to get here. On a side note: I see some of you complaining about the service. We had good service, and was treated well. On the other hand, a couple next to us didnt. But in all fairness, she was being totally rude to the server. READ THE SIGNS PEOPLE! When a sign says you will be charged extra for what you take and dont eat, that is what it means. She was complaining about being charged extra for taking home a whole plate, and under her breath she said she was going to write a negative review.

This place has gone down hill, foods was bland, went at 6:30 for dinner, they brought out small amounts of crab legs with a 30 to 40 min wait each time, when I asked if they were bringing out any more, as I has not has any yet, the manager just looked at me amd said eat something else, I then asked the woman who was filling the bar and she shot me a dirty look and didnt say a word she just started pushing the food around with an attitude. I tried one more time with the manager telling him how disappointed I was, and he just looked at me and said $60.00. For $12.50 a person it should have been better, and they need a new manager, They Just take your money and dont care if you ever come back, because there wil be more suckers who will l believe the false good reviews and go there, waste their money on sub par food and really bad service!!!

Went here for the first time and was charged $27 for my 2 bites I took before I went and complained. I stated that I wouldnt pay for my plate because I took 2 bites and had the lady come get my plate. But I would pay for hers because she did eat half of her plate even though she was unsatisfied with it. When we complained and offered to pay for what we felt we owed the cashier argued with us and told us we still needed to pay for the food cause it had to be thrown out. I have never in my life went somewhere and gave them basically a whole plate of food back and had them make me pay. But then again in my 30 years of life ive only had an issue like this one other time. My girlfriend ate some so we were fine with paying that but very unhappy about paying $13 for my 2 bites of cold chicken. Literally.

This gets an excellent rating for the mere fact of options available to the patrons. Want Mongolian or a variety of custom soups cooked while you wait...got it, want Sushi prepared for you as you watch...got that too, like deserts, salads, soups, french fries, or even chicken nuggets...got that one covered too. Heck, you can even partake in a little alcoholic beverage if you so desire. Along with all of the EXTRAS I mentioned above, you get a choice of 7 or 8 buffet tables (each with about 10 to 15 items per table) of authentic and not so authentic dinner/lunch options, without items being duplicated. So to me, Fortune Buffet provides enough options to satisfy pretty much anyone and gets top marks.

If they were the last restaurant on earth I would eat grass first. This is the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. Starting with the food pans in the back sitting out on the shelf and on top of box was not covered up , 2 claws of crab legs broken into pieces only came out every 30 to 40 minutes, any seafood was not being replenished just emptied pans or dried up food in the pans, and to top it off the manager was an @$$hole because he told me I can eat whats up there and he turned back around and left me standing there!!!! WOW Then Miss E. Coli walks out the bathroom and does not wash her hands and go straight to the buffet !!! Can you say NASTY!!! SHUT THEM DOWN!!!!!!

Great selection of food, service is wonderful, staff is quick and polite. Manager is very friendly, always recognizes us even though we dont go nearly as often as we used to as we no longer live in the area. One tip for customers of ANY buffet, not just this one. Go during peak hours. 12-2, or 5-7 if you want the freshest food. When there are only a few customers in the place at 3:45pm, they arent going to be putting out tons and tons of fresh new food every 2 minutes. they would go out of business soon if they did that so all the idiots complaining about the food wasnt fresh, think about the timing of your visit and simple business economics.

Im sorry to say, WARNING, GOT VERY SICK, was eating the sushi and my son likes it also, he came across a really dry piece, I also had a few I felt was dry, he didnt eat it and I did, Ive been paying the price for four days, the usual side effect of expelling from my body but also severe stomach cramps, This was the only thing I really ate beside just normal snacks, Ive been going there for ten years was my favorite place, but now I will have to find another, this place was really good 8-10 years ago but slowly going down hill, believe something changed, the owners now seem very money hungry at the expense of quality and fresh food
