Not impressed with service at this establishment! My Husband and I have been waiting with anticipation. We tried coming in last Friday but it was way to busy, and had a 2 hour wait time. Sooo we decided to wait until the middle of the week. Now here comes the good part! We sat down admiring the beautiful interior, thanks to a pyro, some gasoline, and a good insurance plan. My Husband ordered a Steak, hold the pubic hair, but they made a small mistake that really scared my appetite away. We called the waitress over and explained the situation to her. The Cook came out and refused to take responsibility for the 2 small curley hairs. They decided that 25% off our meal was good enough to pay for our frightened appetites. We boxed up the pube free food and headed home. This will be the last time we visit the Lake Inn. Hopefully this might save someone a good night. Blind Fish here we come!

Lake Inn has been a staple for those in Lapeer for years, but a few years ago, ownership transitioned into new hands and the quality of food went through the roof. Ive never tasted Fish & Chips like this. The quality is amazingly good and its now a place that when I come back to visit family in Michigan, we have to stop at Lake Inn for Fish & Chips. The fish is fresh and lightly battered. Its fried just long enough that its crunchy and the Cod is white and flaky. If you come on a Friday evening, they offer all-you-can-eat for around $10. If youre not a seafood fan, you wont go wrong with the Pizza.

I visited Lake Inn twice this week for dinner and sat on the deck both times. The first visit was also my first time in with a party of 3 and the second time a party of 5. The wait time to be seated was not horrible considering how busy they were both visits. However the wait time for food to come out was ridiculous. Both times we waited nearly an hour for food. So this was super disappointing. I will say on the positive side that the location is very nice and the service was decent. The food in my opinion was just average and the price for the food was reasonable. Hope this helps!

Quaint "locals" restaurant, nice surprise! My wife & I had occasion to be in the Lapeer area while traveling. Being from Florida and seafood lovers, we discovered the Lake Inn while tracking down another establishment. When in Florida, eat grouper, snapper, sea bass. When in Michigan eat whitefish, walleye, blue gill. We found it here, in a lakefront cozy little restaurant. Service is good, atmosphere is local (thats the best), prices good. My only complaint was the rain. If we ever return to the area (we found a great B&B also, Shamrock Farms B&B), we will be back.

This food was awesome. The portion sizes were more than adequate for what they charged. I ordered two things of bread sick for our daily because I thought they would be tiny bread sticks and they were huge. The pizza was awesome. My etudes pulled pork sandwich was so big and overflowing that she are around the sides and didnt even eat the sandwich. We had a great time and the service was excellent we will beer back again when the weather warns up to enjoy the patio and the great views...

LAKE INN has a beautiful view of Lake Nepessing in Lapeer Michigan... This restaurant has many atmospheric touches....large flat screen tvs throughout for the sport fanatic in you....as well as Michigans top bands playing live in the weekends...it also has a woodsy feel with the large game mounted on the walls... During the warmer months going out onto the newly remodeled deck is a refreshing relaxing experience.... THE FOOD AND STAFF ARE THE AREAS FINEST.... THANK YOU LAKE INN

Beautiful on the water. Good food. Dancing on the weekends Update:. Service last two visits, bad. Waitress wanted to keep our credit card until we left, just me and the hubby, out for a few drinks, listen to some music. She said she didnt want to pay for our stuff after we left without paying. Atmosphere not good for dancing. Lights, full on. Bands have been very good, just no one there to dance Wont be back soon, owners take note. Friday night, midnight, empty. Not good.

The Smokehouse BBQ burger is the best burger in town! Beer wall is jaw dropping with 40+ beers tapped and many of them are Craft Beers. Flights of Beers are reasonably priced. Great Live Music Friday and Saturday nights. Great remodel. A very nice touch is the Nowait App they use for smart phones. It lets you know where you are in line, how many parties are in front of you and sends you a text when your table is ready.

Most horrible service in Lapeer..sat at the bar and asked for a menu, was given the menu and the bartender never came back to take my order..she was too busy swapping out her hair barrettes with the other 2 male bartenders behind the bar, needless to say I didnt want her touching my food anyways. Used to frequent Lake Inn all the time, now I will b giving some other establishment my hard earned money.

Just went there today for the first time. Had a greman chocolate cake beer, very good they had 36 additional taps. Bartender was very friendly and nice suggested us beers and kept good conversation. We didnt order any food other than an appetizer. But app was great. Service was great and beer was fantastic. Will be back. Possibly my new favorite. Update: Ted is a great bartender. Always good service.

I have eaten at the Lake Inn many times and would normally give them 4-5 stars. Tonight my husband and I ate there and just about froze. I left my winter coat on the whole time we were there. This happened one other time when I was there. My motto is "three strikes and you are OUT." We will go there again but if it is too cold, I will not go back. We had their pizza. It was good but not great.

Went there on Thursday late afternoon around 4pm. They wouldnt seat the 4 of us outside because they said they had parties coming. So we sat inside and watched them seat small parties throughout the rest of our time there. No large parties came in and we were there over 1 hour. I went there to sit out on their deck not to watch from inside.

Just stopped in for lunch but Ill be back. The view is outstanding. Vickie was very nice to me. The hostess did not offer me a table outside, and there was plenty, so that was disappointing. But, I figured she was trying to be evenhanded with the wait staff so I did not insist. And like I said, Vickie was nice to me. The perch was good.

Waited an hour for our food with 3 kids under 6 today. Not all tables were full. Maye this is how a place like this is expected to operate, but my expectations were different. Ordered a cup of coffee and waited 40 minutes for a refill after I asked for one. This was my first and last experience with this place. Bummer.
