We went here last night for our first time to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary with my mother. We made reservations last Wednesday for 7:00 knowing that they had entertainment starting at 6:30. On our way there last night we received a phone call from them saying that their entertainment had cancelled for the night. When we got there we were greeted and seated. We ordered our drinks and appetizer. Our appetizer was just ok. For dinner my husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, $15. My mom ordered the lake perch, $22. I had the parmesan encrusted whitefish, $24. And also ordered a side order of mac and cheese to go with our dinners,$10. When they brought our dinner I noticed a sour smell from the mac and cheese. I said something to my husband about the sour smell. He took a taste and spit it out. And said it was spoiled. My husbands preceded to take a bite of his burger and blood ran down his chin. It was served raw. Waitress didnt ask how he wanted it cooked. Onion rings were not fresh but frozen. My moms and mine fish dinner were just ok. Not fresh but also frozen. My husband called the waitress over and explained the situation to her. He asked if anything was fresh and she said no that all the meats and fish are frozen. Which my husband already knew because he has been a cook for over 20 years. She kept apologizing and we told her that it wasnt her fault. She did ask if there was anything else she can get for him. But it was to late he had lost his appetite. While she was taking his food away my husband asked her if this happens often and she said yes it has and apologized again. My mom and I ate about half of our dinners. And when the bill came they only charged us for the two fish dinners and it was still $50 plus tip. Just putting this out to help someone else to avoid this situation. HAD TO GIVE 1 STAR TO POST. I WOULD NOT GIVE THAT Good luck

Went out for a new place last night... will never return. For the good, the environment is nice. The nice dining area is some how separate but still in the same room as bar. I was wanting a nice place to eat and I didnt feel like I was just at some bar. Unfortunately that is all that I enjoyed. Service: waitress only refilled my drink well after cup was fully empty, and only did this once! Even though we were clearly disappointed the waitress made no attempt to improve service. Had to finally wait 15 minutes for the check when we were finally finished. Price: very over priced for what it is. Quality: even though I paid $50 for two entrees and a kids meal, my Salmon was WAY over cooked, potatos were "fancy" but bland, and my wife had an over priced steak melt that was not noteworthy. I would go to any Cony Island for better food much better price. Quantity: um... for 3 of us there were basically 3 crackers as the starting bread. Unprofessional: multiple employees were too busy fraternizing with a select group of guests to pay attention to everyone else... One employee even expressed his emotions to these patroons via sign language, and now I have to explain to my daughter how some fingers should not be used to point with. I very much was looking forward to this experience and unfortunately it was horrible.

It started the moment we walked into the restaurant. The restaurant was only 1/2 to 2/3 full and we had called ahead yet they took an inordinate amount of time to get a table ready and had the number in our party wrong. Then we sat for quite awhile with no one waiting on us or even seeming to acknowledge that we existed. I finally had to ask the hostess whether there was a problem and she reluctantly found us a waitress. In no way do we look such that waitstaff would not want to wait on us. So I am still puzzled as to why they were going to ignore us. The food was overpriced for what we got but if it had tasted good, I would not have cared. My food was excessively salty as was my brothers dinner. My wifes was mediocre. Overall a very disappointing experience and I contacted the restaurant but not even the courtesy of a reply. We will not be back and we eat out usually twice or more a week.

The restaurant inside is beautiful. After that the experience went down hill. Ordered a whisky sourand it tasted like chemicals. I asked what kind of sour mix was used and was told "i dont know whatever came out of the gun at the bar." With the size of the bar in here youd think they would make a decent inhouse sour mix. Appetizers were decent. The main Dishes were horrible 3/4th of our table didnt even eat them after taking 2 bites. If that tells you anything. bland and watery were the main complaints. I ordered a sandwhich and receieved a pice of toast topped with over cooked onions and steak.our entire table pointed out that the staff from waitresses to runners looked unhappy, probably because they know the food is not up to par. All together the experience was bad and i feel like i was better off throwing 80$ in the toilet.

I enjoyed River Rock on a previous visit, however, my daughter took me on Mothers Day 2016 for lunch, and they were having a buffet. We had checked their website to make sure there was no Mothers Day event and they showed nothing happening. The waitress told me it was on Face Book. First of all, I do not have Face Book and second of all, my daughter never thought to check Face Book for a restaurant event. It was $27 per person and it was worth $8.99 at most. They were out of fish & meatballs by 1, the mac&cheese and green beans were empty when went up, the red potatoes were almost crunchy - not from over cooking, but from under cooking. When we did go back for mac&cheese it was mediocre and the green beans were cold by the time I sat down. The chocolate fountain was gloppy and cold. So not worth $27.

I really do not understand how this place can stay in business. Every time I drive by there seem to be fewer and fewer cars so maybe it will not be long. I have had better service at McDonalds. The employees here act like they would prefer you just leave. They will only wait on you if you force them to. We should have just left but thought the food might be ok. It wasnt. I would rather eat dog food, it was that bad. It was like they deliberately dumped salt into the food because we asked for some service after sitting at the table for an inordinate amount of time without any employee paying any attention. We are the kind of customer that looks like we will tip well and usually have great service where ever we go. Here they did not care in the least and we left them an appropriate tip.

Sunday afternoon dinner, quick seating, drink order prompt. Didnt see the waitress until end of meal. Pulled pork sandwich must have been microwaved, barely warm on the outside, scalding in the middle. Prime rib sandwich was not even close to prime rib, not much better that frozen steakums on a piece of white bread with cheese melted over it. Half hour from when we sat till appetizer came out. Never refilled drinks. Had to go to the bar to get the check because we didnt see our waitress. Waitress did wish us a good night on the way out. Nice touch.
