I have a hard putting a bad review because typically Sparkies has great food and service. I come here couple times a month for the past year. Last time I visited, and it will be the last time I go there, I did not feel welcome. I went to sit at the bar and the bartender rudely told me "before you even sit down I need to see your ID, you look like you are 12". I am turning 25 this June, so she takes my ID, questions everything on it and kept telling me "there is no way this is you". So I repeat everything on my ID name, DOB, address etc. and she kept saying I was not pronouncing my name correctly? It is my name! I think I know how to pronounce my own name. Eventually she accepts it and proceeds to question my brother and does the same thing. As my brother rambles off his info on the ID she says "dont get cocky, I dont have to serve you if I dont want to". Overall, her rude and unprofessional behavior ruined my night and I will proceed to go to either White Lake Inn and SkyBox Sports Grill where I am not treated like a child.

Went there for lunch ordered the wild shroom burger and mozzarella wedges. Mozzarella wedges came out dripping grease, then came the burger it was so greasy that the bun was mush I told the waitress who asked if I wanted her to bring me another bun for it I said no the burger is overly greasy same thing will happen she said Ill go get the manager I said thank you, the manager came over and asked how everything was I showed her my dripping grease burger and she said do you want another bun I said no I would like a less greasy burger she said you ordered it medium that makes it greasier I said no I always order my burgers medium and they dont come out greasy like this she said oh OK and walked away and did nothing about it except have the waitress bring us the full bill and charged me for something I didnt even eat. VERY VERY POOR MANAGEMENT THIS USE TO BE A FAVORITE RESTAURANT OF OURS BUT NOT ANYMORE TOO BAD ITS SAD THAT THE MANAGEMENT HERE DOESNT HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYMORE. VERY DISAPPOINTED :(

Extremely disappointed. Have ate here since they opened, but tonight went and had some fish that had gone bad. The dish was the ahi tuna, one Ive hand plenty of times there and when I said it wasnt good the owner came out with a terrible attitude, told me I didnt understand it was a sushi grade which is meant to be fishy. I eat sushi and ahi tuna all the time and its never been like that, even the person with me could smell how terrible it was across the table. The owner made me feel terrible and I was apologizing for not liking the dish when he said he would take care of it after walking away and only took off half since I ate the vegetables. Im not the person who goes out and complains for meals for free, Ive been a server for 7 years. I couldnt believe the owner was the one so rude to us. I will not be returning to this restaurant or any of his others ever again.

We have been going here for years, the food is always better than most. They have just remodeled and changed up their menu a little at the same time. I have had some issues with their happy hour specials, though. The food was great, not an issue with those specials, but they have a "house infused spirits cocktail" special, and when I ordered it I told her to ask the bartender how to use the jalapeno infused vodka. The only the way that she suggested was in a Bloody Mary, but the boss man wanted to charge me the full price for a Bloody Mary not the happy hour deal, because there was "juice in it". Dont give your customer an option, to use your special infused spirits in a cocktail at a set price and NOT have a specific suggestion on how to use the spirit without upgrading it to a double the price cocktail.

5:30 the wait has been long... 5:35 its getting darker and darker.... 5:40 everytime i hope they are bringing our food its always someone elses orders.... 5:50 i know my pizza is just sitting there, waiting to be eaten.... 6:00 man im really hungary ... i cant take it anymore, im starving!!!!!!!!! Lol just kidding but yes the wait has been very long (about 45 minutes) the food is probably on its way note that i said "probably" and im still bored, sad and hungary. I will update qhen i get my food. 6:04 the waitress just came and said our fiod is on the way. I can smell it now, im getting happy, and sad because the the review is about done.... 6:05 the food is here and it tasts SOOO good. I will give it a 4 star review. 1 star iff because of the wait. Thanks

We went there after the remodeling job,great improvement! Very fresh and lively. We had a short wait so we went to the bar for a drink. Cosmo and a jack and coke. The glass for the cosmo was half full and the jack and coke was week at best. The table was ready as promised but when she sat down in a short dress it was wet (we found out later that the busser spilled the drink when clearing the table but never wiped it up). We ordered the piedmontese burger and the ghost chicken sandwich. We orderd the burger medium it came out extra well and the chicken came out very dry. The best item we had was the artichoke app. This was not our first time here but it seems since the remodeling things have taken a turn.

The food is great but went there in a Friday, my son and his friend were going to meet me there. I was drinking coffee waiting for them to arrive before I ordered. The waitress came up several times asking when my friends were going to arrive. They text me shortly after and said they were on their way. Once they got there we ordered. It took quite a while before I forgot there. I asked a blonde woman why there was a holdup. I assumed she was the manager she was very rude and said "They are busy back there. It IS Friday after all." We were given the feeling like we were not welcome because we were not wearing trenchcoats and carrying briefcases.

My bride and I were long time Sparkies customers. We liked the Quaint Cozy dinner engagement experience! We were both SCHOCKED after the remodel! Sparkies looks like it was designed by a pipe fitter! It is no longer a quiet place for a good lunch and dinner. It has turned into a Stainless Steel and pipe sports bar! It is so loud everything echoes. Im sorry to say they will be changing clientele from the older wine drinking and dining family types. If you like a loud sports bar with decient food this may be the place for you. It is no longer the place for us! We will miss the old Sparkies.

The interior of the restaurant is all very recently remodeled. The tables no longer feel crowded and outdated. A few extra tvs so anyone in the restaurant can watch the game if they want. All new look inside makes the place feel like a new business. The menu did not change with the remodel. Like before the food is usually pretty good bar food. Along with a good selection of different alcohol to choose from. This restaurant is not a good place to go if you need to be on a phone or computer. Not good Wi-Fi and almost no cell service inside the building.
