My boyfriend and I LOVE Chipotle. We usually stop in at the one in Grandville, but we were much closer to the one on 28th street so we went there last night. I am sorry to say that we had a horrible experience. While no one was actually verbally rude to us, it was just entirely unprofessional and uncomfortable. The man taking our orders kept staring at me. He would literally stop what he was doing and just stare. He almost burnt my tortilla because he left it in there since he spent a full minute staring at me. Then he went and almost put the wrong thing on my burrito for every topping. I said "black beans, please" then he tried putting pinto beans on it, etc. It was so weird. Then the lady that rang everything through for me,l stopped, then deleted it all and rang up her fellow coworker for her food, making me wait. Then she asked me again what I had and rang it back up. This whole process took about five minutes, and others were waiting behind us. When I handed her my card she looked the other way and seriously did not look back at me for nearly thirty seconds. She just stared into space while I waited for her to take my card. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, so of course I wasnt rude. I just thanked her and left when we were finally done with the whole ordeal, but no one smiled, no one thanked me, and it felt off. And the chips were stale, the rice was overcooked, and the chicken was old. Ugh. Take a trip to the Grandville Chipoptle. They will treat you warmly, and your food will be much fresher!

I usually have a really great time at this location, but unfortunately, the last 3 times have been sub-par, at best. My wife and I had a coupon for a free burrito, as well as a coupon for free guac and chips. We completely understand that you cant use more than one coupon during a single transaction, so my wife and I decided that I was going to pay for one and she would pay for the others. The cashier was EXTREMELY rude, telling me that we couldnt do it this way and that we had to be on the same bill because she "already had it in the system and there was no way to delete it." I find that to be completely ridiculous. Horrible customer service. She treated us as if we were children who didnt know how to order food. This cashier needs to learn how to be respectful. Yes, we are upset that we couldnt pay separately, but the worst part was the lack of customer service. Unfortunately, three strikes and youre out. I hate to say it, because I enjoy Chipotle better than other burrito restaurants, but Im not going to be treated so rudely.

Ive eaten at Chipotles all over this great land (okay, maybe just MI, IN, IL, OH) and I have to say this was my best Chipotle experience yet! The food was made well, tasted just as it should, and was made exactly how I wanted. The people making your [insert menu item here] actually listen to what you say, understand what you say, and (heres the best part) then they *do* what you say. Its like a Twilight Zone episode! Maybe I should qualify that last statement... Ive been repeatedly disappointed with the food (the way it was prepped and cooked) and the craftsmanship (the way my burrito/bowl/salad/tacos were made) at the Chipotles near me (Northern subs of Detroit) and was beginning to lose faith in the chain as a whole with whats been in the news lately, but this location SINGLE-HANDEDLY renewed my faith in company and what they are trying to do. Thank you, all, for making my late dinner (oh and it was 30 minutes before close, did I mention that?) a good end to a really great trip.

Food is delicious. My only complaint is that you tend to get chunks of avocado seed and little leaves in the food that are inedible, on occasion. Service is okay. They have a couple of fast and efficient crews, but the rest are slow and inefficient. My biggest problem is that there tends to always be one guy who is cashier. He will ring one person up, then go and talk to other employees, or hell go decide to sweep or just goes in the back and doesnt come back to the register for several minutes, all while the store is super busy. Overall, I love chipotle but if i could change one thing, it would be the stores employees.

This will always be one of my most favorite places to eat! Restaurant quality @ fast food prices and preparation + everything is made fresh~ I worked there for 2 years several years back--and still have always loved the food! I know first hand just how fresh everything is--and the quality of the meat is is some of the best you can get via eating out. I highly highly recommend it to ANYONE! : ) Great great food! I always get the chicken fajita burrito w/ extra rice and mild + corn salsa w/ gauc on the side. By the way -youll never have better guacamole in your life! : ) Blows Qdoba the hell out of the water!

Ive been here soooo many times and still impressed everytime. When I first visited, the manager could tell I was new, she and her coworkers explained to me how the ordering process goes. I got guac, which they gave me free of charge, and also purchased chips & salsa, and a drink. When it was time to ring me up, she said since it was my first visit, my order is on the house. I couldnt believe it. Aside from the food, which is ALWAYS on point, my first Chipotle experience was perfection. Thank you!!!

I love Chipotle and would be happy to give them a 5 star rating but we showed up around noon on new years day and the door was locked with no sign saying closed for the holiday. New years isnt normally a holiday that is closed for retail and restaurants so I was a little surprised. We were just passing through so thought maybe thats normal in that area, and we just werent familiar, but there were several other people that walked up and seemed surprised by the locked door.

This is best Chipolte ever!! Everyone working there has a great big beautiful smile even when they dont know you are looking their way! They clearly enjoy their job , each other and the customers!! We were there a month ago and notice this same experience as we did tonight! This team really goes above and beyond to make a basically fast food restaurant atmosphere amazing! Everyone on the team deserves to be recognized as they are truly how a team works together!!

Although to me Chipotle is a five star this location I generally have problems with. Today the food was cold and two guests complained and they did nothing for them. They left angry with their food behind and no refund. Whenever I order online from this location they start my order when I get there. Its never done by the time I get there. I just hope the Kentwood location is better because so far the 44th St location is the best in West Michigan.

I love Chipotle Ive been a Chipotle customer for about 6 years now. I just got to Grand Rapids and found their Chipotle to be very busy every time I come in. However I noticed the staff doesnt seem so happy. And it seems the chips are better now but my first three times I got like old chips. I like their peppers but it seems like theyre peppers are always really cooked. Maybe Im used to the Chipotle out in Southern California.
