Just leaving this place at 9:15pm on a Saturday. It was not busy, so had somewhat worried thoughts because usually good places are hopping no matter what time it is. My beef chimi was good but small, so make sure you get the full order if you are hungry. Salsa is VERY good at this place. My dining friend ordered chicken Verde enchiladas and the chicken was definitely canned. Very watered down and not good. Our waiter was fine but the young lady with glasses and gray hair who is the cashier, and another server/host were flirting with each other constantly were really annoying and ruined our evening. They were flirting outside when we walked up and then they waited a few moments before coming in to seat us.. I went to the bathroom and when I came out, she literally about ran into me because she was running to jump into his arms!! She needs to be fired. She does not understand the concept of working at all. When we were paying, she took forever to even grab our receipt off of the counter because she was spacey. She then slammed our card down on the counter even though our hand was reached out for it. Didnt say thank you or acknowledge anything about us while paying. Seriously, find a new cashier. She doesnt deserve to have a job when the only reason she shows up for work is to flirt and almost knock over a customer.

I saw the great reviews for El Patio, and after a co-worker recommended it I had to try it for myself. I arrived around 11:45am for lunch, and upon entering I was greeted instantly. Within seconds I was at a table, and before I could even sit down there were chips and salsa on the table. 30 seconds later I was asked for my drink order, and it was brought within 1 minute. The level of activity in this place is amazing. All of the workers are hustling about, ensuring that no one has an empty glass or runs out of chips or salsa. Once finished, the bill was on the table as the plates were taken away. My table was bussed and cleaned before I even completed paying my bill at the front register! On top of all this, the food I ordered was very good! Sure it was only a taco, burrito, and beans, but the portion was great and the cost was minimal. The salsa was hot (spicy) and even though my mouth seemed to be constantly on fire, I couldnt stop eating it. Then as I was leaving, I noticed around a dozen people standing outside. Turns out they were waiting for tables to open up! Great place for lunch, for sure!

Terrible experience. I came to the resturant the dayafter thanks giving in a party of 2, the place was empty, there were more waitresses than customers for dinner time. They brought salasa and chips, while we eating we found a meat of some type that looks like been there for a while, i am vegetarian for religious reasons i cant eat meat, was pretty disturbed called the nearest waitress and told him that, he smiled and said i dont know then left like if i am telling him a joke , i waited for the waitress who served us, she grabbed it and took it a way with the salsa without even apologing apparently it is normal to find someone else food in urs. I ordered vegie taco salad which hardly had any salad few lettuce pieces & tomato swimming in beans. The overall service is 1 out of 10. The food compare to any other decent meixan resturant is 2. I am a big fan of mexican but this place just not even close to good.

Called in a carry out order at 5:45 and was told 10-15 minutes. I arrived shortly after 6 and paid for the order and even gave a $3 tip on the carry out order. The girl at the counter, rather than look for my order commenced to holding hands and playing kissy face with a waiter. I waited about ten minutes more then asked the girl how much longer because I was short on time and on my lunch break. she said 5 minutes, without even checking. I waited until 6:25 and then said I need a refund because I had to go and she said let me look real quick and... wouldnt you know it...Magically...after 40 minutes my Chimichanga order was ready!! I returned the carry out menu I had intended to bring back to work for my coworkers and left! I have no idea how the food is as I did not get to eat it because my lunch was over by the time I returned to work!

Been here twice now. Wasnt too impressed first time but I always give restaurants a second chance. Second visit was much worse. Hostess and our waiter were out front giggling and flirting with each other when we were walking in. We waited a few minutes for them to come inside and seat us. Chips and salsa were excellent. I ordered chicken enchiladas, and the chicken meat was 100% from a can. It had that tuna smell and tasted like cheap quality canned chicken. GF got beef chimi and liked it. When we went to pay, the same flirty girl ignored us for several minutes before taking my card and running it. She then threw it on the counter and put the receipt down. Never made eye contact once. Definitely not going back to this dump ever again, or recommending it.

Something about the place makes me feel that it secretly wants to be a El Salvadoran restaurant but it decided it would make more money serving Mexican food instead. Overall its good. The chips and salsa are great. Burritos are just so so compared to what they have the potential to be. Taco salads are great. Huevos com chorizo are sub par...not happy with that one but Im certain, given the clientele it is not a popular dish. Do not be the second one in the door at lunch time because youre going to be waiting for a WHILE. Post lunch rush say 1 oclock or 1230 is better.

Very authentic mexican cuisine. From the start the chips and salsa were fresh. We were waited on instantly. ALl of our food came out hot and full of flavor. Everything was delicious and cooked just right. Our service was AMAZING!!! I swear we are 3 different people checking on us, yet we had great dinner conversation among ourselves. Well definitely go back....and whoever the called was on 89x Radio a couple days ago...this is a GREAT CHEAP, DELICIOUS SECRET of Farmington/Novi area! YUM! YUM!!!

ive been here a few times this place is a joke. they may have cheap prices and decent service but its with good reason...nothing is homemade and if it is, its the worst homemade mexican food ive ever had; everything from the sauces and guac to the chips and salsa tastes like it came from a can or a bag. i think they get away with serving this kind of food because of the locale and clientele. im mexican and in all honesty, i would rather eat at qdoba and i dont like that place either.

My husband and I went there for lunch on a Tuesday around 12:30 and had a wonderful experience. The service was very good and very fast. Our chips and salsa were refilled twice and our drinks were always refilled before they ran out. The food was plentiful and very good for the price. We got the lunch fajitas and the helping was more than enough for a lunch, all for $6! Will definitely be frequenting this place more often! Dont judge a book by its cover!
