My Dad is from Clinton and he and I were going to the Michigan Nebraska game in November, so we chose to stay in his hometown at the Clinton inn. The price was right, two nights for $120 on a football weekend -- and it also came with a Sunday brunch discount (6.95$ for a massive spread with carving station and multiple desserts), and its next door to Dans Clinton Tavern, which is an EXCELLENT place to get a few beers. Thats all the good though. Other than that it feels like youre staying in your Victorian grandmothers attic. The rooms are dated and dingy and the shower was small dark and scared me half to death. Its not particularly clean, it just feels massively old and it seems too large to be properly cared for. Its unfortunate, because it is a neat historic property but it wasnt my favorite hotel experience.

My wife convinced me to go to the Clinton Fall Festival. We thought we would try this Inn for lunch....It was a busy day so there was a 29 minute wait...this was understandible..... We were seated at 1:30 ordered our meaks and ice tea. after a 5 minute wait our waiter informed us that they were out of ice tea and they had to make some more. At 2:30 our food was still in never never land. Several tables around us were served and out the door....Our waiter was very apologetic and tried very hard to make amends.....We talked to the manager all she tried to do was tell us how sorry she was....We never did get our food....The verbal exchange occured in the restaurant lobby...at least 4 groups of potential diners left. Shame on you Clinton Inn for a terrible experience....Shame on You..

Staff was nice and the jambalaya was surprisingly good. They chill your drink glasses here too, or maybe it was because I ordered a beer but it was a nice touch. If Im in the area again, I will return. Also, I left my hat there that evening. When I called in the morning, before they were even open, they were happy to return my hat to me. It had been placed on their coat racks by the evening wait staff. Very friendly people

The inn is in downtown Clinton, which isnt saying much since Clinton is such a small town, but it is really close to anything you would need to get to in Clinton. The rooms are very spacious(12 to 15 for ceilings), and the whole building gives off an antique charm. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff was courteous as they checked if in. If definitely stay here again.

We went to the Easter buffet at the Clinton Inn. There was a good variety of foods in all categories, and it was all excellent and fresh. There was ham, roast beef, salmon and chicken for meat choices. Several salads, juices, potato and noodle dishes, green beans, all very good! Beautiful and delicious dessert selections, too. Highly recommend, we would go again.

I live in Clinton. This is the best place to eat in Clinton. Great homemade soups. Best Sunday brunch around. Daily soup and sandwich is a deal. Best restaurants nearby are Evan Street Station in Tecumseh and Macs in Saline. Please note that all three of the restaurants that I mention have an actual "chef".

Sunday Brunch is the Best!.. Dinners have always been good and we enjoyed the nights that they have live dinner music for background. I am surprised at some of the reviews. I guess we all have an off night once and awhile. I would not let that stop you from trying it out.

Attended the Sunday brunch. The food wad very good. Not a big spread but the made to order omelettes make the meal. Nice quiet place for good food and conversation. No rush. Reasonably priced.

This is kind of a hit-or-miss place. Food is generally good quality and a fair price. Service is regularly poor here. If you want good value and service come for the Sunday buffet.

Had Sunday brunch with friends at Clinton Inn. Being in a well maintained historic building gave the inn a unique feeling. The brunch buffet, while small, was fantastic.

Went to Sunday Brunch. It was a very good meal for the price, $11.99. It is all you can eat. They had a salad bar, breakfast items, lunch and wonderful tasting desserts.

Quaint, historic location is biggest draw. Simpler steak and potato dishes are good; more complicated plates are mediocre. Good pasta. Decent prices. Okay overall.

Do not pass up the lobster tots. They are delicious. And you cant go wrong with the chicken and biscuits if you need a pure comfort food.
