Around lunch time I called in to order some of the lunch rolls but was told that since it was a Tuesday, they did not have them. So instead I ordered a Kalbi bento box and some Gyoza. Picked up the order and took it home to eat. First the good: The kalbi was great. Ive lived here a long time and have tried just about every Japanese and Korean place around here, and this was absolutely the best kalbi Ive had in a2. The fried rice that came in the bento was also very good, and also probably the best in town in my opinion. The bento also included some noodles that were pretty good and a single gyoza and orange slice. On the side were a small salad with a ginger-type dressing that I liked, and a miso soup which I found to be just average. The negatives: The gyoza individually were ok by themselves, but they came with a sauce that I found to have an unpleasantly strong saltiness and overpowering flavor that I didnt care for. My biggest critique was that after consuming all the food, I was not full. While I wasnt left hungry either, I could have eaten more. Maybe another portion of that awesome rice and I would have been perfect :). The meal itself was between $18-19. For a lunch pickup order it was a little pricey. In conclusion, the food I found to be very good; some of it exceptional even. But it was a bit expensive, and I could have eaten more. I probably will go back to eat there again at some point.

Weve been here a few times now. I havent gotten to try the interesting sushi rolls, but thats only because we "discovered" the BBQ and now cant eat here without getting it. The BBQ is just... wow... delicious. You get to cook your own food (I know, I know, we go to restaurants so we dont have to cook for ourselves...), and then make little salad wraps with the cooked meat. Even the lettuce is nice! You also get banchan, the little dishes of things like bean paste, broccoli, sprouts, etc. The BBQ for 2 is an epic feast! It also includes soup, salad, and more salad. They also tend to give you free tea here. Seriously, a FEAST. I debated giving Seoul Garden a 5, but ended up going with 4. I wish the BBQ for 2 came with a few more veggies. The service could also be a little better. The prices are, of course, high. That BBQ for 2 costs something like $45 before tax and tip.

I ate here on the advice of a recent immigrant from Korea that was a sushi chef and restaurant owner in Korea for 22years. He said it is as good as you can get for SE Michigan. The staff is excellent and know how to read their customers to adjust their service to please. Weve visited twice and ate bulkogi and then a multi meat/shrimp combination meal. The sides were good. During the second visit we had only two not so good sides, a sweet mushroom and rather subtle cucumber dish. Also on the second visit the green tea was a big downgrade from the first visit. Everything else was great. Please go if you want a good Korean meal. If not used to eating Korean remember to keep an open mind to the service and tastes. You go to an authentic place like this to eat what and how Koreans do.

I walked in with my friend and her daughter. Instantly, we were transported to downtown Seoul. It was clear that management is committed to cleanliness and customer satisfaction. Although some of the staff was a bit hard to understand, they were all patient and quite courteous. We ordered a few appetizers and our meals with our beverages after a few minutes of perusing the menus. That didnt stop them from presenting each course at an appropriate pace to keep us satisfied and interested. Each item was expertly prepared and looked just like the menu, if not better. The smells, sounds, and flavours mingled, hanging on the air and seduced our tongues. More than that, the restrooms were clean. No issues. No complaints. I will be visiting again.

More like 3.5 stars. Rounded down because I wasnt quite feelin the 4. Got the bibimbap for around $8. It has bulgolgi meat in it with mushrooms and tons of veggies over noodles (yeah, I was surprised too--Im used to having it over rice). There was also an egg cooked over medium...just how I like my eggs! The side dishes were good. I enjoyed the fish cake, potatoes and kimchi. They also give you miso soup and rice. Everything was good and I left sufficiently full, but I didnt leave with a "wow, that was great!" feeling. Just O.K. I prefer Arirang for Korean food in Ann Arbor.

Love their BBQ!! It will definitely make you full. Their other dishes are okay, I would prefer their BBQ more. Do come with a group of friends for their BBQ! Besides coming here for their BBQ, I also tried their catering service too. They did pretty well in catering. The manager who is handling the catering is really nice. I let her know my budget and she tried her best to figure something out. In the end, food was enough for everyone and it was really delicious as well. Everyone loves the food!

Sushi was average, I suppose about what you may expect at a Korean restaurant. The bigger disappointment was the gyochan koren friend chicken wings. I have had both Kyochan and Bonchon wings before and expect a decent amount of heat and a nice super crispy wing. Instead I got soggy wings with a sauce that was reminiscent of General Tsos. My wifes.BiBimBop was a better order, and looking around, it looked like the Korean BBQ was decent.

This is a great value for lunch, as you can get a bento or a bibimbap for about $10 and come out feeling satisfied without the remorse of gorging on a burger or other greasy fare. I particularly like the bibimbap for its array of fresh ingredients like lettuce, spinach, and carrot. Much healthier than the bibimbap at Tian Chu, for sure. I really have not had a disappointing meal here, and the service (at lunch, anyway) is excellent.

It has been said that a bad apple can spoil the bunch. Ive mostly had good experiences here, but there is one waitress in particular who is consistently and aggressively rude. All the other staff are fine, so I dont know how they overlook this behavior. Dishes are mostly good, but the bibimbap is subpar. The sushi bar is great. The guy there is really friendly and serves great fish.

I was introduced to this restaurant by my Korean boss and her Korean husband. There are many different menu items, both Korean and Japanese, to try. The nice thing is that they offer vegan-friendly meals that require no special substitutions. The wait staff is friendly and quick, the food is plentiful and delicious, and I always leave there happy I went and eager to return.

For a $16 carry out entree, it should taste good. I was impressed with the #72 spicy shrimp and scallop. The kicker are the chilled sides that balance the heat: a mashed potato salad, marinated cucumbers, mushrooms, and tofu, plus kimchi... the contrasting flavors and textures pound your tongue like a heavy-metal drummer. Great food and portions!
