There is such great potential to be great food, but it just fell flat. Overall the food lacked basic seasoning. We started with the tasting guacamole platter with the house, Thai Rooster and the Tropical. The guacamole is all the same base which lacks salt and needs more (acidity) lime juice, cilantro and tomato, if anyone actually tasted it they would have noticed to. I added the table salt and it greatly improved the dish. The Thai Rooster could be great if there was fresh pineapple instead of the candied dried huge chunks just thrown on the top of the base guac along with the beans and sweetened coconut. If any part of this was fresh and mixed in it could be amazing. The tropical was a bit better with fresh and ripe mango and under ripened papaya but the chunks were huge and just thrown on top with the nuts. Again if the fruit was smaller and everything mixed in the base guac it could have been great. The guacamole was served with house made tortilla chips that were cold and a bit stale, if they had been served warm it would have made all the difference. The hidden gem of menu was the SWEET & SPICY CHICKEN WINGS that were a nice balance of heat and sweet and served hot while the chicken skin still crispy. This is only item I would recommend. Next came the taco’s served on a soft shell and although they are stuffed full I would certainly trade the size for taste. The mole sauce lacked any depth and richness in flavor and overall the carnitas and Asain pork meat were bland and needed salt. The vegetable taco#2 was decent in that all the vegetables were cooked well and when you add salt to the crema sauce it could be a well-rounded dish. The house margarita I would bet only had 1oz of tequila instead of industry standard of 2 oz a drink. On to service, the only item we asked for was extra napkins which after watching our server hang out at the bar for a while I stole one from another table which jogged the memory of our server. Will I be going back? No. I am again reminded why I cook at home.

We very much enjoyed our lunch at Mezcal. I ordered the Burrito with duck confit. The duck was very moist and the filling was good. The burrito was baked with a nice sauce on top. The Spanish style rice was moist and flavorful. My wife had an Avacado Veggie Wrap and was very happy with it. Two slight negatives that keeps this from being 5 stars (Id give it 4.5 if I could), first is that the fries that came with the Veggie Wrap were very lackluster compared to the rest of the food. Using hand cut fries or waffle fries would have more matched with the quality of the meal. Second, you dont get any chips or salsa, something customary (and done at other area restaurants of the type). My guess is that they want people to purchase their "famous guacamole". Neither will keep me away, just things that detracted from a really good meal. Certain to return in the future.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. Started out with drinks, waitress took our order and brought back one of two drinks. Ten minutes past and waitress came back to take food order and I informed her my wife did not get her drink yet, off she went, Ten more minutes past and the waitress came back with my Wife"s drink. Took dinner order, I asked for salsa and chips, waitress said she would right back with them. Fifteen minutes later two other servers brought us our meal. The hostess ended up coming over to check on us if we liked our meal, Which was great by the way. and noticed we never got our salsa and chips. Bad service, good food...

Visited Mezcal on a whim because I needed to grab a quick bite. I had the Fajita with a chicken/steak mix and added black beans, complimented with a classic Margarita Margarita was delicious, no sour mix used, fresh ingredients. Food was good, great portion size, good taste, didnt knock my socks off, though. I sat at the bar and was served by Steven, very friendly and super attentive (makes a darn good drink) Im not from the area, and for a spontaneous decision for dinner Im very satisfied, if Im this way again and need some food Ill be sure to make another visit

We went on a Monday night ordered nachos that had no cheese no chips we asked for a side of chips that were stale ordered the enchiladas which tasted and looked like dog food we asked for it to be taken off the bill. The waitress was rude took 10 minutes to check out us prices were way high for what was offered we gave the waitress a five dollar tip just to get out of there and went to taco bell for food that tasted better than what they offered there was only one other person eating at restaurant at 7 pm the rest were getting drunk at the bar

The interior doesnt have much to offer in regards to a "Mexican Cantina". The wait staff was friendly and service was good. The guacamole was alright, Ive definitely had worse. The specials were definitely scary IE: putting goat cheese in the guac or mocha margaritas. The solution to that was to not order it. I ordered the carnitas shredded pork burrito and it was really lacking flavor. Not one item was bad, but nothing really stands out. Id rather make some guac at home, hammer some tequila, and make a burrito.

I always order the same three soft Tacos. Fish, Duck and Carnitas. Sometimes I like the Fish the best, other times the Duck, others the Carnitas. The guacamole is also incredible but I like the traditional the best. Being born and raised in Texas, I ask myself every time I come here. What is an awesome Mexican place doing in a place like Leominster MA??!!

This is a restaurant weve been to before and always had very good meals and service. And it seems to keep getting better. We tried some different guacamoles this time and they were delicious. Had the chicken enchiladas as well as several tacos. All great. Service was kind, friendly and attentive. Overall a great dining experience

My boyfriend loved it but I hated it. Waay too Americanized. And he hates Mexican food so the fact that he loved it tells you its not real mexican food lol. No chips & salsa for free appetizer. I got enchiladas & instead of traditional rice & beans I got rice pilaf and coleslaw....??? Drinks are good tho, got margaritas.

The worst dining experience of my life I visited the restaurant and rancid water all over the bathroom pipe broken tied with a dirty rag around a leaky pipe. The food was horrendous, and the prices ridiculously high. The restaurant was unsanitary. Health department alert. Never again.

The nachos are not your everyday chips, jalapeño s. They are the works! WHAT A TASTE! The steak fajitas are REAL tender large pieces of qualiy steak, with peppers and a delicious marinade. Fast became my restaurant of choice for Southwest food.

We had a fantastic experience there, the 3 dish guacamole is actually enough for 2 people for lunch & was delicious! The staff was very attentive, but not to the extreme. We will definitely dine there again next time were in town!
