Not being in the mood to cook lunch on a Saturday morning, the wife and I were searching for something delicious to eat. We settled on Indian food but having had sub-par experiences in Waltham with various spots, we decided that expanding our search a bit might yield better results. So we searched on the iPad and came across this place which had numerous beaming reviews. We got into the car and about 25 minutes later we parked in a metered spot and walked into what is a fantastic Indian restaurant. The smell emanating from the buffet are absolutely insane and walking by it to get to our table was torturous. The misses put her purse down, I hung my jacket on the chair and then we rushed over to the buffet which had an extensive selection of dishes. You had your classics like chicken Tikka Masala and Palak Paneer and even samosas. But they also had numerous other dishes including a lamb curry, a couple of fish dishes and another featuring chickpeas known as Chana Masala. Probably a dozen plus savory dishes to pick from. While we were picking their buffet apart they also brought us some garlic naan bread and we chowed as if it had been our first meal in days. We inhaled everything and went back for seconds, thirds and... possibly fourths? The spices, the heat, the proteins, the seasonings, it was all just so damn good. Surprisingly too, everything was still very moist, something that isnt always the case in buffets were the food can sit out for hours. Nope, not here folks. Oh and did I mention that they had an extensive dessert selection as well? They had Gulab Jamun (spongy milky balls soaked in rose scented syrup), Kheer, Mango pudding and various other things. I had both the Gulab Jamun and Kheer and both were a fitting end to a great meal. Considering it was just $10.95 a person, it was an absolute steal and youd be hard pressed to eat such great food for that kind of price... anywhere. Ive been to numerous Indian buffets all over the Boston area and this could easily be the best one Ive been to. We were both very impressed and left very happy (and full). Service was quick, attentive and friendly including the owner who checked up on us a couple of times and also answered a couple of questions we had about to food. The place was clean, nicely decorated and made for a great experience. We cannot wait to return.

Best americanized indian food I have ever put in my mouth. The lamb is heavenly, the chicken has the appropriate texture (in most indian dishes you leave some fat on the chicken) and while its not exactly authentic, with flavors like this, who cares! When you arrive you are greeted by their friendly and informative staff, and once you are seated they will serve you a delicious sampling of something nice their chef cooked up that day. If your unsure of what to order, simply talk to their staff : they will guide you on your journey. The curries, the meats, the drinks, ohh its all so good! Easily my favorite establishment to frequent! I not only would recommend the place, but ask that I can come too!

Best Indian Food, Great service. Open 7 days a week for lunch buffet and dinner. Lunch buffet has plenty of variety to choose. I am ignorant and always claimed to not enjoy Indian food based on what Ive had before (no I cant remember). I went here this past weekend with two friends. It was great. We ordered lamb rogan josh, Chili chicken and Dal makhani. We also ordered naan (bread) and rice. It was all delicious. And a couple of them were spicy, which I really liked. I never find this type of naan, the best naan in near Boston area. If you really want to try Indian food or If you like Indian food this place is for you.

We stopped over on the way to Maine. Food was good but when we walked in, they asked us if we wanted the Buffet and after we got our first plate they said they were closing the buffet in 5 minutes and to get what we can. I feel that they should have let us know that the buffet was closing soon, we wouldve opted to order off the menu. We later saw the sign on the window where it said the buffet closes at 3 but when youre from out of town and stopping for a bite to eat youre not really looking at everything in the window. Th food itself was ok, but due the low quality of service I wouldnt recommend.

food is great but service is lacking. I ordered out because i was working and didnt want to leave. I Ordered delivery and it did not come with any utensils. I am right down the street so i called and told them that I couldnt eat my food as It did not come with utensils. I called them up, I told them I had a problem, they asked who I was, they confirmed my order ( so they new I was right down the street) They told me I did not request Utensils that is why I did not receive them. They did not offer to send me Utensils. SO now I have to leave work, the thing I just spent $25 to avoid doing.

Tried alot of Indian Restaurants and this is by far the best in Massachusetts. Opened late 2013 and my wife and I go 2-3 month for dinner. The service is always top notch and the food is served fresh and is very flavorful. Great selection on the menu, chicken, lamb and veggie dishes. Garlic Naan is the best Naan ever. The lunch buffet is 7 days a week and is very good and plenty of food to choose from. I highly recommend this place ver any Indian food places in the area.

Lunch buffet here was a solid choice when I visited on a snowy winter day. Everything from the Chicken Tikka Masala to the Naan was excellent. I really liked the thicker consistently of the Tikka Masala, at other Indian places I have occasionally found this dish too watery. I really enjoy a good Indian food buffet and this place hit the mark. I forget exactly how much it was but I want to say it was around $15

I dont know why everyone keeps giving this place such a great review. Ive been here and hot breads and godavari all within Woburn and this place out of all three is by far the blandest. I guess white people review more so that explains it, but Hot Breads and Godavari is soooo much better if you are looking for intense authentic Indian flavors. This is more for the beginners palette.

I have felt for many years that Mela in the South End was the best Indian restaurant in Boston, certainly the best that I had experienced--until I discovered Zaika in Woburn. It is simply outstanding in terms of both quality and value. The food is superb, portion sizes are ample, and prices are quite reasonable. If youre looking for great Indian food, you must try Zaika.

What a charming place! We found it accidentally and am so happy we did. The service was fantastic, the food fresh with the right amount of spice. Some of the best Indian food I have had in Boston. We ordered the samosa, naans, chicken tikka masala and the mutter paneer. Everything was excellent. Definitely check this place out!

Free Parking is available nearby. Except for that I didnt find any great stuff here. Food tastes fine. Buffet has very limited number of items. Nans (Garlic and plain) were good - served hot. Service was fine. Note: I was looking for authentic Indian taste which was not there. Non-Indians may like it.
