FOUND A BIG BLACK HAIR IN MY KORMA!!! I had lunch here on a weekday afternoon. My friend and I were the only customers there. The waitress was slow and inattentive, especially considering we were the only table. I ordered the vegetable korma and immediately spotted a hair in it! YUCK! GROSS! The waitress was nowhere to be found, so I flagged the manager/owner. He didn’t seem to believe me until I fished out the black hair with my spoon. He sent it back to the kitchen and do NOT offer me any discount or even naan on the house. My friend went on the eat his chicken tikka salad, which looked like a salad you might find in a pizza house—topped with croutons and olives, not what we were expecting. Finally my new hair-free korma arrived, but my friend was almost done with his meal—making for an awkward staggered dining experience. As we left the manager muttered “sorry.” I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN. FINDING HAIR IN YOUR FOOD IS UNACCEPTABLE!

I would give a negative rating if I could - Im not surprised to see so many bad reviews about their service here on google reviews and on Yelp. My first and last time to their restaurant. The waiters are grumpy and rude. We ordered Parathas (which were larger than Rotis/Naans). I asked for plates (which were not on the table we were sitting on) and the waiter refused to give us plates because apparently, according to him, Parathas are appetizers and one doesnt need a plate to eat them. We had to explain why we needed plates before he got us with a grumpy face. You cant enjoy the food anymore with the kind of service you get at this restaurant. I dont even remember what the Paratha tasted like after arguing with the guy to give us plates to eat. We got out of there as quickly as possible. Avoid this restaurant!!!!

I went here the night they opened years ago. Its the typical interpretation of Indian food for Americans: not spicy (either aromatics or heat.) Bread cheaper than many places at $4.00. Punjab in Arlington closed but claims theyre reopening soon (8/2017) very similar. Five years ago I stopped eating there except lunch specials or take-out. I had to fight to get what had been a free chutney trio. Now, even though its dime a dozen bottled stuff, you pay for that cute little spinning toy. No thanks. I dont think they understand return business. I think they hate meat eaters. Dan, at Patou Thai next door, is the consummate host. I just dont like Thai. Order Korma, bread, samosas. Avoid tikka masala unless you love catsup. But really thats what tikka masala always is. Chop Suey.

For Indians looking for decent food Indian food, you wont find a worse restaurant in all of Boston. The vegetable tikka masala had broccoli and zucchini and other vegetables which are not even used in Indian cooking. The Biryani was white rice mixed with the same tikka masala, it looked more like Jambalaya!!! You cant even call it fried rice, leave alone biryani. The food is passable for non-Indians trying Indian food for the first time, but for those who know what Indian food is, do not go there. After eating there, I am not even sure the chef is from India, Pakistan or even Bangladesh. The only good thing about this restaurant is the decor and ambience. But where it should really matter - food - it ranks poorly. I will never go there again!

Worst restaurant ever. The owner is such a cheapster and wont like you if you are going with kids. Ask some salt or any single thing they gonna charge you and will say in front of you with no shame even if a person is ready to spend. There are lot of management issues as the owner keeps micro-managing the waiters out there and bothers every single person sitting there. I was just joking around with one waiter asking whats wrong with the owner here, he smiled and says I live with it everyday. I got my answer then and decided will never visit again to this place. This place is a cheapskate.

Weve been going to this restaurant for years. Compared to other Indian restaurants in the area, its better than most. However, the staff is terrible. They seem to treat their customers like Dalits, if youre a regular you get NO acknowledgment or thanks. The Thai restaurant, Patou Thai, down a few doors is wonderful with regulars and treat you nicely. Better for you to spend more money at Patou than Kashish, frankly.

Very bad food. I can see there are not many Indians around Belmont and the native American folk havent had a taste of genuine Indian food. Hence many allot 5 * to this place. However, for someone who is not only Indian and has been to so many wonderful Indian restruants in Boston area and the entire Massachusetts, the food here is just not Indian. Ambience is good, but they really need to work on their food.

The food is delicious and the workers are ready to work with the customer to make the most of their experience. It is a quiet place to enjoy a meal either by yourself and get work done or read, or to share a meal with friends or family. The food is delicious and the beverage list offers a decent amount of variety. If you like Indian food, youll love this place.

Love the setup and look of the restaurant, a great vibe. The food is delicious, the wine options are great and the manager is delightful, always checking in on guests making sure that everything is up to par. A large menu compared to most Indian restaurants I have been to. I would highly recommend whether you are going with one other person or a big group.

Nice spot once, but seedy now. Servings ample but bland. Service poor, non English speaking waiter didnt even try to understand us. Had to point. Carpets appear to be uncleaned for years, bathrooms a mess, kitchen looks disgusting. Such s great location could really use a makeover, better staff.

The food here is always delicious when Im there, especially the peshwari naan. Paneer pakoras will satisfy your cheese/fried food craving, and their rice pudding (kheer badami) is to die for! Nice ambience and the owner is very sweet. Bonus: you can see the tandoori meat and breads being made!

To be very honest Im not very fond of Indian cuisine but a friend took us to this nice little restaurant and the food was surprisingly tasty and not spicy at all. Their bread is amazing! For those who appreciate Indian cuisine this place is a must!

Ridiculous! I ordered Shahi Panner and literally they gave me a tomato paste from the cann with few cubicles of panner on it. It had no taste or feeling of eating shahi paneer. Food is terrible! They are making fool to the customers! A Big One!

Worst place to go. The food is terrible and so do the service is. The whole place is a cheapskate. Ask a simple question they will be showing no shame to get angry on you. I am not giving my money to this place any more.

I am a foodie. I ordered two dishes here. Both werent worth the price listed on the menu. Foodie like me could eat just a half chapati in here. Papad was the best thing on our table. Wont go again.
