Its too bad that CK Shanghai is in Wellesley now instead of Boston. I dont go to Chinese restaurants much (as nothing really matches to what my mom used to cook), but the Lady of the Table has forever recommended this joint. The atmosphere at CK is "clean." Its not a rundown establishment, and it doesnt pretend to be upscale. The waiters were attentive and friendly, and the portion sizes were quite decent. Do the flavors still have a distinctive American style to it? Yes, but not as much as you would find at a Chinese buffet. Are some of the dishes still too oily? Yes, but again, not as much as you would probably find elsewhere.

eating off the menu can be a disappointing experience as C K has some Americanized food that is just good. but when the place is not busy, and C K is in the restaurant, he can make the best food in the Boston area. I always ask him to make something special for me, and, generally, he produces some of the best food in Boston. Try to come on weekdays, and certainly not on a Saturday or a Friday when corners can be cut.

Food is very good, one of the very best around. Only drawback is service, while efficient it was very cold unless you were a regular. Waitress just basically dumped me a booth and had no care if I liked it or not. Wanted to sit a 3 stool bar which was empty but she didnt even pay attention. I would come back for food but most likely take out.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. Favorites are Chicken with mixed vegetables, 3 delight sizzling plate and general chicken. Pam fried dumplings are very good. Fried chicken wings vary widely in quality; sometimes they are good and other times not so good. They also make my favorite Mai Tai around..

I would not quite call this restaurant charming. Yes, it was clean, and relatively modern if thats what you value, but the host was disengaged, and one if the three waiters that served me were incredibly rude. The food was decent (mango chicken) but I was very hungry. Overall, okay but mildly forgettable.

Great Chinese restaurant in Wellesley. Ive been happy with the service and food every time Ive eaten there, and takeout from there has always been tasty. Its not out-of-the-world differentiated from other Chinese restaurants, but good enough that I keep going back.

We went to dim sum. I dont get it. There were hardly any dim sum items. No cha shu buns, no cheung fun, no rice in Lotus leaves, not even congee. Just a bunch of random noodle dishes and some soup dumplings. Do soup dumplings count as dim sum?

Best Chinese kitchen in the western suburbs of Boston. This guy can cook and deserves the business he gets. Always crowded, but worth the wait. Service is also good and professional.

Fairly average American style Chinese with average service. Our dishes were cold and blend and the waiter was nowhere to be found. I am not sure why others rated at 4 stars.
