The restaurant is beautiful - open windows, patio, communal tables, etc. I imagine itd be even more beautiful on a warmer evening. Tip - If someone in your group has a handicap, make sure you request a non-bar/standard table, especially for a large party. In our party of 10, one grandmother uses a cane and another a walker. Turns out theres a bar table that can seat 10. They had to scramble to pull together tables so our grandmothers can sit easily. Dinner was off to a good start until our drink orders came in. I had ordered the Sauvignon Blanc flight (three 2oz glasses) and my fiancé a beer. The server was getting ready to place the drinks down when all of a sudden a waterfall of beer and wine came pouring down on top of me, luckily only on the left side of my body. My fiancé got wet but not as bad. I wasnt upset but more shocked that it happened. I got up to go to the bathroom to dry up. A lady (maybe GM?) told me that I would get reimbursed for dry cleaning. They gave me a slip to fill out in which we thought, this must happen a lot if theres a slip for it! The server was very apologetic. The lady checked up on me when I got out of the bathroom, apologized and reiterated the fact that I was going to get my dry cleaning reimbursed. I was being a good sport about it and joked with them. Accidents happen. Thank goodness for my denim jacket for catching a bulk of it and my skirt that dried up quickly using the hand dryer in the bathroom. My hair smelled but that was okay. I couldnt imagine sitting at dinner soaking wet! The food was standard for Legals. However, the appetizers were good - fried pickles, calamari, cauliflower. Bread was a bit stale. Two out of the three wines were really good. The chocolate mousse parfait was good but would have preferred just the mousse instead of layers of whipped cream. Our server was nice but was slightly overbearing, maybe because of what happened. Tip - My sisters friend who used to work at Legals said they only offer cleaning services as comps. Just a heads up if you ever have anything spilled on you!

Great atmosphere it always seems to be busy so plan ahead FYI if you did not know a restaurant being busy is one of those things you really want in a place you visit. The food is not much different then any other Legals although there are some small menu variances. The server was good but I felt like she should study to the a bit more to better relay whats the dish or drink is all about. The food quality was on par for a mid level restaurant, much better then a Chilis type chain but not as good as Palm or Ruth Chris type chain. I had the grilled Trout with seaweed salad and jasmine rice the trout was grilled perfectly and was finished with a lemon butter anchovy drizzle, the sea weed was a cold salad it has Asian flavors of soy ginger etc. And the rice was simply salted however jasmine rice it very fragment which give it all its taste which is what you want in a rice like that. All in all I would go back again and would suggest to family friends and even yourself!

I had taken a dear friend of mine from out of town to legal o the mystic. waiting time was very long 30 plus minutes and there were plenty of seats. i ordered a cup of tea i had to send back 3 times for a clean cup. Seriously, 50 min later the food came horrible salty and dry seafood platter. 30.00 waisted should seafood biscuit dry $25.00 seafood chowder cold. fried pickles must have been left overs so dry. well needles to say 75.00. later not visiting them again. My opinion. thank you.

Legal offers a consistently good meal. They are great for gluten free options. They provide a gluten free version of the rolls that are quite tasty and they even offer gluten free options for their fried foods as well which is typically hard to come by. The kids love their popcorn shrimp. I also enjoy the menu at this location which is a bit lighter than the menus that they offer in some of other locations.

Everything was wonderful and above the expected eating, hygiene, service and diversity of varieties and there is a girl beautiful brunette do not know her name was very polite and smiling surprised why the number of points is not a five-five and frankly I advise everyone try this restaurant, especially sitting outside

Even though the weather was nice, that doesnt mean keep the doors open with the AC on, means the food gets cold extra easily. I was not happy with my cold caserole, (comes in a hot dish to) unhappy with the over cooked tuna when specifically asked for medium rare. A lot of staff, but the food still took forever.

I was here for the leap day lobster special. 2 lobsters for the price of 1. What a great special!! As always they are the best when it comes to seafood in the Boston area. Great service, wonderful staff and such a nice restaurant.

Food was very good. The server lady was very courteous and attentive. The Portuguese stew was very good and the appetizers were fulfilling. Location is very nice for a nice stroll after the meal. I recommend the place.

I ordered the grilled shrimp for lunch takeout. The five grilled shrimp I received were overcooked and very tough while the broccoli was understeamed. If cooked properly, this food would have been delicious.

It is on the pricier side but the portions are large AND there are low carb options!! If you want filling but light then check it out. If you want cheap, go to the pizza place around the corner.

Not a usual "Legal Sea Foods", but still great place to eat something from the Fish/Ocean/Sea world. Very delicious, no issues with sitting places, and great location. Highly recommended!

The bourbon mule is perfect! The fish in a bag is flavorful & delicious. The fire grilled salmon is also very good. I love the mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach.
