I got married here 27 years ago and it doesnt seem theyve done much to the place since. The spot is wonderful and charming. However, the value mid-week, mid-winter is poor. they did upgrade us one notch, but as the place was empty that was a no brainer for them. The room is nice enough for an old hotel, the bed was very nice (but no down pillows) but the breakfast was not worth the effort, neither theirs nor mine. In the summer give it a try if you like that sort of thing. In the winter, youre better off at the Hampton Inn.

Warm greetings friendly staff. Our room(12×12 no dresser) was small but very clean. Hotel and rooms smelled fresh and was very clean. Beautiful grounds on ocean, rocky shore. Complimentary breakfast was delicious . Comsisted only of the following scrambled eggs, french toast banana forster sausage, potatoes and fresh fruit. No maid service second day so beds were unmade. Newly renovated historical hotel, lots of character and charm.

The view of the coastline is terrific when sitting on the terrace of this restaurant at the Emerson Inn called Pigeon Cove Tavern. The service was great, and the server who was from Greece actually spoke Hindi and wants to travel to India after she saves up some money. Food is variable, was good the last time we were here when the chef was different and has since left. The food this time was OK but not great.

We liked this hotel. Its under New Management and needs some time to get up to speed... The breakfast was pretty awful, as inn breakfasts go. Stale bread and sour fruit. The new owner came and said hello to us, so that was nice. Id give them another year or two! The view is spectacular...

We went there in September, 2016, which offers the perfect weather in New England, and found the inn delightful - wonderful soothing colors, fabulous food and wine in the dining roon, friendly personnel, and just a lovely experience. I would recommend it highly!

Upon arriving for breakfast we were created by pleasant smiled and warm good mornings. The breakfast itself was average. It totaled 40$ for two to eat which I felt was overpriced for what was received.

We got a warm welcome at Emerson Inn. Although we arrived very early a room was already preparred. We got some advice about places to visit and where to eat. The room was clean and the staff friendly.

Overall wonderful experience at the Emerson Inn. The breakfast was delicious (blueberry pancakes with lemon mascarpone, granola, eggs, bacon) and our room had a beautiful view.
