My family and I are from New York and took a road trip to Massachusetts for my sons birthday. We stayed at the holiday inn in Taunton and asked a couple for local places to eat. The couple suggested we try two jerks and another place and we are so happy that we decided on two jerks! Im not a HUGE BBQ fan but love southern comfort food. We started off with the wings, the dry rub is phenomenal. The chicken is tender and you still get a crunch! We also had the tater tots! Wow! Is all I can say. Just with that we were full but we came to eat! My husband ordered the brisket and pulled pork with sides of potato salad and Mac and cheese. If youre not a big eater, dont order this! We had so much food, all delicious of course! The potato salad had a nice kick with the paprika and scallions. The Mac and cheese was the perfect consistency! I ordered the country fried chicken and again so much food but so delicious! Expect to leave with leftovers. The chicken was moist on the inside and perfectly golden brown in the outside. The mashed potatoes were creamy with small chunks of potato, just the way I love it. The gravy was so delicious that I used it for my potatoes and not the chicken and lastly the collard greens were amazing with the perfect hint of bacon. I am so sad that we live in New York and not closer to two jerks! We will forever tell everyone visiting Massachusetts to stop at two jerks for the most amazing southern food you will ever have! Thanks! p.s. We even bought a mini cooler to take our left overs home and it was so worth it!

I always try to give 2 Jerks a chance because my husband likes it, but I have not had a good experience other than the oysters here. I recently had the Jack and Coke steak tips with mac and cheese and this green bean/arugula salad. The green bean was good, but holy hell there was too much salt in the salad. My meat and mac and cheese tasted terrible because all I could taste was salt. And on top of this, I ended up getting hypertension and a headache from all the sodium. My server told me sometimes they overdo the salt because they add it in after but still. I wish this could have been a per request or just allow the customers to add it in his or herself. So 55 dollars spent and I couldnt touch my food (ate one steak tip and a few forkful of mac). Im slightly traumatized so I dont think Im going to be back anytime this year, or indefinitely.

My son decided to order the "Whole Pit" as take out, so I do not have to cook. When he was driving to pick up the food, he received a call that they were out of Brisket. When he arrived, he was told that they were out of pull pork. When he came home with the order, they forgot to include th mashed potatoes or the utensil/ napkins. No corn bread. We got 2 slices of white bread instead. I called and spoke to Chris, one of the owner, and was told that he will send him a gift card. I called after a week and was told that it was just sent. Its been 3 weeks now and still no gift card. We are all very disappointed at the customer service... I sure hope they do not treat their own mother like this.

Ive been for Bbq down south. The BBQ at 2 Jerks is pretty good if you are using southern BBQ as a measure. Id give it a solid three and a half stars. Particularly the dry rub ribs. Some of the sides are great. Some are meh. The Brussels sprouts are awesome-crispy with big chunks of ham. Potato salad is solid. The corn with jalapeno butter was spicy, but, needed either more butter or maybe some salt. I wasnt a fan of the bacon, not crispy enough for my taste. The corn bread was not the best, but far from the worst. Whole kernels, sweet. All in all, I like 2 Jerks and when Im in the mood for dry rub ribs, this is my go to local place.

the food is good, when they give you your moneys worth... first time I ordered out, I got a 2 meat platter... it had 5 thick slices of brisket and spicy sausage... the next time I ordered it had 3 slices, and today it only had 2 slices (ordered again today to give them one final chance, and this time two slices "cut in half" to make seem like its more)... anyways, you never know who your customers are, and since I work in the industrial park where there are multiple business, I cannot recommend them to anyone in the industrial park, due to the shrinkage in portion sizes for the amount of money they charge... sorry to disappoint you

I had to review this place...it is probably the best restaurant in Taunton. The gumbo is amazing, the brisket is awesome...they have incredible appetizers like tots and gravy (tater tots in a gravy sauce with cheese), and a plate of bacon (an entire plate of honey drizzled bacon). Specials are awesome...there is always something great on the menu. The atmosphere is clean, fun and the blues music makes it feel like the south. If you havent tried it...get there today. My favorite restaurant by far!!!!!!!

Had the pulled pork brisket combo with two sides mac n cheese and collard greens..the brisket was dry and flavorless the pulled pork tasted like paper the mac n cheese was not tasty wich was strange because how do you ruin mac n cheese? the collard greens were delicious suprisingly perfectly made. The free cornbread was sweet and cake like and i dont recommend any of the drinks unless it is soda or beer my wife hated the food my kids hated the food but the service was great.

Good authenic BBQ. I had the brisket and ribs with corn bread slaw and baked beans. The corn bread slaw had a interesting texture, not my taste. The meat was plentiful and well cooked and dressed. Very high level meat. Staff/Owner was extremely knowledgable about menu and you can tell they really take great care to in consideration for what gets on the menu. Price was a little high but dining in along the beautiful bar makes it worth it. Ill be back. Yum Yum.

Some of the best bbq I have ever tasted. Started off with the plate of candied bacon which was amazing. The brisket was tender, juicy and flavorful. Pulled pork and ribs were smoked to perfection. Collard greens and mac n cheese were addictive. Finished it off with the fried Oreos which should be illegal. Portions were plentiful, prices were very reasonable especially for the quality of the food and the service was top notch. I cant wait to go back!

My wife enjoyed the special for the evening (dirty rice w/ shrimp and lobster), she LOVED it. I had the ribs and brisket combo w/ mac & cheese and collard greens. The BBQ was good, the dry rub they use is not overpowering, and of the 3 sauces at the table, my favorite was the traditional. The place was very clean, the staff very welcoming and pleasant, they have an excellent staff. Our waitress Amy was Fantastic. Do eat here!!
