unfortunately has say bad about it.... Bread (Naan) - they dont know how to bake well done naan.... I asked for well done and sill was not baked properly... (if you want have best naan in this area - try "fish tail"). Veg samosa - had just plain mashed potatoes with some red chili powder - perhaps they have forget what else they could add other than that in samosa...they could add peas or 10 % mashed vegetables.... Veg pakora - pathetic - just basin nothing else... I was searching what else they have added & hardly could find small piece of onion.... forget.... Service - :( ... One guy was polite but other two (a lady & a gentleman) with whom I interacted - I could not find smile on face or curtsy for the customer.... mostly they were like machines (robots).... Previous experience - A year+ back I had dinner at same place... and malai kofta was so hard (as they did not warm it well after getting it from freezer) that I had to complaint about same.... but they did not even offer to replace the dish..... after that I stopped visiting the place.... I thought to visit it again for a change, but seems people working there are not interested in their job and just fulfilling 8 (or X) hours duty.... Bottom line - I wont encourage you to visit..... still you want to go... then dont go with high hopes, that way you wont be disappointed..... Of course - there buffet is not worth what they are charging for.....

I chose to go to this restaurant because of its proximity and the good reviews I have seen. However, when my friends and I arrived at this restaurant we were unimpressed. The place was pretty nice looking I suppose, but with very little parking outside. The waiters did not seem to have much interest in being friendly or attentive either, even though the place was nearly empty when we went. The food arrived fairly quickly but was fairly disappointing. The garlic nan bread was overly garlic-y and unpleasantly soggy. The mango lassi was tasty but way too watery. The rest of the food we ordered was somewhat bland and not nearly as spicy as we ordered. The waiters never asked how our meal was, and I think I know why- because they probably know how bad their food is and dont want a reminder. Im not saying it was terrible. But for $12 an entree, would would expect food that tasted good, not just so-so.

Punjab has always been a favorite spot of mine. The food is always outstanding. My favorites are the Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Lamb Tikka Masala. Both dishes are oddly addictive. They are creamy, but have a tomatoey (real word?) and spicey taste. The taste is just delicious, especially when combined with the rice or their naan (plain naan is great!). I went there tonight (drove 30 min to go here as a treat to myself and my gf) for a take-out. I told the lady at the bar (where I was picking up the food) how much I love Punjab, and how it is my favorite restaurant in the southshore. After paying for the food, she pulled out a dessert (Kheer, rice pudding) and gave it to us - for free. This was so nice of her. This only reiterated for me how awesome this place is. This is by far my favorite Indian food in Massachusetts.

I think Punjab Cafe is the best Indian food Ive ever had. I highly recommend this place. The Dinner for Two (vegetarian or meat) on the menu is a good deal and I love their kheer (rice pudding). Other favorites are the baingan bhartha (eggplant), saag paneer (spinach with cheese), and the peshwari naan (coconut & golden raisins). Getting in/out of the parking can be a little hairy on this main road, but I think you can safely park in the Goodwill lot next door at night if there isnt a space right in front.

The Punjab not only serves the best Indian fare in Quincy, but also stacks up against and surpasses most, if not all, Indian restaurants in or around Boston for consistently savory dishes, the best Peshwari Narn Ive encountered anywhere in the Hub or the South and North Shores, and an attentive but unobtrusive waitstaff. All in all, this restaurant is not only a cant miss for lovers of Indian food, bit also a "never-misses" in terms of quality and consistency.

The food is truly the best Indian food anywhere around here, even compared to Boston and try the Chair tea! Way better than Starbucks!!!!! Update 12/14/15 BTW, a reviewer, and I use that term loosely, said the owner was trying to pick a fight. That person is a complete liar people. The owner is one of the nicest most generous persons I have met. If you think there is better tasting Indian food to be found then please, name the restaurant. You are insane.

Tasty food, kid friendly, $$ Not very expensive. Had accommodating staff who were understanding for demands made to alter some foods not to our satisfaction. The place is not very crowded. We went on a Wednesday evening with our noisy 3 year old. Both staff and guests were not complaining. You are brought a machine in the end where you are asked to pick a tip 10/15/20%. So there. Enjoy.

Ehh. I didnt think the food was that spectacular.. Maybe its just my high expectations, thinking it would taste like home, or maybe people that eat here havent eaten a real home cooked authentic meal. Either way I was unimpressed by the food, the Chai, and the price(i mean they actually charge for roti). The upside is the staff is super friendly and attentive.

I ordered Curry Chicken. The curry sauce was light, off colored and lumpy and the rice was sticky. The server stood there staring at me and continuously filling my glass with warm tap water. The doors were wide open to let in outside air and common houseflies were nipping at my legs. It was hot enough for me to be wearing shorts. Ever hear of air conditioning?

Not sure why there is even a star for this restaurant. (1) Partially boiled basmati rice, (2) Potato mutter with 90% "half-boiled" potato, 5% mutter and 5% gravy to fill the bowl-pathetic in taste (3) Onion and garlic naan felt like reheated "expired Haldirams" frozen items, and (4) "Zero" hospitatily. Wish i could get a full refund.

Pathetic food. Shame to be called Punjab Café...bring any Punjabi here and he/she will die out of shame! Cmon folks, your quality has degraded since last 4 years,,.,whats going on? Chicken Tikka is more bland than boiled Chicken..Papads are soggy and Dal tadka is a disgrace! Please change your cook for gods sake!

The weekend buffet brings us back week after week. The servers are very solicitous and kind. And the times that weve missed the buffet hours and brought food home, therefore asking for more personalized, spicy food, it was an absolute delight. We like them so much we had them cater our rehearsel dinner!

I went to this place with lots of hope as I heard a lot of good things about this place. I ordered chicken curry and the chicken was not fresh and it was giving boiled potato taste. Two of my friends who had veggi items also complained about the taste of the food. Overall a "NOT AGAIN" visit for me.

I have tried a few different Indian places and every time I wish I had gone to Punjab. Punjab is a little on the pricer side, but its worth it. Their masala is delicious and theyre very accommodating if you need any modifications. The staff is very nice too, Id recommend anyone give it a go!
