This restaurant has the best service I have received in Nantucket and perhaps that I have ever received all over the world. The staff sought and succeeded in connecting and creating meaning in the experience for each member of my family. Our pleasant server with the European accent was simply incredible. You quite nearly felt an old friend was having you over for a fine meal. She treated us all with the deepest respect and kindness. Blown away. The food was very well prepared and presented. The veal was out of the park and the swordfish was great. Calamari appetizer was nice with some mixed field greens, petite tomatoes, and fun pickled peppers. My daughter began to get quite disruptive to other diners toward the end and so I took her out to the parking area. The incredibly warm and soulful hostess brought me a small bit of bread so that my daughter and I could feed a little wayward duck there together. It turned a somewhat stressful moment into a meaningful moment of bonding between a father and a little girl. Her eyes were filled with delight. This was but one of the many moments where several members of the staff elevated the experience to a level that far exceeded any expectations we may have had. Thank you for injecting kindness and caring into our day! Congratulations, Island Kitchen. For service and human connection, you are far and away the best in class.

Ive been to this restaurant a few times and I thought it was decent. I mean, youre on an island so if a restaurant says $9 for oatmeal, 8 for two pancakes you grin and bare it, right? Went here today, was seated and forgotten about. Left after ten minutes of not even a waitstaff taking our drink orders. This place gets a lot of praise, but coming from the Cape, this place price wise, food wise, and service wise is a solid two stars.

I live on Nantucket year round; Island Kitchen is in my top 5 restaurants on island. Every time I come I order something different because the menu has such great variety, I have yet to be disappointed with any dish. Reasonably priced (Nantucket Standard), fresh ingredients, good portion sizes for a hungry guy, creative combinations. Not just for Breakfast but Dinner and Lunch are musts!

Everytime I go to Island Kitchen I leave full and happy. The waitstaff is professional and fast moving during their busy breakfast rush. My favorite breakfast choice is the panko encrusted eggs benedict. I also like the chorizo/focaccia dish, the watermelon/feta/mint salad and their "standard" breakfast sandwich is huge! Great value for exceptional food and service.

I think this is my favorite restaurant on the island. The service was super friendly, the food was fantastic, the decor was clean and charming... and even better, the fresh squeezed orange juice was exactly what I wanted after a bike ride from the north side of town. Wish I were staying longer so that I could go again!

Every time I go there I get excellent food and excellent service. I have gone to this location for breakfast and lunch for years and this is BY FAR the best restaurant that has been there. I real gem on the island with great food at a reasonable price.

Wonderful service, great atmosphere. Portions are more than adequate and everything seems prepared fresh. Seasoning was perfect. Enjoyed everything that I had there and my three coworkers who were with me or all thrilled with their breakfast.

We enjoyed an amazing breakfast at island Kitchen. I would highly recommend the heuvos rancheros and the breakfast burrito. They have just completed an addition to their outdoor dining. We were the first ones to sit outdoor expansion.

The worse fish and chips ever served. Fish was the cod tail and very dry. Chef should go to to The Brotherhood and get their recipe. Definitely not returning for lunch.
