Novara is great. The only way to describe the atmosphere is - its where casual meets sophisticated. The food was good, I never knew French fries could taste so good; I vouch for the chicken meatballs as well! For entrees we had chicken broccoli pasta with shrimp added and the swordwish. The pasta did was better... for dessert I recommend the banana bread pudding with vanilla ice cream! I made a reservation last minute and had some special request, which management accommodated! They are the best. My wife and I were celebrating her 28th birthday and it was our first date in a while (we are new parent). Novara was definitely worth the wait!

My friend and I were on our way to Blue Hills Reservation for a hike and decided to grab a bite while we waited for the weather to clear up a bit. I found this place on google and we were craving Italian so we gave it a shot. The woman who greeted us at the host stand was a little off-putting but the restaurant itself is a beautiful space and our server, Stephanie, was great! She was super attentive and friendly. My water glass never went empty and she seemed to always magically appear at the right time. The calamari and salmon piccata were to die for. I would definitely make a stop here again if Im ever in the area!

I just went to this place with my colleague. We sat at the bar and waited for a female at the bar to tend to us. After sitting for a few minutes it became painfully obvious that she was avoiding us. She didnt say hi or even offer us a menu. Sure enough another man sat down a couple of chairs down from us and before he even sat down she had a menu out for him. Ive been to this place a few times. Ive even introduced some of my friends to it. My colleague and I really enjoy the Allagash. I will not spend my hard earned dollars at a place where the servers dont respect me or know what customer service is.

Tried the margarita pizza today. Disappointing for a few reasons. One is that half the pizza had burnt crust and when asking about that, the response was thats how they do it. The middle of the pizza crust was mushy. Each slice of pizza went from the burnt or almost burnt crust to a mushy middle. The pizza was baked too quickly and at too high a heat. The sauce did not taste like fresh san marzanos. The slices of white cheese on top had a plasticy texture and no flavour whatsoever. Two stars because it wasnt horrible pizza and certainly edible.

Very nice atmosphere, had an exceptional waitress Deardra. Enjoyed the food and its presentation. I thought their sauce on the homemade spaghetti was very good, and you know how that can be hit-or-miss at times. We got the burrata for a starter. Too many crunchy elements made it a little difficult to eat, but the flavors were very good. We would definitely return if in the area again.

A absolutely wonderful dinner from beginning to end. The building was tastefully restored top to bottom with no expense spared. Novaras menu and atmosphere appeals to all different ages. We spent over 3 hours here and easily couldve been 5. The chop salad and King crab scampi were amazing. Cant wait to go back. You will not be dissapointed!

Came here for work lunch, standard menu offering, meatballs looked good but I had the sausage pizza which was very tasty. Cool setting: old movie theater, had a movie playing on the wall over the kitchen. Open Kitchen .Very friendly server and good humored, manager stopped by and checked in on us which was pleasant. Not bad overall.

Im not one to leave any reviews, I feel compelled to tell alot of people. This place is absolutely well put together, the menu is perfect and the drink specials are on point. I recommend Novara to any and everyone. I was not expecting such a perfect experience. A diamond in the rough!

Delicious food and romantic, but fun atmosphere. They do pack a lot of people in so depending on where you sit, it is loud and crowded. I love that they show old movies on big screens but they have the charm and cozy colors and bricks/stones like you are in an authentic Italian place!

The atmosphere of this place is amazing. It is a gorgeous restaurant. My only complaint is they dont have much of a dairy free option on the menu, so I end up modifying my meal and asking them to combine things for me instead.

This place was great. We definitely went at an off time, around 4:30/5pm, so there were plenty of tables. Great food, service was excellent. Great outdoor seating. We will be going back!
