ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH THE SERVICE HERE. My friend is a regular customer here. Finally took the time to walk over here. And the chef/cook with the dreads in the big chef hat was SO RUDE! Ive never had anyone treat me this way. He was slapping the table, and really short. I asked him to move the oxtail around so I can see it and loudly, he went "PSHHHH!" Shook his head and mumbled under his breath!!!! Never in my life have I ever been treated that way! I asked him, is there a problem? He ignored me. I asked him again, sir is there a problem? He said no! I dont understand why he has such a bad attitude. Why would you treat a customer like that? Is it because Im not West Indian or black American? Because the customers that were in there seemed like they were being treated JUST FINE. I was so pissed off, I said forget it! I am not eating here! I lost my appetite. Absolutely awful service!! DONT COME HERE!! By the way, I asked my friend if she knew who that man was and shes had two incidents with the same man. She said that shes actually witnessed him going back and forth with the other staff members. He was VERY rude to my friend and my friend requested that someone else serve her. Why is this man still working here? SO RUDE!! It is so unfortunate. Flames has such good food but it sucks that you have such ignorant people working for you. I will be spreading the word to everyone here in the area as well as reaching out to the owner., Jonathan.

OMG!!! im not from Mass but I used to have a boyfriend who lived there. I live in Maryland plus Im very picky about what I eat EXTREMELY!! and let me tell you there is no other Jamaican Resturaunt better than Flames. Ive been to several and none of them compare to this place. The food is always hot and fresh cooked. The staff is very courteous and always polite. The Jerk chicken and cabbage..woooooo weeee that right there..words cannot describe how good it is. I actually got my boyfriend at the time Deke Hill hooked on this as well. I love you flames please bring a resturaunt to Maryland,Jersey,Florida. I have homes in these place that I go to frequently and would love a night with some Jerk Chicken and Cabbage.

The food is good but the service is strugging. I went for the first time probably last week and me my 2 friends and my little brother went there to get something to eat because the other place closed down so i ordered a 2 beef pattys with cheese and cocobread and rice and chicken for all of us. So when i went to the register the guy with the dreads had an attitude and was mumbling under his breath after i told him what i ordered and he told the other employee and the guy with the dreads was just so rude and just getting upset with me for no reason. I wont be going there anymore.

the food is inconsistent. The service is relatively fast. Their oxtail plate is very expensive and come with mainly gristle. The salmon is 9/10 times dry. Their veggies, cabbage in particular is very hard. " try steaming it" Its like "pulling teeth " asking for extra gravy. The med is the same as the large, just more rice added. I wouldnt be surprised if they were serving old batches of rice and meat. Also, their customer service is very poor. Future advice, try " ONLY 1 Jamaican restaurant. WAY BETTER!

As jamaican to say customer service here is horrible - very horrible, I be wanting to tell these ppl a peace of my mind but then i figure theyre not even worth it. never again will i buy from them.. plus i buy 2 cheese patty there and it taste nothing like what a patty should taste like. It taste like something is spoiled or they have it left out for too long. But all in all this place need new management.... TO ONLY ONE I go

the quality of the food here is lacking. jamaican chefs and even at home cooks pride themselves on taste and presentation, which is why i was disappointed in my experience here. the flavor was lacking and the presentation was poor. my food was drenched in a ketchup based sauce and the meat was very overcooked. there are much better places for a more authentic experience.

Amazing West Indian food! Staff are effective, fast and very matter of fact. Did I mention how good the food was! The only thing missing is decent eating space. But that doesnt take away from the overall experience. Especially since this place is designed for people on the go,or preferring to enjoy their food(gasms) in the privacy of their home. Highly recommended!

With exception of one mature gentleman the people who work there are extremely rude one of the older females is by far the worst but if you are stern with her she calms down, the food is good I will admit. I would give them a higher mark if they could tone down their arrogance.

They talk way too much... The line takes forever for absolutely no reason.... People come there on a half hour lunch break because we love the food but the disadvantage is always that they give us no time to actually eat... Too much talking. Specifically at the cashier...

Food wasnt as great as I thought it was going to be. White rice was cooked perfect, bbq chicken was basic and plantains were dry/over cooked and barely sweet. Service was friendly but what kind of sit down restaurant doesnt have a restroom for its customers....

I always go to the one on blue hill ave. But i just so happen to be in mattapan so i stopped in this location. I always order a plate of curry chicken and a plate of stew beef. There was NO flavor in anything...rice was dry and mushy at the same time

Everytime hearing impaired peoples can go to flames and have order any foods what they want. they did not give them a chance so they cannot hear you what to say but they can write them down you guys dont respect hearing impaired peoples.

Flames has great food. Ive never been disappointed no matter what time of day or night Im dining with them. The entire staff has a friendly welcoming attitude and the facility is will kept. I recommend FLAMES to all. ENJOY

Flames has the best breakfast in Boston. My favorite is the Ackee/Saltfish with green bananas. Oh my goodness, if you are pregnant and having cravings...Flames is the best place to go. Keep up the good work Flames :-)
