Prices were average for the area. The pork fried rice (we had regular and subgum) and teriyaki were a little bland (and I kind of missed the bamboo shoots and bean sprouts my favorite restaurant on Cape Cod added to their subgum pork fried rice), but everything else was very good. Overall, probably the best Chinese food in the area. Plus, they deliver (for $1.50 but, due to the tiny seating area and the awkward location of the restaurant, Id rather pay to have them deliver). From reading reviews elsewhere, it seems that most Chinese restaurants have reviews all over the map - some excellent, some terrible, and many middle-of-the-road. I found that Gold Star had a 100% good food rating - thats not to say that they have the "best" food, but rather the most consistently good food. So you should be able trust that youll enjoy what you get and will get a reasonable price for it.

We are MAJOR Chinese Food Fanatics and We came here because we were in the area. I ordered the lobster sauce with white rice. I got pork fried rice and the lobster sauce didnt taste fresh. My husband asked for chicken fingers instead of crab Rangoon but got the crab Rangoon and not the fingers and we paid the substitution charge. The crab Rangoon were good and the service was nice though. The stars I gave are for ONLY on that... But other than that we will not come here again. The best place in Lowell for Chinese Food is Chens Kitchen on Mammoth Rd.

If I could give this place NO stars I would!!! My husband and I just ordered from there and they called and said my card didnt go through and the guy ran it about 5 times with an expiration date that had already past!!! Obviously it would decline then he hangs up on me. 10 minutes later the delivery driver shows up its 11pm he rings our doorbell five times in a row and then proceeds to open my house door and walk in!!! Who just walks into someones home?!!! I will NEVER eat here again!!!

I ordered a letter D one day, started eating when I noticed a dead bug in my rice.. I went up the guy at counter and pointed out the bug and asked for a new plate, he says " oh yeah no problem so I stand there and watch him take the bug out and give me back the plate. I looked at him in disgust, walk up to the trash and threw it away, left. Ill never eat there again.

Do not go here. They are idiots. I ordered food online and they said they never received my order. They were very rude when I called to ask why my order was taking over an hour to deliver. I will tell everyone I know not to go here. If you are a business and have an online service to order food from, make sure it works!!!!

Slowest delivery. They burnt ribs all the time. Chicken wing bloody. Some food not fresh. Before eat try to smell it. At the restaurant they count money, then cook food for you. Come and observe it. Especially I dislike when they touch egg rolls and chicken fingers by dirty hand. Dont feed your kids by this food.

Hello everyone and everybody. To be honest - Gold Star has a lot of changes. Right now this place looks much better and nice. Jimmy change kitchen people. There is no more burnt or overcooked food. Taste Superior and I love this place again. It worth to visit and give second chance)))

worst service EVER. I live like 2 mins from them and they always take over 1:30 to bring me my food. last time took them 3 hours and I just told them to cancel the order. wont ever order from them, its like they dont care.

Best Food, We order almost every day!! If you have not tried the food you must. The Crab Ragoon is Balling and the Chicken fingers are always cooked to profection. The delivery is fast and the foods always hot!!!

i love Chinese Food, and i wasnt pleasant with this restaurant..1.never gave me napkins or utensils. 2. my chicken was hairy and raw. 3. rice didnt have any flavor. NEVER AGAIN. BAD SERVICE

Hidden gem. I used to live right next to it...why did we ever leave? Hands down the best crab rangoons I have ever tasted. The prices are also excellent next to the portions.
