First time visit in quincy,mass..was excited to eat there..go in the door they greet you and give you options wait on yourself with immediate seating with no waitstaff... (ok) or wait for a table that a waitress or waiter will take your order and wait on you..we opted for a waitress/waiter..So they take your phone number and text you when table is available. ..wait time 1 hour 30 mins..gave name and number and the location of restaurant shops around so we walked..kept the phone out so sure not to miss text...hour goes by hour n half goes by 2 hours go by..so we walk back and ck in and they told us they texted 3 times..well we got ZERO text..showed her..WELL they typed number wrong..and back on the list we go..REALLY....not our problem the staff typed it wrong...so we voiced our opinion and we were sat fairly quickly...so the waitress comes and takes our drink order i asked for lemon in my water 2xs...my daughter walked up to the counter and had to ask for it.... All of there burgers/sandwichs did not come with a side...mind you $8 + for burger only..$4 for sides . ....only the childrens items come with a side... So we ordered...got our food which every item comes in a seperate container and there was no room on the table so we placed the container of napkins on the ground..the waitress walked over and told us to pick them up..mind you they are in a tight container. .nothing was going to get on them ..no more than what messy fingers could get in there when reaching for a napkin...so the attitude we got was un called for..so we put the napkin holder on the counter at the bar...the burger size for the money was the size of a mcdonalds .89 burger...and had no taste...the macaroni salad was the driest salad we have ever had..dont order it if you expect mayo on it. .NONE! The waitress in jogging by yelled all good..we wanted refills. ..my son asked for tomato on his sandwich at time of order and we didnt get it..asked for special sauce at time of order didnt get it. ..and the waitress that took order didnt even bring us our food. ..so by the time she did slow down to ask us if we needed anything we had .had enough and asked for our ck...It was loud and the bathrooms were a mess..water and paper towels all over the floor. ...very expensive and not worth the money..i would not recommend this place to any one...there are much better burger joints than Wahlburgers....

Eat More Burgers is excited that our guest blogger, Lindsey (a native Houstonian and current Boston resident), recently visited Wahlburgers near Boston. This is the famed reality-TV restauarant owned by the Wahlbergs - Mark, Donnie, etc. The following is her blog! When my Uncle Scott told me that Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg had a hamburger restaurant, Wahlburgers, in Boston, I knew I had to try it!. Wahlburgers prides themselves on being "The Best Gourmet Boston Burger"; however, to my surprise it was a 40 minute drive outside of the city, in a cute and up-and-coming area called The Hingham Shipyard. Walking towards the restaurant I was excited, not just because of the burger or the possibility of running into one of the Wahlbergs, but because I had high expectations for the place - it must be a great burger if theres an A&E reality show on the restaurant, right? It certainly explained why there was a line out the door. There was a 45 minute wait to sit outside, over an hour to sit inside, and about 30 minutes to order out. And, to make the time go by, an employee played Wahlberg trivia. Luckily, the hour wait was an overestimation and was able to get a table for 2 immediately. After being sat at my table, I had the time to finally take in the atmosphere around me- the chairs as green as the Wahlburgers logo, tables of families of all ages, a full-service bar. Overall, a happy, loud and fun environment to be in. The hardest part of my visit was picking which burger to order, so I thought to go with something classic and easy to compare. I ordered "Our Burger," as stated on their menu "our signature burger, the way we do it, the way we love it." It also happened to be Paul Wahlbergs favorite. When it came out, I wasnt disappointed. I only hoped it tasted just as good as it looked. With the first bite, I could instantly taste the fresh artisan bread, Pauls signature Wahl sauce, and the government cheese. The further I got into the burger, I noticed its non-greasy juiciness, with a perfectly cooked medium-well burger, dill pickles, shredded lettuce (Rustys favorite), tomatoes, and onions. Theres no doubt that Wahlburgers knows how to make a good burger. Even though none of the Wahlbergs have yet to win an Academy award for acting, I would give them all an award for a delicious burger.

I went with my family about a week or so after they originally opened. Place was packed, but the ordering line went fairly quickly. The problem? They have about 10 self seating booths that have no order as far as who should be seated next. We patiently waited for one to open, but found people just coming in were rudely rushing to stake claims to them. 20 minutes after ordering, we finally managed to get in a booth. The food is REALLY over priced. The portions are not as good as the price you pay, even though it is some what tasty. The Sweet Potato tots are nothing mind blowing and while the onion strings were good, they were also nothing new. I ordered the Thanksgiving burger, and the squash spread was not at all what I expected. I imagined the orange home made style you see at the table on thanksgiving. No. It was a yellow slop with no squash flavor. Overall this place is a tourist trap. The Wahlburg name is slapped on the name of the place and I hope you like those brothers because the tout their photos and accomplishments EVERYWHERE in that place. If theyd cut back on the self promotion and doubled the self seating section, this may be a better place to go. But for now, Ill stick to Five Guys.

We are from Colorado and were looking forward to visiting this Wahlburgers location on our summer road trip. It was pretty busy when we arrived and the only disappointment we had was the hostess upon learning we were a party of 6 wanted to seat us at the bar for quick service with young children. We explained that waiting for a table in the dining area was worth the wait since we were from far away and didnt want the quick service. If we had brought all of our children we couldnt have been able to eat there today - there wasnt enough room! The waitress explained that she wouldnt squeeze tables together which makes us question Wahlburgers family-friendliness. Everything else was smooth throughout the remainder of our meal. Once we sat down in an 8-top table, we were offered to take drink and food orders all at once. The food was great (Pauls signature wahl sauce and Yukon gold fries, especially) and our server was fantastic, checking on us routinely. The restrooms could have been kept up a little better, though. Overall, a 4 out of 5 experience & we like to be able to return in the future. P.S. - Put one in Denver ... perhaps Park Meadows!
