We have gone to Beijing House several times. We go there for 2 reasons good food, good service and our kids love to see the fish tank. We drove 45 minutes to come and dine at this restaurant. Our recent visit was scary and horrible. We were seated by a rude owner and very very rude waitress, who did not care for children or parents. Our food was cold and not tasty, Chicken uncooked and was feel rushed. The owner and the waitress wanted us out as fast as we came in. The owner who identified is a Chinese lady did not care as a customer and was very rude to infants. Who said that you people should go to Burger King not my restaurant. This place has become a dump where food is bad, waitress rude and over all a very rude owner who is not happy to have kids in the restaurant. In addition their bar is open and there is no partition to separate from the restaurant. I dont know how they get away with this in a town like Norwell. NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY OR CUSTOMER FREINDLY PLACE. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AND DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO BE A PARTON OF THIS PLACE.

We have been going to Beijing House (BH in our house) for years -- its our familys go-to Chinese food restaurant and is reliably good. We love the veggie spring rolls (really good!), sesame chicken, fried dumplings, egg drop soup and rice -- and the free noodle chips they give you in lieu of bread. Both take-out and sit-down is great -- the restaurant space is really comfortable, especially after the interior redesign a few years back. Nice, larger aquarium with interesting fish up front for the kiddos to watch too. Very highly recommended!!

Traditional "American Chinese" (they even have chow mien on the menu!). Servings are humongous. Lots of okay Chinese food on the cheap. I had the $9.50 lunch special: Steamed Vegetables with Chicken and Shrimp, with steamed rice. The brown miso based sauce came on the side (without asking) and this enabled a very healthy lunch. For wonderful but more pricey Chinese go to Zendo in Hingham Shipyard.

The two ladies at the front register greeted us warmly but it went downhill from there. The buffet food cold, requested our plates of food be warmed up in microwave and was done begrudgingly, our server gave our money back to us because apparently we didnt leave enough of a tip she thought. Buffet service does not require a big tip. I will not return, no longer impressed.

Service is great and the food is excellent! The buffet is fresh albeit small. If you are looking for a Super Buffet, this may not be for you. But if you are looking for fresh and great tasting food in a relaxed atmosphere, go to Beijing House, today!!

The place was ok but the food was awfull. The rice was just white rice with a little bit of soy sauce. The orange chicken was good but the price for what you get is unacceptable. Im not coming back and Im a Chinese food lover.

Got carry-out this evening. Was very poor. 2-sided pan fried noodles were stale like cardboard. Boneless spare ribs way over-cooked. General Tsaos chicken marginal. Wont be back.
