We finally tried this place this Summer and loved it. And we loved it 98% because of the beautiful views of the water. Loved the cheesy palm tree lights and loved looking at the views. It made us feel like we were away on vacation. The first time we came we were hoping to get an app or something to eat with our drinks but the waitress got our drink order and gave us the bill right away that we just ended up going elsewhere for dinner. I got a frozen mixed drink, I forget how much it was, on the more expensive side but typical cocktail price. Second time we came a little later maybe around 7/8 and they had a band playing really loud, so we moved upstairs to the top decks with our beers (this time just ordered and paid at bar downstairs). It was really fun and had that same vacation vibe. I agree with most of the other Yelpers, service is not so friendly. But come here for a drink and enjoy the views. They do have a dress code and no children after a certain time so check their website!

The bouncer that checks IDs told me that I couldnt wear my hat, then mumbled under his breath that its because my "brim was too big" it was an on the field Boston Red Sox cap (same one your favorite player wears on the field). As I proceeded to walk past the bouncer to the bar i counted about 8 people that had hats on, all different kinds, even a few with a "big brim" so I put my hat back on because I thought it was unfair (plus I was having a bad hair day). No less than two minutes later I felt someone staring me down, it was a waitress demanding I take off my hat. I told her that a quarter of the place has hats on to which she said something like "yeah Ill tell them too". If youre going to have a no hat policy either enforce it for everyone or dont have one at all, and dont make up brim clauses because an on the field baseball hat may look too intimidating to you (the brim was bent and everything). I definitely felt judged. Its too bad cause the place was pretty cool...

85 degrees on 4th of July weekend and was asked to leave because I had a tank top on (mind you was much classier than the free Ts from country fest everyone else had on)...they even kicked out the polite 70 something gentleman that showed up 5 min before me. Ive heard this establishment was a joke but thought to myself "how bad could it really be". Its a barge on the water where you can pull your boat up to drink, but god forbid you wear a tank top (or camo shorts, cause youll be asked to leave with those too). So me and my gf ended up at The Cove (no more than 1 mile away) where the atmosphere was 100% better, the food was amazing, the view spectacular, and plenty of tank tops to go around. I read all the reviews of the Tipsy Seagull and looks like they are no stranger to reading horrible things about their establishment. Do yourself a favor and stay away...go right down to The Cove or Jerry Remys and have a great time...

Saturday night went and sat the bar with my wife and 2 friends the flies were unbearable, we were hungry so we ordered food and moved to a table, they said we were not allowed to transfer our tab, so we paid it and gave the bartender a good tip, after a half hr we only got part of our food I asked our new waiter for the rest of our order , the waiter at the table we were now at kept checking for us he was frustrated as well, I asked for a manager and they could not get me one( she was unavailable they said) we never received the rest of our order that we pre paid for after 30 more minutes of waiting we left, still with out the rest of our order, I called 4 times, no one will return my calls or put a manager on the phone, Thanks for ripping me off!!!

Ive gone to the Tispy numerous times nice atmosphere relaxing by the water, great music . But the service is horrible it takes forever to get anyone to wait on you , the drinks are over priced and watered down . I went there recently again and trying to order a drink was like pulling teeth . I was standing at two different bars and the staff ignored me. A bar tender told me she d be with me in a molment then she takes the order of the people after me. I walked out and will never return again! Im soooo discusted !!! Service SUX!!The Cove is much better.all arowith their food, service and drinks

The Tipsy gets five stars for being the only floating barge bar on Narragansett Bay. They have live music on the weekends and serve a good burger - and naturally a good selection of beer. Best time to go and relax is the afternoon on any day its open. Weekend nights is up to an hour wait.

We couldnt get in because my boyfriends sleeveless shirt didnt pass their dress code. At a raucous marina pub, who knew? It wasnt stated on their site when we looked and drive from far away. We ended up at a great brewpub near by.

I love this place its such a unique facility drinking and rocking on the water at the same time what more could you ask for. They do get some trailer park trash visiting but the owner keeps a good handle on it

First time here, view and breeze are great, staff is a little wild but kids. Music Baha Brothers was tremendous as always. Great dockside bar, long and safe transient boat dock, fun crowd. Well do it again

I like this bar. Location,location, location. Food isnt very good but thats not why I go. Nice view at sunset. boats coming and going. More laid back then the cove.

Good food and entertainment! If you get sea sick then the bottom deck is a must! They also need a few more umbrellas for people to escape the heat and sun!

Simple menu, cool idea if you get sea from motion you may have a problem here since it is literally floating on the water. The flat bread pizza was good

Amazing bar tender at dowstairs bar. Tom our waiter upstairs bar was awesome. Great view nice place to relax and hv afew mid afternoon.
