Last night I had the chance to try The Druid for dinner. It was a little tough finding a table. Its first come first serve and you have to arm wrestle for a table. I channeled Stallone and won. Our waiter was SUPER NICE and attentive even though the place was packed to the gills. The first beer I had (steel rail) wasnt that great. My next one (whales tail) was much better. I had one of their specials (lamb tenderloin with scallion mashed potatoes and asparagus). It was AMAZING! The lamb was cooked perfectly and was not dry at all. There was a mint pesto sauce that complimented the lamb. The asparagus was also cooked just right. My friend had a burger with an egg on it. We both give The Druid two thumbs up.

Best Irish Bar in Boston! The Druid has it all: Good beer selection, great food (cooked by an excellent brazilian chef), ONE TV for keeping track of a big game (and it gets turned OFF otherwise--thank god). Its also got a really nice, diverse, and interesting clientele: From construction workers to MIT/Harvard grad students, to software/biotech engineers, to wine sellers, bookstore owners, teachers, playwrights, retired programmers, and other bar owners. Plus, it happens to be the single best place (at the time of writing) to hear or play excellent traditional Irish music.

I came here for some Wednesday night trivia and was not disappointed. If you come into the place knowing it will be pretty small and overly packed then you can have a great time. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails that are not overly priced but are nothing crazy special. I think what makes the place cool is the ambiance and the local crowds that it draws. I havent been to any event here besides trivia but I would definitely recommend. You can always here what the DJ is saying and arent struggling to make out the questions. Staff was fun and attentive.

They have the best "pub" food I have ever had. Its definitely gourmet and its a truly authentic Irish establishment with super friendly staff. They serve both lunch and dinner and bfast/brunch on Sundays. Fish and chips, veggie burger, fish sandwich and all the specials are absolutely fantastic.i dont eat beef but my friends rave about the burger and steak. I love the potato leek soup, scallop salad and seafood chowder. After dinner, it becomes a fun bar for Somerville Cambridge crowd plus lots of out of towners. I highly recommend it.

Ive been to the Druid many times and like it a lot, but on my most recent visit, pretty much everything went wrong. We seated ourselves at a table in the fairly empty pub at dinner time on a Thursday evening, and waited around ten minutes for anyone to come by. The Druid is supposed to have the best Guinness pour in the city, but I guess it doesnt carry over to other beer, as my Sculpin was 1/3 foam. When the burger I ordered medium came out pretty much raw, I decided Ill take a break from the Druid for a while.

this pub has a decent beer selection - especially the druid fluid (9% alc content!). i came here hoping to listen to live music. the musicians were later 45 mins and the place is incredibly tiny without a stage. the musicians (accordion player + acoustic guitar player) play from the end of the table located at the bay windows. and it was pretty noisy to really hear anything. so needless to say, if youre look for live music, this wouldnt be my recommendation.

People who frequent the Druid are artistic technophiles that appreciate an authentically Irish experience. Personally, the small (but stellar) kitchen and friendly bartenders (who remembered my name!) keep me coming back. Highlights: Burgers (veggie -or- meaty, both are delicious), Fries (hand-cut), Fish n Chips, Irish Breakfast, Wednesday-night Trivia, Live DJs.

The Druid is a decent Irish pub. The fish and chips were tasty. The fish breading was more akin to fried chicken breading from what I could tell- but Im not complaining- just making an observation. Also, I was seated at a table and no waiter ever came to serve me, so I think its order at the bar (at least, I had to).

This cozy place is wonderful for grabbing a drink with a friend. Ive only been here once, but the price was right. Its affordable, the bartenders are not stingy, and they are very attentive. The crowd is cool and a welcomed retreat from the college crowd, at least when i visited.

The Druid is a great Irish pub with good food (try the seafood stew or bangers and mash), friendly staff, and a relaxed, neighborhood feel. They have a fun and tough trivia night on Wednesdays and traditional Irish music on Tuesdays (I think also on Saturday).

Great little pub with an authentic old-world feel. Live Irish music! Tuesday from 9pm and Saturday afternoon. Come early if you want a seat and grab some dinner. The place was packed with barely any standing room when the musicians got started.

awesome food and decor. real and authentic feeling. fish and chips are my go to. the service is unbelievable friendly and prompt. the only gripe are the tables being somewhat awkward to get around but the food and drink easily make up for it.

This is the only place that I will leave the house to go out and eat. It comfortable environment, the beer is great and cold. The food coming out of the kitchen is the best. Best calamari around. I prefer the Rib-eye with two eggs on top.

The bar has a great theme to it, kind of like a surreal dream. I really enjoyed it but it was certainly cramped, as we ended up moving our group of 20 down the street to Bukowski Tavern. Really enjoyed our time there though!

This is one of my favorite places to go to. Excellent food and a wonderful atmosphere. This is not a fancy spot but has great food at a reasonable price. This place is always hopping and open throughout the day.

Great Irish pub food, cozy atmosphere that really feels like pubs Ive been to in Ireland -- and most incredibly: friendly staff. They actually smile at you! We love this pub; one of our Boston/Cambridge favorites.

Really a perfect local. Dogs and kids for brunch, interesting people from the neighborhood at night. Food is actually pretty good - dont underestimate the power of their irish breakfast or daily specials

Irish breakfast is the closest thing Ive had to the real thing over here which isnt as easy as it sounds. The homemade brown bread is also another highlight and the staff are great.

Great food, great drinks, exactly what youd hope for in an Irish pub. Live music Tuesdays (and perhaps Saturdays as well?) is a fun addition to a classically-enjoyable spot.

Strangely good food despite a tiny kitchen. Sometimes too loud for conversation, but really homey wooden interior. Open at 11am on Saturdays for brunch, which is pretty good.

Dropped by late at night to check it out, and I really liked it! The bartender was friendly, and the place felt very cozy. They had a great selection of beer too.

Traditional Irish pub with an excellent atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and food is amazing. Lively spot at the weekends with occasional live irish music.

This rating is for atmosphere. While the food and drinks were merely OK, the place had a great vibe. For instance, at one point several patrons began fiddling.
