First, my wife and I both wrote reviews on Yahoo, and apparently 99 R&P paid to have them removed. Also, I am a bit of a foodie, and usually can eat just about anything. At first glance it seemed like an ok restaurant (reminded me of a TGIF), but we got our meal, things changed quick. She ordered a turkey dinner (slices of turkey breast, mashed potatoes and gravy) and I ordered the french dip. My french dip was very fatty and au jous had more salt than the Dead Sea. As soon as she took a bite, the expression was like "WTF!?" I figured it couldnt nearly as bad as mine. But I was truely mistaken. My best description would be a hormel TV dinner (if only that quality..lol). Hopefully our experience was just them having a bad day, but I dont think I would give them another chance.

Poor quality. The honey chicken should not be better than the sirloin tips at a steak house. Ordered medium rare smothered tips for wife and I. I could barely chew through it; had to spit out many pieces. Paid 4.95 extra for the onions, peppers and mushrooms. They were cut way too thin and there wasnt 4.95 worth of them. The french onion soup was delicious. The speed was excellent and the person who rung me up was very professional. Normally, I would have polished off most of the steak, but you really shouldnt swallow steak that you cant chew through. At least my son was happy with the honey chicken. Wont happen again any time soon.

After driving 600+ miles in one day, I met an old friend at the 99 Restaurant on Connell Hwy in Newport RI. Even though we went in at 15 minutes to closing on a Tuesday night, the staff was wonderful, the food was fast and tasty, and we were not made to feel rushed. The friendliest people I have ever met north of the Mason Dixon line.

The food is excellent and the staff is great. If you like the trivia/sports entertainment this is the place. The only drawback is that the wait for your for can can be 30-45 minutes during dinnertime. I order ahead and then show up 15 minutes later and that makes the wait less of a hassle.

In town for a little vacation time. This Place is a Great Family Place to Dine in or Take Out. The server Julie was very good, her customer service skills are on point.. The New Crunchy Pickled Burger with BBQ sauce is Excellent! Great Kids Menu.. Stop in and check it out..

Ordered the lobster tail and stuffed jumbo shrimp. It was more like a crawfish tail and brine shrimp! Menu pics are very deceiving. Waitress was good and the wait time to be seated was only 10 minutes. Overall I was very disappointed.

Good place for no frill eating. Service is always quick and very friendly. Several drink specials and everything from salad and burgers to their summer lobster roll are great. Reminds me of a red robin/ TGI Fridays.

This is a chain restaurant but doesnt disappoint on food value and quality. The kids meals have great choices including broccoli. I love the fish tacos and they make a great Dark n Stormy! Dont hesitate to visit.

Given the location, very near NAVSTA and NUWC, the service is not the quickest at lunch. Food was good and fresh but server was not that attentive. Plenty of parking but not an easy in/easy out kind of place.
