If youre looking for cheap drinks and a jukebox, Sligo is the dark, worn-in, drinking hole in the wall you are looking for. Drinks are incredibly cheap, light beers $3 and vodka sodas are $6. No food, wooden high tops with carved in names written all over and buckhunt and scratch tickets in the back, this places makes you feel like you walked into a cave that can get you buzzed in by 12pm and when you leave its still daylight and you can eat anywhere in Davis Square.

Cheep beer. Nice staff. Clean for a dive. What more could you want? We didnt have cash when we arrived, but still ordered drinks and paid when we left. Not many places let you get away with that. Once my friend came back I thought hed come over and ask us to pay, but he wasnt bothered. Not in an I dont care kind of way, but in I trust them, theyll pay way.

Could this be the friendliest place in Boston? The crowd is very polite considering that its always packed. The prices are right. I forgot my sweater there once, and it was still there the next day. The crowd ranges from yuppie to townie and all points in between.

Cheap/decent beer, great dive atmosphere, wide age-range, decent jukebox(electronic) but it usually smells like a backed-up toilet -- you wont notice it after your first beer ;) Overall an awesome bar to frequent!

Sligos is great. Its a cash bar, and small-- but thats exactly what Im looking for. Theres a jukebox with all of my favorite tunes, too.
