I went for the first time last year and got the pasta primavera which was absolutely amazing. They took it off the menu and offered to make it for me but the kitchen was going to be closing in an hour so they couldnt make it. I am very very disappointed because it was a delicious meal. I called tonight to see if it was a seasonal fish or what and the rude hostess told me it was probably just a one day special. I got it twice last year within 2-3 months apart. I asked if it would be back on he menu soon since it might have been a seasonal item and she said most likely not. I said ok thanks but considering how RUDE she was and not even offering a comparable meal to satisfy me I said ok then unfortunately I wont be back. I am very sad because the one time I dined and and had a take out order the primavera was to die for. I am all set to give business to a place that treats their patrons like I was just treated. Hire better help!

ive been to this place 4 or 5 time. the service is terrible.i usually sit at the bar in front of the kitchen were all the employees are and wait for the bartender. ill watch food constantly be sent back while i wait for a refill of my beer ( which is diffult because the bartender ignores this part of the bar). the fries are soggy and suck. they cant seem to grasp a ruben with the 1000 island dressing on the side... that means not on the sandwich on the side!!!!!!!!!! place is poorly run.. i give it 1 star only because its very clean.. other than that it plain sucks.

Finally got around to trying the Irish Cottage and was very pleased with our dinner. There were 4 of us. Two of us had the Guinness beef stew, which was very good. One had fish and chips which was also very good and I had one of the specials, a pork chop with a sweet glaze on it along with sweet potato fried (YUMMY). Total for the 4 of us was $60. Not bad at all. Place was clean, service was great. We will definately go back.

Perfect Irish pub. For appetizer we had the Irish "chips" meet canadian poutine. Was pretty good. I then had the fish and chips and it was flawless. Huge portion of a whole haddock, and the chips are incredible. On the table was also a Gaelic burger which was fantastic. Service was very quick and friendly. The interior is just a nice place to be in with a typical Irish pub design. Also, clean restrooms, always important.

We just got back from a trip to Ireland, and I can vouch that the Irish breakfast is indeed authentic. It was pretty much exactly what we were served there, right down to the brown bread. Eating there took us right back to... 2 weeks ago when we were across the pond. The Irish omelette was delicious, too. Highly recommend for breakfast, but we havent tried dinner yet.

The food is just OK. Beware that they charge for refills on your soft drinks when you eat lunch or dinner there. We were not informed of this and were surprised to see a $16 charge for diet cokes - for four people! I cant remember the last time I paid for refills on soda - especially since they charged $2 per soda in the first place. We will not eat there again.

Freshly made food, authentic Irish memorabilia straight from Ireland, great beer selection. Today I was lucky, the Irish men came in and played bagpipes. Live irish music on Saturday nights. The servers are all sassy but respectable. This is my absolutely my favorite Irish pub in New england. You need to also try their brunch... its amazing!

Go for the dinner. Skip breakfast. Ive been to the Irish Cottage twice now. First time was for dinner and it was great Irish fare. Went back for breakfast and was horribly disappointed. Hash was bland, poached eggs were overcooked and the service was absolutely terrible. Unfortunate, because I was so excited to return after our first visit.

Best breakfast around. The waitress was delightful and the food fresh big and yummy. Brown bread was a great treat. Waitress and cookstaff were happy to accommodate modifications for a vegetarian. Very clean, including the bathrooms. We will go back again and again.

Excellent Food!!! Horrible New Years! Go else where for a New Years Eve very boring music! People came to eat and leave didnt even care to stay to see the ball drop. Modernize your enertainment and play a variety of music on a special event.

I ordered their clam plate for lunch takeout. I paid about $15, and only got 6 or so clams. Additionally they were wet and soggy, as were the fries, and pretty disgusting. Not impressed in the least, and wont be going back.

Much more of an atmosphere of being in a bar in Ireland than other "Irish" places around. And they actually had Irish music playing! The food wasnt the best Ive had but certainly enjoyable and I would go back.

Always a pleasure. Great food, great staff, and great value. Very authentic. The only problem is you cant get in the place. Im so happy that theyre building a new larger version across the street.

Good service and a great selection of appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. Ive had 3-4 things from the menu over the past few years and have been more than pleased with them all!

A pub for breakfast? Absolutely! Their Traditional Irish Breakfast is huge and authentic. The MIni Irish Breakfast is slightly smaller, Ill be trying that next time.

Food is delicious, though the service can be extremely slow, especially when the place is busy, as it often is. portions are HUGE, so be prepared to bring some home.

We love it here! Great music - cozy and friendly like an off the beaten path Irish pub! The food is always great too! Catch the Foggy Duo when you can for music!

Dont let the location scare you (its practically in a construction zone as of Sept 2016), they have some decent food. Prices are reasonable and the food is good.

Live music on the Saturday I went which made it a most enjoyable experience plus the Irish food was not bad at all - generous portions of hearty fare.

Cold beer, good food and live music. It does get crowded on the weekends and it can be tough to park, but I must like it because I keep coming back.

Good corned beef hash in the AM and a great Reuben Sandwich later on. Help is more than friendly and helpful. Always treated as an old customer.
