Being Korean-American, Im quite a critic when it comes to Korean food, and Boston leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to good Korean food. I ordered takeout today, super easy mobile ordering through Square. They texted me when my order was ready. Upon arrival, I was impressed with the modern awning, although the interior isnt something to write home about (but its as advertised - simple, casual). I was greeted by a typical Korean middle aged woman (ahjuma) who had an apron on - it felt like I had gone to my mothers house for a home cooked meal!! The food itself was pretty tasty. I ordered soondubu jigae - something Im very particular about - and I was pretty impressed, but certainly not the best Ive had; I usually seek a deeper seafood base. The kimchi fried rice was very tasty with a perfectly cooked fried egg on top. The kimbap was very good and fresh. All in all, I really enjoyed the homestyle approach to the food at Kimchi Kitchen and will definitely be eating here again!!!

I ate at Kimchi Kitchen last night. What a delightful restaurant! The woman running it has a very kind demeanor. I and my companion both had vegetarian Bibimbap, which was quite good. I do wish they had more vegetarian options on the menu. Theres one (maybe two?) item suitable for vegetarians. And, of course, the kimchi may not be vegetarian - I wish it were. Ill go back again but with so few vegetarian options it wont be as often as I might otherwise. Oh, and it gets very crowded, which is a good sign for the owners. I wish them many years of good luck with this wonderful eatery!

The decor is pretty sparse, but the food is pretty good. We got there late on Friday after a disappointing experience at another restaurant. The place was crowded, and we waited for a little bit for a group to leave. We ordered some dumplings and two main dishes. I ordered mine extra spicy, which it did not end up being spicy at all. The dumplings were too greasy for me. The staff was extremely nice! They ran out of rice and gave us dessert to make up for the smaller portions. I will definitely go back to kimchi kitchen!

Not awful but disappointed given the reviews. The kimchi was heavy on horseradish flavor but otherwise lacking in taste. The bulgogi was acceptable but unremarkable. The popcorn chicken was vaguely reminiscent of airport / mall food court Chinese. The tea was tragic -- it tasted like boiling tree bark. The service was friendly. Not an awful place to drop by for a quick bite but anyone with expectations should be disappointed.

This place is my favorite local restaurant for a quick lunch or dinner takeout. Their kimchi tastes much fresher than anything you can get at H-mart, and theyll sell you a quart if you ask. I always end up ordering the spicy kimchi jigae, which is great medicine if you have a persistent cold. The side dishes served with the meals are also delightful, providing a good selection of pickled vegetables.

Its nice to see some Korean food in East Cambridge. The flavor is definitely welcomed. Kimchi Kitchen offers takeout options and dine-in. When you arrive you order at the front and then sit down. We both had the bibimbap which was good. Not the best Ive ever had but not bad either for a quick meal like Kimchi Kitchen offers. If I were to eat here again Id probably order out.

Ugh best naengmyeon (cold noodle) Ive had in awhile!! The broth is so tart and flavorful and the egg is well cooked. The noodles arent stuck together and they cut them for you so its easier to eat. Dont be intimidated by this if youve never had it before, its so worth the jump out of your comfort zone!

Small little Korean restaurant with home cooked food. The menu was pretty limited and no dessert currently. We ordered the veggie dumplings which were very yummy. Overall the food was simple but delicious. Place is small so you might have to wait to get a table.

The food was ok and the service wasnt that good. For the prices they charge I feel like either the portion could be bigger or the dish itself higher quality and more flavorful. Something important was missing and I wont go back.

An honest and tasteful Korean ensemble of dishes prepared for the famished or peckish alike not to be disappointed, maybe joining ensueing ques trying the next course. Kalbi is a tad sweet.

Awesome, more home-cooking-style Korean restaurant in the area. Definitely try the popcorn chicken if its available; you also cant go wrong with the jap chae or the bulgogi.

Inexpensive no frills Korean food. Consistency might be an issue as Ive had one of best kimchi fried rice on one day and mediocre one on the other day.

Food is great, but the service has suffered since they renovated. Kimchi fried rice and spicy pork bulgolgi are both excellent.

Great food, comes out hot! If you come at a busy time, might need to wait because space is small and seating limited.
