Clear Flour is close to perfection. (As Mohammed pointed out, only Allah can make perfection.) After decades of searching for fault, the worst I can say is that sometimes some loaves of bread have dough that is too light (some francophiles might say the baguette is not quite chewy enough) and the granola is not so interestingly tasty, lacking in toasted nuts and other touches. Clear Flour teaches us about the seemingly infinite splendor of breads, pastries, and other niceties of life. Their annual posters decorate my kitchen. The memory of their continuing kindness towards people, despite the demanding customers eager after waiting in long line, warms my heart. One of Brooklines, nay the Boston metros, finest assets. For those who crave the perfect croissant or apple tart or pain de compagne or vollkornbrot, you have found heaven.

I really love this place; Id love it even more if I werent low carbing it. Youll find traditional European artisan (read as: bizarre) bread that you just cant find at your local grocery store. Like what the hell is an Epi baguette? It looks like some sort of medieval weapon or something that belongs at Good Vibrations, not a bakery. A really good mix of pastries too. Their macaroons (not macarons you twit) and cookies are to die for. Brioches, monkey bread, a crazy loaves all-round. I do have one problem with Clear Flour: their pretzels stink!! Im sorry but $2.95 for a mid-sized pretzel is unreasonable, not to mention it doesnt taste anything like what youd get in Germany. In Mannheim, I paid 1 Euro for 3 of those pretzels, which tasted way better. Heck, WF has better pretzels.

Perfection. True Artisanship. I smelled the deliciousness from down the street. Everything looks perfect here and Everything I have tried has been absolutely delicious. Some of my favorite treats include the Orange Broiche, the Baked Currant Donut, the Morning Bun with Walnuts. Their breads look like complete perfection. Everything tastes like it comes straight from a French boulangerie/patisserie. I love when I find their breads at other places I frequent, I know whatever I am going to have will be good! Everything looked well made and I cannot wait to return. Everyone that worked here was friendly and patient despite the line.

Why isnt there a Clear Flour on every corner like in Paris?????I have to trek all the way from Brookline Village to get my daily authentic baguette, or Epi, or Paris Night loaf, or "baguette ancienne", or any of those magnificently designed breads that are a centerpiece talking point at any dinner event-- not to mention those luscious sweet treats of chocolate popovers, tartes, scones, etc. Get a local branch opened in the Village soon, please, for us lazy folks who hate fighting traffic and standing on line forever on the far side of Brookline! Merci!

A wonderful, cozy European bakery tucked away on a hidden street in Brookline. The intoxicating smell of baking bread when you first walk in is heavenly. They have the most amazing breads and desserts here. Be sure to grab a half loaf of Pain de Mie (dont do the full loaf unless you are in serious need of bread), morning buns, a chocolate croissant, fruit tart... You cant go wrong getting anything in there. Its all delicious!

Excited to stand in line outside on a Sat afternoon. Ingas expertise and flavor combinations are outstanding. Im eating a pillowy wild orange caraway seed sugar coated pastry. Ive found new hints of flower (elder? rose?) and spice (white peppercorn?) in very bite. Thank you, Inga, Clear Flour Bakery proprietors and the entire staff. Please open a Clear Flour Bakery in Brooklyn before I, hopefully, move back in a few years.

Charming little shop hidden within the neighborhoods of Brookline. It just smells amazing as you walk in. The space is TINY so be sure you arent planning on staying for a while or expecting to have room to turn. BUT-- if the weathers nice and you dont mind indulging in a few pastries-- you can walk to a few nearby parks. It has wonderful charm and delicious baked goods, so its definitely worth a stop.

The bread here is outstanding. Full stop. Service is fast though the wait can be a bit long (cause everyone else wants fantastic bread too). They have the classic French and Italian breads plus an ever changing and always excellent selection of pastries. Croissants are light and fluffy. Their sourdoughs are chewy and tart. Gah! Its all just so good!

Clear flour is one of my favorite bakeries that Ive discovered. The food is amazing, the staff is friendly, and I love walking past it in the morning on my way to the train - the wafting cookie smell is so nice! Such a hidden gem. There are super long lines in the mornings, even on the week days, so definitely stop by in the afternoon or evening.

I was in town visiting a friend and saw this little bakery while on a morning run. What a great find! Everything I got was delicious, and I still think about the almond macaroons constantly (do you ship!?). I went back 2 more times during my trip and would probably still go every day if I wasnt states away.

Clear Flour serves unbelieveable pastries, with some of the best chocolate croissants Ive ever had. They are perfect to bring to a holiday brunch, and their cookies are a welcome addition to any dessert platter. While youre there, be sure to pick up a loaf of one of their many varieties of bread.

Clear Flour Bread Bakery is heaven in a slice of bread. Their sourdough roles and german rye are delightful. The people working their are extremely friendly and knowledgable. Be prepared to wait in line if you come here on a Sunday morning but it is completely 100% worth the wait.

They always have a great selection of bread and pastries. Sometimes its very busy. People will line up before it opens or the line will be out the door. They can sell out of specific things so its better to go early. Its worth the 10min wait when it is busy.

Today 2 women cut a very long line in this bakery, in front of me, my 2 years old son and an older gentleman. I told staff what happened but they were useless and didnt say a word. My wife and I used to spend 50$ in this bakery every week. NOT ANYMORE!

Clear Flour Bakery has the best french bed around and it is very reasonably priced. There are so many different types of baguettes and rolls. Everything is freshly baked each morning. The pastries are also really good but a little expensive.

Best bread in all of New England (no lie). Very reasonably priced, tastes as good as the bread in france. Tons of different options, ranging from traditional to more exotic. Great as a gift or to eat on your own.

Id want Clear Flour bread to be on the menu for my last meal. Simply the best in the Boston area. The baguette, the ancienne baguette, the scones, the sticky buns, the epi, the olive rolls, its all amazing.

This place has never disappointed me once. Never. Everything is just wonderful and way beyond satisfying. I live nearby so I come in a few times a week since there are surprises all the time.
