Lakota Bakery in Arlington deserves accolades for its Lemon Cream Sandwich (so beautifully delicate it get separate wrapping), Chocolate Cream Sandwich, Pecan Shortbread. Others, however, are either good (Mocha Cream Sandwich). acceptable (Chocolate Tuxedo, Walnut Crescent) or achingly sweet (Chocolate Vanilla Sandwich). We havent tried the popular Florentines.

The best cookies! The Florentines are award winning perfection. The chocolate macaroons have a thick, hard, dark chocolate covering a big, sweet, chewy macaroon. I also love the mocha, mocha cream, crescent, and Linzer cookies. And I just discovered a chocolate ginger cookie that I want to go back for for more of!

They make some of the best cookies youll ever eat. The lemon meringues are my favorite. Even walking past when theyre baking is a gustatory experience. Sometimes they have a bowl full of broken cookies out as samples.
