I am very confused by the ratings of this place (although I fear many of you have not actually tasted authentic Mexican Food). I visited on 3/5/17 - a Sunday. The place was packed when we arrived. I do not have a place to compare this too as I have yet to find a decent Mexican Restaurant in MA, but this one was by far the WORST. As I said, the food is NOT MEXICAN, but hey I could still enjoy a dish if it were cooked well. Food is bland, unseasoned, microwaved, canned sauces, etc. No exaggeration. My wife and I were extremely disappointed. I was risky, and ordered one of the harder dishes to execute, the Mole Enchilada. I had to scrape off every remnant of the mole and scarfed the rest down. The chicken (which was dry and had not one other visible ingredient inside) was another dissapointment. My wife got the shrimp tacos. Shrimp tasted old or frozen. Oh yeah, and not one of the four tacos could even be lifted off the plate. The single corn tortilla surrounding each taco was already falling apart, the moment the plate touched our table. Again flavors were bland. NO JOKE. TACO BELL IS BETTER QUALITY. The bartender made my wife and I a margarita that was diluted with a mix, that we specifically asked not to have (our request: Tequilla, Lime, Agave - nothing else). We voiced our concerns with our server who was as accommodating as one could be in such a situation. Even after explaining that the drink was not what we asked, I was appalled that the bartender expected me to believe that what I asked for was what he had made - he straight up lied to the customer. Cmon, I know my Margaritas!!! For our troubles our server gave us a free dessert. The flan was the only thing worth our time (hold the store bought chips, yummy salsas, and the decent guacamole), after we scraped off a raspberry syrup, a chocolate syrup, and a pile of canned syrupy fruit off the top of the Flan. WOW, just WOW. FYI, this is not how a Flan is served. I will never return, and I hope you do not either.

Seems like a pretty popular place! We were told it would be about an hour wait but were seated in about 40 minutes. To fill the wait our party of 4 took up two seats and the space behind them at the bar and enjoyed some delicious margaritas. Once seated we enjoyed chips with various salsas, and then a table side guacamole. Holy guac! We finished it in very short order. I ordered the mole enchiladas, and the rest of our party had cheese enchiladas w/beef on top, veggie enchiladas, and the meat bowl. All came with a side of rice and round tortilla filled with black refried beans. Everything was delicious except my mole enchiladas. Ive had enough mole to feel like this was definitely an odd experience with the sauce tasting more like chocolate syrup than mole. It didnt help that the chicken inside the enchiladas was dried out and stringy. We had places to be and it wasnt terrible enough to complain, so I ate part of it and nibbled off other plates. Overall its a great place with a nice atmosphere and pretty great food. Cant rave enough about the guacamole.

Ive been waiting to come here for months. Finally went for mothers day and I was so happy I did. My waiter he was so amazing and freindly I forgot his name big guy great guy was so welcoming and nice. I dont think I ever had a waiter as sweet as that. The tables two down spilt there water. I know how embarrassing that can be but he made them feel like no big deal and said its ok and got the mop and cleaned up the water no problem or attitude. As for the food was great I ordered California burrito and enjoyed it my husband the qasdilla steak he loved it reminded him of a old resterant in Cambridge we use to go to and now its closed for good. It was nice to find a similar tasting qasdilla. Great amazing place kinda small hope they make it bigger. I will definitely be returning not only for the food but the amazing service. Tge best thing about the service the waiter handed me a flower with the check and said happy mothers day. That was so sweetie made my day.

Bad service & extremely rude hostesses. Im 9 months pregnant and when I came in I received a critical up and down look from the hostess who told me there was a twenty minute wait despite the fact I could see several open tables. 5 minutes later she said a table "opened up" and proceeded to sit me at a table for 6 telling me "you dont mind if we sit others with you do you?". At that time I could see another couple paying their check at a table for 2 and asked if we could just sit there--- another rude look from the hostess as she reluctantly agreed. Needless to say at this point I had enough and walked out. I have not seen rudeness of this caliber. Stay away if you generally enjoy being treated with respect.

An unexpected pleasure. Serving very unique Mexican dishes. The Molcajete was an awesomely presented Dish. Very Friendly and engaging staff. The dining room is small and there is always a wait on weekends, But well worth the Wait. The Dishes were presented beautifully. The Flavors spectacular. We really enjoyed our 1st visit. One of the owners Francisco was running the bar, and running Entrees to tables. He was taking pride in his establishment. We will be back. Update: 11/09/16 everything was perfect again had the same Dinner as last time. Had the Molcajete. See picture. February Valentines day 2017 update Everything great as usual.

From first impressions, although the chops and salsa were homemade, the chips felt kind of flavorless and salsa didnt feel full enough, but since its just the free starter, its a minor point. For the main dish, I got the cochinita pibil, which was a braided pork dish. The rice was very flavorful and the beans served Im the tortilla were excellent. The pork itself was a little dry and not as tender as I wouldve liked though. However the portions were large and overall I enjoyed my meal. I also got a habanero arbol sauce on the side, and although the flavor was decent, I didnt really like the consistency.

I really wanted to like this place, but sadly this Californian was once again disappointed with a Massachusetts Mexican joint. Food was bland, (I had to add salsa to everything to make it somewhat palatable), not fresh, (canned mole sauce that just tasted like high fructose corn syrup and super fishy shrimp... AKA cheap/previously frozen) and the bartender cant follow simple instructions of "no sweet and sour mix". The server was very nice and gave us a free dessert, but I wont be wasting anymore money here.

The Guacamole appetizer is consistently delicious...I get the jalapenos on the side because she doesnt like hots but I do. Drinks too are consistently excellent. If you havent tried the Cucumber Margarita then you owe it to yourself to try it. The traditional eats are really authentically seasoned but I happened to try the "Mexican Burger" and I was totally surprised at how yummy it was. Service is always gracious and friendly. The bartenders know what theyre doing.

So have been waiting for this restaurant to open finally had the time to stop in, my food was not hot to start the plate was warmer than the food, my chicken taste like it was boiled, the rice taste like it was microwave with water, the red sauce taste like tomatoe pasta, no one at your table enjoyed the food, the only thing that was good was the guacamole. I would never come back or refer anyone else to go here!
