It seems so strange to write a review on such a big chain restaurant, but, here I am! Yesterday, Superbowl Sunday, we were feeling a little down since our team the Patriots werent playing, so we headed to 99 for some lunch, beer, and Celtics watching. We went around 3, and it was really quiet. A big group of friends were at the bar (where we sat), but they were very mild mannered. There was one bartender serving all of us, and he did a great job. He was very attentive and even asked me how my dessert was. I said "GREAT!" with a mouth full of apple crisp. How kind! The boyfriend ordered an XL plate of buffalo chicken tenders. It was indeed a big serving! Probably perfect to share between two people. I ate his celery and blue cheese. Its nice he shares. I ordered country fried chicken. Ive never noticed it on the menu, and its not something I would usually get, but I was SO SURPRISED at how good it was! The chicken, two pieces, was thin and really crispy with great breading. It came with mashed potatoes, perfectly seasoned, broccoli (which Im pretty sure was steamed fresh, not heated from frozen), cranberry sauce, and covered in a really tasty gravy. It filled me up, and I was able to eat the other half for lunch the next day (it re-heated beautifully). I also had apple crisp for dessert. It was very yummy, the apples were not total mush. The topping had nuts in it, which if you dont like nuts, dont get it. It was the perfect temp, nice and hot, and was a pretty good sized portion (I couldnt finish it after eating all that food). We had beer and strawberry lemonade, both good!!

I just flew into town after a long flight home, raced over to the 99 because I know the kitchen closes at 10:30. I politely ask the manager who was by the kitchen if I could rush in an order of a burger before they close. His response "No we already closed, bar closes at 11 and kitchen closes at 10:30." I then tell him "it is now 10:26 pm"... His response was "no we already shut down the kitchen" and turns his back to me to continue to watch tv. I then go to Pizzeria Uno, their bartender was most polite and said "no worries, our kitchen closes at 12:30". Im writing this from there, and most certainly will continue to give them my patronage for now on, since they value their customers.

Five stars for great service, the food was good too, unusual, seems like the sides were a bit skimpy but the main was very generous, got steak tips and there were a ton of them cooked just right, great flavor, the sides were mashed and corn, also great taste, food amount of the mash but the corn side was a bit on the skimpy side but served piping hot. Most places load you with the sides and skimp on the meat...unusual but overall a very filling meal just the same.

The service was good. We came with 2 kids under 3 and 2 adults. We sat at a very small table but were welcome to use tables around us to put food that we couldnt keep on the table. I love the buffalo tenders and turkey tips. The chicken fried chicken had turkey gravy on it and if i could upload the video of how the biscuit is it may go viral. our waiter apologized for the food. we do like the 99 and will probably come back.

Compare to Applebees I almost didnt get a seat. I was here on business and since I was alone, the hostess didnt want me to take potential business. This was upsetting. Finally, after about 20min I was seated in a boot back by the kitchen. The food quality was ok, not fantastic. The waiter was attentive and prompt. Bottom Line: If you want to stop by somewhere with casual dinning and decent food selection you found it.

Dirty, slow service, inattentive despite lack of business. Food was blah. 99 used to be a reliable, decent place to eat but have had mediocre to poor experiences at all locations the last several times we visited. I think this was their last chance.

Went there with my mom and sister a couple of weeks ago. We got seated right away. We did not have to wait very long for our server to come over to our table. Our server was very polite and friendly. The food that we had ordered was correct.

I havent Ben to the 99 from 5 years ago why 1 you will never get your food the way you order every time I have to retuned the back to the kitchen 2 or 3 times befor you get it the way you get it the way you want it

I like their food, but it seems to take a long time to get your order. It might be the one I go to in Braintree MA. Other than that I like that the music isnt too load so you can hear yourself and others talk.

Normally the 99 would always get 5 stars...its got great prices, great food and a nice atmosphere but since they took the chicken and sausage alforno off the menu I took 1 star off my rating. Sorry 99!

Great lunch/dinner today with hubby, huge portions though couldnt eat it all Had great beef tips with chicken strips. Nice atmosphere with plenty of food selections. Service was great!

Ask for Brian the server, extremely friendly, very attentive and really cares about the customers experience. He gave my girlfriend and I a wonderful experience to say the least.

Too many corners cut at this place, you guys water down the mashed potatoes, add a little starch and think we wont notice.... Pay full price get half food. Not going back

Horrible. Group of 8 and they didnt have room.. got the orders wrong and then a CLUMP of hair baked into our potato skins! !!!!

Wing and trivia night is always good take but Shaun the bartender makes the whole place run with a nice local bar atmosphere
