4 ⭐ for taste: I found that the broth lacked umami flavor. In contrast, the pork, and the quality of the seaweed and bamboo shoots were exceptional. The egg was a little too runny than usual and might have needed a minute more or so. The yolk mostly faded into the broth. Im not sure if that was intentional. 3 ⭐ for service: The servers were really nice when taking our information for the wait list. They were also really polite when taking our order and in giving us suggestions. However they did not or may have forgotten to inform us that we "must" return to the restaurant within 5 minutes after receiving a text. Otherwise you would be put off their wait list and may have to wait extra. They also did not inform us that you cannot call the text notification and their web app does not provide a number to call the restaurant or in anyway inform the servers that we were on our way. For that matter, the servers cannot be absolutely sure if you have decided to cancel but can only assume when you dont arrive within 5 minutes. I understand that servers probably had a long day working and may have made a bigger deal than necessary about us arriving late. 5 ⭐ for Cleanliness: The restaurant and especially their restroom were spotless despite how busy they were. Improvements: In hopes of avoiding miscommunication and for added convenience, I hope they will include their waiting/reservation terms in the text notification or on their web app in the near future. Also I hope they will provide a way to cancel a reservation or inform the servers that we are arriving. I would give this place another try and I hope my review would help first timers. =]

A small yet cozy ramen shop. Tables and chairs are set up in a way where you are likely going to sit next to strangers enjoying wonderful bowls of ramen. Service is good. If its busy then their seating system, which will text and call you when your table is ready, makes for a good reason to take a quick walk on Newbury Street. The menu is small so it is easy to pick from. If you go with ramen and you arent familiar with it, you may want to ask for the less salty version since Japanese ramen can be considered very salty. You cant go wrong with any of the ramen choices on the menu.

When I came in I wasnt greeted and a list wasnt even visible. There was a bar and considering most bars are first come first serve I sat since no one even told me anything. When I was there a guy that works there made me stand up to sit the people behind me who had not even made a reservation or put name down. A table was not even offered to me when I was made to stand up and actually after a long reproach from the employees they finally told me about the table the worst service of my life.

If you are looking for great ramen in Boston - this is the place to go. The food is fresh and authentic, the wait staff is friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is modern and quaint. The prices are very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. I would definitely recommend this ramen shop. *Only Warning * the shop has 17 seats in it so if you are planning on eating with a large party be prepared to wait 2 hours for a table

Very tasty, very friendly staff. The place is tiny though, so if you are going there with others, expect a wait. We were told a 45 minute wait for 3. My friends left and I ended up just going alone as I really wanted ramen. They do not have the full menu online, its pretty much just ramen. its pretty much just ramen. The appetizers and such are only for their other location. I will definitely be back.

Incredibly delicious, albeit small ramen shop tucked away in an inconspicuous location in a small neighborhood block across from Simpang Asia! I had the simple chicken, noodle ramen without the spice. It was incredibly flavorful, delicious and fresh. For $0.50 more, you can get it spicy, but I was warned that it was really spicy. Parking is tough in the area, so good to plan ahead and expect a walk.

Delicious little Ramen place that is just as good as the original in Cambridge. The Ramen is all perfectly flavored and a little on the salty side but you can order with less salt. They have perfect portions and we always share a large between 2 of us. I would give this place 5 stars except it is super tiny. There is not room for more than 15 people and there are long waiting times.

Very good quality. Best Ive had in Boston (by far) and closest Ive had that comes close to the quality an authenticity of the legendary Ippudo (NYC). Pork melts in your mouth, cooked for 23 hours. Broth is very high quality. Nice staff. Be prepared to wait (outside) and respect the staffs instructions. Quality comes at a sacrifice, patience is a virtue.

I ordered the miso ramen with an egg. It was delicious :) I had to wait about 30 minutes, but I think thats common in Boston. It was worth it. Also, I noticed that this time I visited they took down names for the wait list and texted me my place in line so I could keep track of how many parties were ahead of me. I appreciated being able to check on that.

Everything we ordered was phenomenal! I had the best dumplings of my entire life at this place. They are massive and really unique! The service was fantastic; attentive, courteous & prompt. You can not call and make a reservation; you half to show up, write your name on the list and hang around, waiting to be called. Thats the only catch but its worth it.

The Miso Ramen is amazing and has no dairy in it which was perfect for me. The pork is both tender and succulent. Also get a soft-boiled egg and an extra side of pork to dump into your bowl. Portions are pretty big as well so bring an appetite. All is all great experience at this quaint little ramen stop.

Super awesome! Delicious ramen. I got the spicy one and thought the broth amazing! Ill be going back for more!! NOTE - I was solo and I was able to get right in at dinner time. Its a small place. So, if there are 2 or more of you, you might end up waiting but itd be worth it.

I want to give the taste of this restaurant 5 star but i can only give 4 star. The only issue here is because we need to wait long time in order to eat. I hope except the one in the cambrige. I want they can have a bigger space, which can contain more people.

Delicious. They dont take reservations, so stop by about two hours before you want to eat so they can put in your name. Wait time is usually 1.5-3 hours, but it depends how many people are in your party. Dont forget to add an egg to your bowl!

Tonkotsu Shio Ramen has great flavor but wish it had more chasu. You have the option of ordering from three sizes, and there arent appetizers to choose from. The focus here is on the ramen. Thats why you chose this place anyways, right?
