The sandwiches and drinks are awesome. I loved Golden Yunnan tea and the lox bagel is awesome. Love how they give you a tea pot or a nice huge mug when you are taking your drink for inside the shop. the atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable . Just wish I could turn the music off sometime! It is always very loud and rock. you see most of people reading a book or working on their computers and the music doesnt match the atmosphere at all. the AC is blasting cold air even in December! prepare to have gloves and a warm outfit if youre planning to stay in for a drink or bite. service is amazing and the people over counter are very nice.

Pavement Coffeehouse has been the area for years but at this location it has been less than a year. This one is much nicer that the previous. That being said I feel that the quality of the food is good but for the price the portions are on the small side. You order at the register and they bring the food to you. My personal opinion is they world do better if they just waited on you at the table like most restaurants. I had the omelet which there a not a lot of selection of but I kind of like the way they make the potatoes in the egg, I just wish that there were a few more choices an a little bigger.

They have vegan cream cheese options as well as a unique variety of other flavors (lemon dill, salted honey butter, hababero). Bagels are made in house, filling but not overly dense. Vegan cream cheese was good. Tequila sunrise sandwich was awesome. I got a cortado with cream. They allowed me to customize with no problem. The drip coffee is excellent. Counter culture is fair trade, rich and balanced. The atmosphere here was relaxed and cozy. I saw people dressed up and down so all seem welcomed. Good, solid coffee place with great food options.

Every time Ive gone, there is a line that I would have to wait at least 2 minutes for. First impression: This is a popular place and must be pretty good. When I get to the front of the line, I am served by a smiling friendly person. Great second impression. Every food item that Ive gotten on the menu has been quite tasty and worth the money. I cant comment on the drinks, because water is my drink of choice, but I am consistently impressed.

Great place to grab a coffee or tea if youre not in a rush. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and the employees are always friendly. It seems to be a big favorite among the college and hipster crowds. Drinks are moderately priced and the food is a bit expensive but still very tasty. The interior of this coffee shop is by far my favorite part about it. Its a great place to just crack open a book and have a drink.

I lived around the corner from Pavement for two years and probably at least once a week now I think about how much I miss that. I used to go at least three mornings a week. Amazing coffee, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches (tequila sunrise is my favorite), and really friendly employees. Whenever I am in the area now, I usually stop in for a drink or snack. I wish Pavement would open some Cambridge locations!

Great location and very attractive decoration/atmosphere. Ideal for meeting up with a few friends or just to read something/study on your own. I wish all of their coffee selection was fair trade, but only a few kinds are...and I could not get as detailed info. I will inquire about it more next time. Definitely delicious latte and coffee cake with fruits.

I ordered a Spanish latte, because I had no idea what that was. The guy at the counter explained they use sweetened condensed milk instead. I was okay with that, so I ordered it. It was a disappointment that I saw the lady behind the counter making all the coffee drinks the same- with 2% milk, and then calling out my Spanish Latte. Super disappointing.

Pavement serves Counter Culture coffee, which is one of my favorite coffee roasters. The service is always quick and there breakfast sandwiches are on point! I highly recommend Pavement, but dont expect to get coffee like you would get at Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, it is much higher quality and because of this might surprise you at first.

Worst espresso ever. I come with my italian father in law to this coffee shop that seemed to be a good one based on reviews. We ordered two espressos and they where nice looking coffee with espresso cream but the taste was horrendous. It tasted like if they mixed the coffee with achicory. We didnt complain maybe we should have to ..

Was okay. Limited choices for flavors (only 3 for lattes), prices more expensive than Starbucks, and when I ordered a latte To Go, they gave it to me in a mug, then just poured it into a regular cup to go, which is no longer a latte, as the milk and espresso is mixed. Want more options and choices? Go around the corner to Starbucks.

Cool vibe, decor and friendly staff. What else can you ask for? I enjoyed the coffee and free wifi. Even though I didnt eat anything, they seem to have a pretty good selection of healthy foods. Some of the tables needed to be cleaned off but otherwise, nice coffee break.

Friendly crew. Fills up with mostly Berkeley College.students . Great coffee, but they select the Month long type... not always a traditional "coffee taste. This cozy no-pressure place can be a daily habit! Great sandwiches but pricey small selection of dry pastries.

This coffee shop is located in the middle of a couple college campuses and it can be hard to get a seat during peak study study hours. Otherwise, great place to sit and work, drink a good cup of coffee or latte, and the breakfast sandwiches are good but not great.

Pavement has good coffee and a pleasant selection of food. The space is attractive and clean. The only inconvenience - its almost always crowded, and the coffee might not always be on point - especially with more finicky drinks like espresso-based or aeropress.

Maybe it is meant to be hipster ironic: bad expensive coffee and food with rude service, intentionally, to parody the bad expensive coffee and food with rude service people lap up in the major chains. If so, well done. Bravo!

I went into your establishment about a week ago spent 350 for a medium coffee and got coffee with a bunch of coffee grounds in the bottom and the person who waited on me seem very bored to be there or not recommend you

Though I cannot attest to the bagels and other pastries, the coffee is excellent. That said, it takes forever. A simple pour over kept me waiting close to 8 minutes when it should have been ready in 3.

Walking around the neighborhood on a hot summer day I went in here for an iced coffee and did not regret it. Reasonable pricing and cool decor. Also the coffee was delicious. Worth the walk.

1st time was great. Food was great, coldbrew was delicious. 2nd time I went thru for my order wrong and the Chai was very bland. Tequila sunrise bagel sandwich is on point though.
