Hearty & delicious with a large menu and different specialty pies each month to mix things up, K.O. Catering & Pies bolsters the distinction between "good food fast" and plain old "fast food". Room for a few to dine in, but plan to get it to go, since a half dozen people could pack the place. Everything Ive tried was great, which poses a dilemma - to revisit a favorite dish or discover something new. Fortunately, there seems to be no wrong choice. They also have a "pantry" with hard to find items for ex-pats. Im trying to walk that fine line between being an enthusiastic evangelist and sounding like a shill. You should try it, but if you dont it just means more room for those of us who are already hooked.

Great Australian meat pies! Its a small but cute place with limited seating (if you want more of a sit-down atmosphere with beer, head over to their East Boston location, KO Pies at The Shipyard), but the pies are great! Such buttery, flaky crust, hearty fillings, and theyre pretty cheap at $6.25 per pie, which is enough to fill one person up. Theres also a nice curried vegetable pie for the vegetarians. I also like getting some frozen to go so I can heat it up in the oven for one of those lazy, cold nights at home. Try some sausage rolls as well.

I love this place. Meat pies are good, but that is not all they have. Their fish and chips, the photo is above, is not breaded and has an interesting tartar sauce that does not fill you up like the breaded kind. Wonderful. And their calamari, when dipped in the sweet chili sauce that comes with it, will literally make happy when you have more and sad when it it gone. Everything is so fresh. So good!!!

I work nearby and go to lunch here about once a week. All of the meat pies are delicious and their shrimp on the barbie salad, chicken schnitzel sandwich and potato wedges are fantastic too. Friendly service and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend checking this spot out.

I cant say enough good things about KO. I really miss living just two blocks away and being able to stock my freezer with frozen pies. Try everything! Dont skip the sausage roll, or the schnitzel. Or the potato wedges, gods I miss the potato wedges with that Thai chili sauce...

Their meat pies are so good! But be aware: there are only a few seats available. Definitely a hole in the wall. But their decor is so cute, and the food is fantastic without breaking my bank, and they even have vegetarian available. Would definitely go back.
