Upon entering the doors of Banyan, youre instantly transported from the urban steps of the South End into a chic environment inspired by South East Asia. The entire space is filled with earth elements, from the bamboo lined walls to the elegant tree-branch chandelier fixtures. Your experience here is elevated even further by the friendly staff, and mouth watering food that delivers pops of flavor with each bite. I would recommend sharing several dishes with your dinner companions to fully experience the various South East Asian flavors showcased at Banyan. To compliment your food, they also offer a great range of cocktails as well as the yummy frozen beer, which goes well with the flavor packed dishes you will enjoy here. Make your way to Banyan for a great dining experience!

I really enjoyed the variety of tapas style dishes. In addition, the prices were lower than what I expected. Between the two of us, we ordered 4 dishes. Two were main and the other were sides. Enough food to satisfy your appetite. For those vegetarians out there, many options! We ordered: roasted cauliflower, warm squash salad, veggie rice bowl and salmon bowl. The decor is very chic with a warm and intimate vibe. The service was friendly and quick. If youre a party of two and seated at a table for two, be warned...the tables are pretty close to one another. Like I said, its an intimate setting. I hope to return soon and try out there brunch menu.

Service was ok to mediocre; at first got the impression we werent welcome there...other than the bartender delivering drinks - nice guy. Server was barely around and it wasnt that busy. Food was bland. It promises Asian fusion at a high price but it must be geared to the palate for those that love boiled over food with no seasoning. If your taste buds are dead, go here. If you actually have a palate and enjoy food with flavor and warm, happy people working to make your evening a success, keep looking.

Honestly dont waste your time the food is decent and the drinks mediocre. Cost wasnt too bad. The ambiance may be the only reason as their patio is the envy of any restaurant in the area. Service could also be better I often find multiple people attending me which has led to a couple drinks either never showing up or arriving as Im getting up. By all means give them a try, but honestly you can find better food.

Tapas: read a wiki, people. Yeah this place is expensive (South End, hotspot, city prices) but the food is terrific. The only prices that are quite excessive are the wine prices, no bottles less than $56 and glass pours are mere sips. My one complaint would be the unnecessarily loud acoustics. Lots of narcissistic millennials screaming their heads off. Otherwise a delightful place.

EVERYTHING HERE WAS SO GOOD. Seriously, I wish I could have tried more food. I had the banh mi and vietnamese coffee and they were both on point. The owner or manager (I dont know what his position was) is also a great host. He made a point to talk to a bunch of the patrons during the period we were there and was happy to make suggestions to you. Definitely coming back.

The best meal I had on my trip to Boston. The food was excellent. Well made, interesting, well presented dishes. The staff was fantastic. Each member was welcoming and extremely helpful. The recommended cocktail was delicious and a great accompaniment to the brunch dishes. Will absolutely make a point of eating there again, the next time Im in Boston.

Great ambiance. This restaurant serves small plates that were very tasty. The cocktail menu has creative variations of classic drinks and new creations. All the drinks were good. They even have a frozen slushy beer, but we did not try it.
