We saw so many great reviews of this place and we were in the area so we figured wed give it a try. Its basically any small town pub style restaurant, large bar area, keno, old wooden booths, etc. The waitress took our drink order but disappeared for about 10 minutes, and even when she brought our drinks she then said shes be right back to take our order and disappeared for another 5 minutes. The food finally came and it was very bland. The fries were basically just frozen cut potatoes with no salt or seasoning at all, very boring fries. My burger was well done, despite that I asked for medium, and it seemed like a thin frozen hamburger patty I would have gotten from Wendys and fried on the flat top. It was loaded with stuff, and slid sideways on the plate, so was not longer easy to pick up and eat as it was pretty much disassembled in a big blob on the plate. My wifes chicken sandwich was OK but nothing special, again no real flavor and quite bland. Even the bun was like Stop and Shop brand buns. Then the waitress disappeared again and it took a while for us to finally get the bill, but as soon as I put money down she was magically there to collect it. So not sure how it got so great reviews, maybe because its basically in the middle of nowhere and there are no other options. Perhaps we caught it on an off day, but it was Sunday at lunchtime with football going on, so they should be on their game. Either way was quite disappointed and would not go there again.

The waitstaff per usual were extremely friendly, and showed a wonderful comrade rye towards prebusing one anothers sections. Not to mention multiple check backs. I work in the hospitality industry so I do have high expectations when I dine. This place never stops amazing me though. Also the food is absolutely scrumptious and delightful. That should go without saying for any individual that ever comes here.

Great food. Theres nothing fancy here, but thats ok. What they do, they do well. If you enjoy a comfortable environment with the ability to get a fairly priced meal, good service, a cold beer or cocktail, you cant go wrong. A very enjoyable experience.

The menu has a great selection to choose from. I got the fish & chips and the fish was a pretty large portion. The honey wings and skins apertizer are very good. I would definitely recommend the roast house to any freind, family. Or stranger. ♥

Great place to eat with reasonable pricing. Small dining area so you may have to wait but the food is usually worth the wait. You can also eat at the bar and there are plenty of TV to watch your favorite team play. Gary Kellenberger

Great place, love the atmosphere..... am from Texas and they made me feel right at home.... you have to try the wings!!! I also met the owner and shes lovely very polite, I will definitely come back when Im in town
