IHOP has a history of being slow, much like Friendlies. If you have been to one, you know what you are getting at pretty much any other. I expect service to be a little slow. I do NOT go there if I expect to be in and out in 30 minutes (though generally we are in and out in 45 minutes or less). We go there about 1 or 2 times a month. Depending on the night, you can expect slow service (Wednesday being over 55 night it is packed and we have had to wait for a table once). Kids night, Tuesday, is pretty good. We have gone there many times on Tuesdays and have been out within 45 minutes (have to be somewhere by 6:30 on Tuesdays so if it was horrid we wouldnt go). I cannot complain about the food. It is generally good. It is what you expect with no glitz or glamour. If you expect that, dont eat here. If I put in an order and it came out in 5 minutes I might wonder how long it had sat under the heating lamps. I am an extremely picky eater: If it isnt well done (even the eggs) I wont touch it. If I have one bad experience at a place, I wont eat at that place or any associated place. Overall, I take my mother-in-law to this place and my sisters with their kids. My wife and kids go as well. If there was an issue, i certainly wouldnt take my kids there (cant say the same about the Shrewsbury location...just bad service there...spent 30 minutes in a both during an uncrowded night and walked out the door...not sure they even noticed).

This is the 3rd IHOP we have tried since moving to Massachusetts (this was our favorite place for breakfast before we moved). I give up. I was excited about the good reviews and drove 30 minutes to get here. There were two other tables with customers when we arrived, so not busy at all. After ordering we waited an hour for our food (all breakfast...doesnt take an hour to make) while watching everyone who came in after us get theirs first. No drink refills were offered during this time. After an hour only half of our order came out. The food we got first was ice cold on the inside and not good at all. When the rest of the food came out we were still missing pancakes which we had to wait even longer for. Management did give us a free meal due to the trouble, so that was decent, but after finishing our meal we waited another 25 minutes for the server to take our payment. So disappointed and wont be back or recommend it to anyone.

My wife and I went into IHOP on 9/18, we were acknowledged by the man behind the counter after several minutes and were told to "wait a minute", he disappeared. We both noted the smell of wet dog, at this point we should have left, but for whatever reason, we did not. About 5 minutes after walking in we were asked to follow a member of staff to a table, there must have been only 6 or 7 tables with people at them - all with drinks, no food. We werent asked if we wanted anything, the staff member simply walked away. We sat there for ten minutes, not seeing any other staff member and looking at the other customers becoming frustrated before we got up to leave. When we did so, the original staff member appeared, shrugged his shoulders and said "Sorry". We have been here before and it was okay, but yesterday, it was terrible. Probably wont be going back to try again for a long time, if ever.

Its IHOP is not a fancy restaurant. Plus you have people there pulling 2 shifts... Be nice... If you want an upscale breakfast go somewhere else... You get what you paid for... Thats why its so cheep... Hate people with their noses in the air... Also the reason why its slow is because there arent that many waiters working there... And they wait on more than just your table they probably have 7-10 tables depending on the size of the place... So relax you are getting what you paid for... (No I do not work here I work retail and I know what its like to get crapped on when a customer doesnt get what they want... Get off your high horse you arent better then anyone)

Absolutely abhorrent food, service, and management. When we were seated, we waited 10 minutes for our waitress, then another 10 minutes for our drinks, then another 10 minutes for non-decaf tea since they gave me decaf, then another 5 minutes for hot water and lemon for my mother. Our waitress was MIA so another space cadet had to wait on us while waitress #1 was doing lines in the bathroom. The food was disgusting and overdone, as was the "fixed" set of food they brought. The manager (who was dressed inappropriately for the job) just said "Im sorry" in a lethargic tone over and over again. She gave us a 25% discount on our bill. Never coming back.

Wish I could give zero stars. Absolutely no accountability. Go here if you would like to spend about half a day waiting to be seated, assigned a waiter and finally fed. After waiting 45 minutes(the hostess keeps saying 2 minutes, 5 more minutes etc every now and then), we finally got seated, waited 15 more minutes and asked a waiter who our waiter is. He came back about 5 minutes later saying, as no one is assigned it looks like Ill be your waiter. I dont want to waste more time explaining what else went wrong.

Worst service ever! We left our house with a hours wait so we put in a reservation. It takes 30 min to get there from our house. When we got there we got there we waited another 30 min and were still not called waited another 20 min and were told that it would still be another 20 min. Meanwhile a party of 20 PEOPLE ARRIVED WITHOUT RESRVATIONS AND WERE SEATED RIGHT AWAY!!!!! Well that took about 10 tables in the restaurant so another quote on quote hour wait for us. DONT COME HERE!!!! 0/5 no stars.

We have frequented the restaurant in Northboro over the past 4 years and were pleased to see that the entire new menu has been enhanced to include many new and exciting options. BRAVO! The staff and service has always been very good. The location is terrific as its in the same shopping center as Wegmans where we shop. Keep up the good work, and always look to innovate. A fine IHOP. Feels "newer" then most, lots of space, decent variety on the menu. Ive been going to IHOPs forever; most of them feel like little holes in the wall. Not this one. Staff is friendly, though sometimes they seem a little understaffed. No complaints, love to go their as a low-commitment, low-stress eatery for the kids.

Observed the server was waiting on 11 other tables plus us and we still had excellent service and food. We had our drinks quickly did not have to wait for them or for our order to be taken. Food came out hot and correct. Highly impressed by our server and the support she had. Thank you.

Hit or miss. I usually enjoy myself there but today the eggs were burned, the bacon was all fat and soggy and the ham tasted funny. The hashbrowns were over half the size smaller than normal and also burned. Staff was great though and food came quick.
