Mayuri is always our last resort as an Indian restaurant if we want to go out to eat, due to multiple bad experiences, like flies at the buffet and in the restaurant during last summer, the last time we ate here. This past Memorial Day Monday, it was again and with a similar end result. My Mother-In-Law was staying with us and she wanted to go out to eat Masala Dosa, which is not served at most Indian restaurants. We called around and most of the Indian restaurants were closed due to it being Monday. Mayuri was open and we called in advance to make sure that they had Masala Dosa, which they said they had. We arrived and were seated fairly quickly. We told the waiter that we wanted Masala Dosa. He then stated that they don’t serve Masala Dosa during the BUFFET! WHAT!!! We then told him about calling to confirm they served Masala Dosa and he made an exception. He ONLY let my Mother-In-Law order Masala Dosa! The rest of us had to eat at the buffet! NO, I’m not making this up. She enjoyed her Masala Dosa, which came out quickly and we ate from the cold buffet. For some reason, most of the food is always luke warm to cold during every visit, which is always strange since we always arrive shortly after they open. And like all the past visits, the food sat like a huge brick in our stomachs, so much so, that we had to skip dinner seven hours later, because everyone was still uncomfortably full from lunch at noon. In addition, the food makes everyone need to use the bathroom every couple of hours. I’m not sure why this restaurant gets good reviews. The wait staff is obnoxiously rude. The food is luke warm to cold and you can’t eat anything for the rest of the day because it makes you feel almost nauseously full. We have vowed never to go here again even if it means traveling an hour for good Indian food elsewhere.

We moved to Littleton recently and during the process had 4-5 occasions to try this restaurant. Our experience so far has been bad. Food- mediocre;Much better places around. Food seems to be low on salt and cold; We even ordered some kebabs to go for a small get together- they were absolutely bad. We had to bake them again for 30 minutes to make them palatable and chewable!Who makes chicken kebabs the size of tandoori chicken and that too with breast meat? They were very hard and finally we ended up trashing them. Our guests did not seem to be surprised when we told them we got it from Mayuri. Service- disenchanted people serving the clients bordering rude. Ambience- Ok; Cost-$$$$- expensive We really hope this restaurant picks up as it is close to us. I hope the owner looks into the issue ( Mainly food and service) and rectifies it.

This is by far the best Indian restaurant available in and around Acton ma. Whoever says otherwise needs to get their eyes checked or a Cat scan done. The place is clean spacious and neatly arranged all the time. The waiters waitresses are courteous and ready to be of service always. The weekend and lunch buffet have a great variety of veg/nonveg palate and both cold/hot drinks are served upon request! The place is open longer than usual Indian eateries in Maynard Bedford Chelmsford or u name it. Mayuri restaurant is a fresh and clean breath of Indian cuisine that is fortunately available in Acton

This is my first visit to this restaurant and this review is only for this visit !!!! Started on a very good note, good ambiance, warm and prompt service !!! But the majority of the food items which we ordered were under-cooked and not so flavorful !!! On top of this, as a final note, boneless biryani was a total disaster, not at all south Indian style, it was wet and mushy with under-cooked chicken cubes !!! I will give a second try and see !!!

Terrible food. As a foodie whos been to many Indian restaurants, I can definitively say I have never had such a sorry excuse for Indian food before. The Curries were swimming in oil and an overabundance of ready made spice mixes while the bread was thick enough to replace leather. The desserts were insipid and from their taste, leftovers from the week before. I would not and will not, return to the lunch buffet.

Third time Ive been here, and weve had great service every time. From the minute we walked in, we were treated well and seated promptly. Friendly and attentive service. Huge selection and variety! Curries tasted fresh and authentic made from raw ingredients at the restaurant, tailored to your desired spiciness. Naan fresh and tasty! Would highly recommend - will definitely return

Worst Indian restaurant Ive ever been to. We were the only people there. Service was at a snails pace, prices were way too high, the food was cold and the dishes were bland and uninteresting. Spend your money and time at Monsoon down the road or Holi in Bedford for a far superior eating experience. Trust me youll be thankful you did.

We went to Mayuri for the first time on Mothers day for buffet. Our experience was not so good. The food were lukewarm and the staff seemed panicky. It was taking long time for the staff to replenish the food in the empty container. The non veg starters were without any sauce or chutney. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

It was superb. The staff was extremely nice in helping us to calibrate the spice level we want. The food was extremely good. There were two delights which were exceptional: Apollo Fish, Chicken 65. The breads were perfect fresh and soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, just what the authentic naan is supposed to be.

We decided to go here in-spite of our friend warning us. Thinking it is a South Indian chain we ordered veg platter, dum biriyani. Never tasted such awful cutlet or dum biriyani. Samosa and pakora were also substandard. Hope the owners take note of what they are offering as this is a new outlet.

Delicious, fresh indian food. A gem. The restaurant has abundant seating. Improvements: the lighting is cold and glaring and could be more intimate. Bollywood videos play on two giant screens : its entertaining but can be a little too distracting.

Its average fare, usual Indian buffet with the chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, biryani, etc. Nothing to really rave about unless you have never had really good Indian food. Btw, Boston area doesnt have any good Indian restaurants..

The staff were nice and there were many options during the lunch buffet! It was also great to see a separate section for veggie options. The food was delicious, as well. Ill have to come back again to try the dinner experience.

As an Indian, I can attest for the superb quality of food here. The variety of dishes is what sets this place apart from all other Indian restaurants Ive eaten at. The lunch buffet is totally worth the price!
