Bad from start to finish. I wish I would have realized all the good reviews were from two years ago before I made the poor decision to eat at Julies Place. I choose to sit at the counter so that I could be away from the cold air when the door opened. What I saw was less than appetizing. I asked if the corn beef hash was homemade since it costs $4.25 for a side. It wasnt. It came out of a can. I still like canned corn beef hash so I ordered it extra crispy/burnt. My server informed me they dont make it extra crispy but that the cook makes it good. I dont care how the cook usually makes it if Im telling you that I want it burnt. As I waited for my food I watched the one good line cook spoon an egg mixture that had been sitting on the counter, not on ice, into pans for scrambled eggs. The warm egg mixture sat next to an open crock pot of liquid cheese. On the griddle sat precooked bacon and potatoes. Nothing looked appetizing or sanitary. When my food was finally ready my server handed me my barely crisped hash and in a rude tone of voice asked me if I would be able to handle that? The only thing that I was able to eat was the Market Basket raison toast I ordered. In summary, terrible service, terrible food, dirty. Go to Market Basket and buy their bread. Youll save time and money and enjoy it more than enduring Julies Place. If you are one of the few people in Acton that have no taste buds and like Julies Place then do yourself a favor and dont ever sit at the counter and see how your food is prepared.

3/12/16 I have no idea where these 5 star experiences are coming from. You must be related because this place sucks. The food is gross and ridiculously over priced. If you dont get the cheese omelette its 8o cents more on top of the 8.95 price. Want OJ thats 3.00 dollars, and comes in a plastic bottle with a glass on top so you can do it yourself. The veggie omelette was gross and the veggies overcooked. The hash comes out of a can for 4.95 as a side. The home fries are boiled potatoes not seasoned and no crisp outside. My son wanted to enjoy his poached eggs over bacon, but when the dish came to the table. It had two slices of white cheese placed on top not even melted. If it wasnt for the server and crap coffee that I couldnt even drink. It would have been a wasted trip for crap food. Dont waste your time and find a better place thats worth the drive.

I went to Julies this morning for breakfast and as I was waiting to be seated several people just came through the door and grabbed tables. There was a sign at the door, "Please wait to be seated". I just ended up leaving and called Julies later to offer a suggestion of a bigger waiting to be seated sign. The fellow on the phone told me it was open seating. So why the "wait to be seated sign"? Sorry, Ill never bother with this place again.

Comparing to other breakfast places I have been, this place is average, a bit pricey for the food and the service was OK, yes waitstaff complained from their personal issues, to the tips they got, my tip was average, and heres why, people sitting on 3 sides of me, more coffee?, More coffee?, More coffee?...and....guess I put on my invisibility undies...no more coffee for me

Worst experience Ive ever had! Had to wait like 10 minutes to get a water. When it was not even busy with 3 waitresses. The good was not good at all! The cheese in the omelet was not even melted. Did not get my order right after she went over it . Definitely not a good diner and horrible service. I do not recommend. I would rather dunkins

Its just OK because its really the only decent breakfast place in a 5-10 mile radius. As some have mentioned some of the wait staff are surly and pissy and thats just stupid. The breakfast is OK, home fries a little soggy, but breakfast is edible and palatable. They have enough business to not have to worry about improving anything.

We waited about 15 minutes to be seated which was fine. The food was ok. Most importantly, we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. Other people who sat down after us were served first. We complained but it didnt speed up our order. During this time, we both ran out of coffee and had to ask for refills.

Love that you can still get a good breakfast for under $5. This is a classic diner. Somewhat surly waitresses who call you "hon". Dont expect anything fancy and you will love it. Waffles and French toast are delish.

Nothing Special for sure. But good food, good service. Everything youd want from a diner. If youre hungry and dont want to make youre own eggs/pancakes and live in the area. This is the place to go.

This place is confused about what it wants to be. Is it a breakfast place, a bar, a restaurant, or a place for regulars to hang out?
