If you are a trend setter or young professional in Eldersburg, then this is the place you want to be. Fresh sushi and other items are available for sit down or take-out. The restaurant is a bit small or just poorly planned out but it serves its purpose. This is not a cheap dining experience by any means but the product is fresh and delicious. You can eat with chop sticks or form whichever you prefer. The wait staff are friendly but there is a slight language barrier. Nonetheless, you will still walk away from the table satisfied. The parking lot is a bit awkward but it must have been designed by the same firm that designed the interior. Enough said.

Best sushi Ive ever had anywhere, every time!! They always use the highest quality fish and rice with very generous portions for a modest price. This is my go-to place for any occasion or day of the week. The service is great, very attentive and fast. I love that they will give you a free maki roll or cheesecake, depending on what you order. I can literally taste the pride and artistry of the sushi chefs as they make even the simplest rolls. I like sitting at the bar just to watch them quickly create edible art. The salmon sushi melts in your mouth....best best BEST restaurant ever!!! Also, its BYOB...it cannot get any better at J&Y!

This place is the definition of a diamond in the rough. Sitting in a small parking lot next to a knitting shop, youd never guess youd walk inside to such amazing service, from the moment you step inside until you leave, everyone is wonderful. The sushi, perfect for any taste. I like a cooked sushi variety and my husband thinks the crazier the better, weve been here tons of times and havent tried even a portion of the things on the menu because they have such great choices! They are fast, clean, have a cute little store in the back. Great times with great friends always happens at J&Y Sushi!

The food is excellent each and every time I eat here, which is very often. I absolutely love the sushi and many of the side dishes. Actually, I love it so much that Iconfident in saying that its the best Ive had outside of Taiwan. I would recommend this place to all sushi lovers and challenge others who arent to give their sushi a try because its just that good here. I love the atmosphere - the people are so nice, and they always give a complimentary dish. You will have a wonderful experience if you just give the little place a chance.

The first time I heard of this place, I didnt even give it any thought, and when I saw I thought wow, I wouldnt eat in there. But as soon as you walk in, BAM. Its so nice! It smells delicious and WOWW I could eat the food all day. The prices are fair, especially for the quality of the food. This place has the best sushi Ive ever had, I dont even bother eating sushi anywhere else anymore. Youll always get a free dish to try, like others have said, which adds even more to the value. Over all, MY FAVORITE PLACE EVER =]

It doesnt look like much from the street, in fact I thought it was just carry out. When we wandered in what a pleasant surprise. Its very warm and welcoming. The owners who are there all the time at least when Ive gone, treat you so special, you almost feel famous. They are forever giving us stuff we didnt order so we can try new things. The food is excellent! Their specials are fun and wonderful, I particularly like their Pink Lady. Definitely worth a try for sure if your a sushi fan!!

This is the best sushi you will ever eat! This is my favorite restaurant. The service is usually pretty good but if you come at dinner time on the weekend you will probably have to wait for a table. Its also byob. I recommend this place to everyone that loves sushi. Their menu is solely sushi though so dont expect to eat chicken tempura for you non-sushi people. They also give you a free roll of sushi with your order which is a great touch as well as free cheesecake for dessert.

This location has been many things over the years, but clearly theyre doing something right at J&Y. The sushi is amazing. I know people who come from Westminster and Towson for it. Ive never had a bad experience. In fact, I once experimented with making my own sushi and I came to J&Y to buy produce and rice and they were nice enough to give me the rice vinegar for free. So glad theyre doing well, they really deserve it. Great value, THE best sushi, wonderful staff and service.

If I could give this place 500 stars I would. Best sushi ive ever had, the service was above and beyond, and the store had things ive been looking for for months. <3 Seriously, they rock! We didnt understand how such a great place wasnt packed 24/7. We even got a free roll on the house! And of course, it was as delicious as everything else. All the tempura was fresh and still warm as it got to our table, as was the eel. Cant wait for our next visit <3

J & Y Tokyo Market is a great way to try an authentic sushi experience. The staff are very friendly and warm which makes you feel right at home. The sushi is always fresh and you can tell the chiefs take great care in making the rolls so you get a delicious tasting meal. The restaurant also gives one free roll to their customers to try to get them out of their comfort zone.Come to J & Y and you will never stop coming back!

This place is fantastic! Free menu items to keep customers happy. Great, no-frills Sushi. My fiancée and I have been to all of the sushi places near and in Eldersburg, and find that this is the restaurant by which all others are judged and none have measured up. You will experience great value and warm, friendly service. After you eat at J & Y, youll never want to eat at Tonys or Osaka again. They just do not measure up.

Not a bad thing to say (expect parking can be tough). Love them. Different sauces and options then the other options in the area. Best prices in the area too. Definitely get the dynamite and kani sunomono. Cute little store in the back too to get sushi supplies for your house. Sweet staff, though when its slow they tend to hover a bit too much but hey, if thats all I have to complain about thats gotta be good. :)

I started going to j&y a few years ago when I felt like no one knew this place existed. Then as the years have gone by more and more people are going to this excellent sushi place. The staff is so friendly and take great care of you. The sushi is not too expensive. The chef always hooks you up with a free roll to try. You can bring your own alcohol in there as well. Best sushi in the four county area!!

This used to be my favorite sushi place but it seems to be slipping. Our rolls tonight werent bad but they werent exceptional like they used to be. The jalapeños and the avocado had no flavor at all and the rice paper and no-rice rolls had some serious structural integrity problems. They literally fell apart when you picked them up. There are better sushi options closer to home.
